Moms Panel Results!?

I would not chance anything at this point. You have made it this far and would not want to do anything to hurt your chances. I too hope you can sleep at night. I do wish I would have made it past round two, but it has been nice knowing that a big weight has been lifted off my back. We are going to DisneyLand 11/28-12-2, and we would have needed to make some schedule changes to that trip if I had won. Not to mention our kids would be missing school again one week later.
I wonder what they would have done (or will do) if someone with a family of 5 or more wins? They say the trip is for the winner and 3 additional people. I am a SAHM and so I would need to take the kids with me (they would want to go too) and someone would need to take care of them while I was in training. My thoughts were that we would just pay for the extra person. Anyone else thought of this?

Send me a PM with your email address, and I'd be happy to help out another 2nd-rounder! The document is a "pdf" file, so you will need Adobe Acrobat to read it. Some that have Macs have had problems - not sure if Macs don't work with "pdf" files .

Congrats to all our Dissers who have made it to Round 3!!! So happy for all of you! Not to psyche anyone out, but you have basically a 50/50 chance now of being selected - that is AMAZING!!!!!

Have they told you when the FINAL DECISION will be made? Didn't the contest rules say something about the first of Nov?

Add me to the list of Disney lovers who were not selected to move into the final phase for the Panel. I thought I effectively balanced my knowledge with real insight into my heart. Knowing I wrote my answers well, I went back today and recounted my words. That night I counted 100 words or less for each of the three second round answers and submitted them with no over word error. Today I recounted and see I had 104 for my second answer. OOOps. Do you think you were disqualified for going over the count or do you think the judges were just able to read the first 100 words? I should have quadruple checked this!

I wish all of you in phase three the very best of luck with your phone interviews!

I do not think the 100 word number was set in stone. I know I went over a little on all three. I think the 100 word target was up there so you would know to leep it manageable...in other words, so the readers could get through all the responses in a reasonable amount of time.

Thanks a lot for the luck....my interview is today at 4:40 eastern...it will be interesting!!! And good luck to the other finalists...hopefully they will take all 6 of us.

OK, to those who have moved on...have you spoken with the rep to schedule your interview yet? She told me that there are 25 of us moving on, but the letter said 26. I guess someone has been eliminated already???

When I talked to the Disney rep on the phone, I asked her a couple of questions. The first was whether it was 25 or 26, and she said, oh yeah, it is 26, I have been telling everyone 25.

I also asked her about the trips. Well, not both of them, but I asked if the family was invited on the training trip and she said that was a good question but she did not know. She said I should ask the people doing the interviews, as they knew more about the logistics.

Finally, someone asked about background checks...she said anyone who does anything officially representing Disney has to go through a background check...make sense. I mean I do not think Disney wants to have some crazy person answering questions about vacation planning. They might send them to some bizarre place like Universal, or Seaworld.

Anyway...I know you are shocked, but the CM I talked to scheduling the interview was great, and she genuinely sounded excited about the panel and that I was a finalist. I am sure she did that for everyone, but it was neat to have someone else excited as my wife just rolled her eyes and laughed at me for being the lunatic Disney freak.

That was totally adorable! That's how I felt just getting to the second round -- that it was awesome to know that someone at Disney had actually read my words. How terrific that you got to TALK to someone who was genuinely excited that you were moving forward.
