Moms Panel Results!?

I didn't make it to the 2nd round, so I don't want to intrude, but as an English teacher perhaps I can shed some light on this for you.

The question is speaking of The Walt Disney Resort as a whole - parks, hotels, etc. It is this way because The Walt Disney Resort is the subject of the sentence. If it was asking for just one resort, it would have been worded, " What Walt Disney Resort would you most recommend a family visit, and why?" It would be very awkward to ask what 'part' of a resort you would recommend, so they more than likely would have worded it like the example I have above, perhaps asking for specific activities that you would recommend at that resort.

They should have stayed consistent in their wording, but hopefully, this helps you a bit. Good luck to all, Tiger :)

This too is how I viewed the question!

So....Where abouts are "younz guys" from?

I'm in North Huntingdon, near Monroeville.

Add me to the list of Disney lovers who were not selected to move into the final phase for the Panel. I thought I effectively balanced my knowledge with real insight into my heart. Knowing I wrote my answers well, I went back today and recounted my words. That night I counted 100 words or less for each of the three second round answers and submitted them with no over word error. Today I recounted and see I had 104 for my second answer. OOOps. Do you think you were disqualified for going over the count or do you think the judges were just able to read the first 100 words? I should have quadruple checked this!

I wish all of you in phase three the very best of luck with your phone interviews!

I'm so sorry. :( I don't know what their system would have done. :grouphug:

I am actually (originally) from Greene County, a teeny-tiny little town called Rices Landing that few have ever heard of...Waynesburg is the county seat and more people have heard of it. Washington was the big city when I was growing up, home to our closest movie theater & mall (which was 45 minutes from our house!) :rotfl:

It really IS a small world! :goodvibes

Sorry for not checking in earlier guys, but I MADE IT as well. I am shocked!!!! The letter is below, but I am so amazed!!!!

I found out a while ago but my parents came into town, and they just left to go to their hotel....so wow.

To all of those people who wished us luck, thank you so much:goodvibes , and to those who did not get to the 3rd round...you guys are awesome, and based on so many of your responses here, you deserve to be here so much!!!

Ok...the letter:

OK, to those who have moved on...have you spoken with the rep to schedule your interview yet? She told me that there are 25 of us moving on, but the letter said 26. I guess someone has been eliminated already???

Ok here are my answers:

First Round-
I’m Tabitha, age 31, a stay at home mom, and a huge Disney fan. I love WDW and have been there more times than I can count. I’m the one everyone calls to find out about Disney fun for young kids, that is my area of expertise, however I also can help with tips for any age. I love planning trips. I look forward to our family vacations to WDW all year long. I love bringing that Disney magic into my kids’ everyday lives. One of my childhood favorite memories is watching the Sunday night Disney movie with my family.

I have two kids Lilly, age 22 months, and Brent, age 6. My son has been to WDW 6 times and my daughter has been 2 times. My husband and I have been married for eight years, but have been together since high school. My husband and I love Disney World, we honeymooned there. My kids love to look at our WDW pictures and videos. My son is always asking when we can go again. My daughter has been a huge princess fan since before she could talk. We are currently planning a surprise trip just before Christmas.

I love planning trips. I love to share information with other families. It is great to be able to share a tip or a story with someone and make their trip that much more magical. Disney World is the only place we go on vacation because it’s the only place we want to be. I have learned a lot about taking small children to Disney and have become very good at planning and preparing for trips. We have been at various times of the year including MNSSHP, MVMCP, Magical Beginnings, Flower and Garden Festival, & Food and Wine Festival.

Second Round-
I think it is very important to have a plan when visiting WDW, but be prepared to be flexible and follow the cues of your kids, especially when you have young children. When kids get tired or hot it is best to take a break somewhere. Staying on property or visiting a baby care center can be a great asset. Just getting out of the sun, taking a nap or a swim can recharge everyone. When a child is rested and happy it makes a much better trip for all.

My family and I were in MGM visiting with the Playhouse Disney Characters on Mickey Avenue. Annie had just come out and came over to visit with my daughter who was 19 months old. Since we were the only ones around, Annie decided to take my daughter by the hand and walk her down to meet Mickey. Mickey came out and got down on his knees to greet my daughter. The whole experience was very sweet and my daughter was very excited by it. Since then she is always asking to watch herself and Annie on video.

To pick one part of WDW for a family would depend a lot on that family’s make up and preferences. So choosing for families in general, I would say Magic Kingdom. There is something for everyone there and it is truly the most magical. There are rides for all types of riders, spectacular parades, and amazing fireworks. The castle is a magical sight every time. There are plenty of places to meet or dine with Mickey and friends. There is just something about the atmosphere at Magic Kingdom that warms your heart and makes you feel young again.

I thought the second round questions were much harder to answer in less than one hundred words.
Good luck to those of you moving on to Round 3!:woohoo: :woohoo:
I'll be cheering you on!:cheer2: :cheer2:

Your Responses were EXCELLENT!!

Bella, did you post what you wrote in the essays?? Love to read them!:goodvibes

I didn't post them - I wasn't sure if we were allowed?

If I were you, Heather, I wouldn't post anything yet...I would just wait until after you are officially ON the panel (I'm thinkin' positive for ya:) )and then post your winning responses if Disney says it's okay!

This is so exciting, you would think I myself made it to round 3, but even though I only made it to round 2, I'm really happy for you guys and can't wait to hear all the details once you get the clearance to give them!

Congratualtions to all who made the finals!!!

HOW DO YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT?? I would be soooo excited I don't think I could sleep. Sending good vibes :goodvibes and Disney Magic to all the finalists:wizard:

You know, Heather, I thought she said 25 also. I was thinking it was either a mistake on her part OR maybe someone opted out when they mentioned the background checks.

Hello! If anyone could help me out, I would really appreciate it. When I got to the 2nd round, I was unable to bring up what they sent, apparently it was a certificate???? I would love to have it for memories. If anyone could send it to me, I would really appreciate it. For some reason, my computer wouldn't let me download it.

Thanks so much!

Thats right Bella, there are some who posted but
they didn't make it to the next round. I can't wait
