Good news here......
The girls' performance was knock your socks off good! The bad news: I didn't make it on to the next round! Oh, well...one other good thing came of all this...I was so bummed to not make it that DH told me to go ahead and plan a trip for next year....and that's despite the fact he made me promise to not return to WDW for the next five vacations! lol
So, I'll take the good and leave the bad!
Congratulations to you all who moved on!! We're all proud of you and hope you keep filling us in on your ongoing adventure!
Now, do you want to read my 2nd round answers?
Question 1:
Dont be a lemming at WDW. See where the crowds are heaviest and then choose the path-less-traveled so that you have more space to hold hands with your family and an increased chance of discovering some delightfully hidden details. Find the path between Toontown and Tomorrowland and enjoy the walkway that gives you the feeling that you have the Magic Kingdom to yourselves. Take the cue line to the right when entering Pirates and smile at all the good folks who begin to look curiously like lemmings on the other side as they wait longer than you to ride.
Question 2:
After months of planning, the first night of our extended-family vacation proved to be the most memorable. Our bellies hurting from eating too much and laughing too hard at Whispering Canyon, we boarded a pontoon boat to experience our seemingly private Wishes. Surrounded by my loved ones at my favorite place, I knew we had a week-long full-of-fun adventure ahead of us that would include swimming in the Living Seas, bass fishing in front of the Magic Kingdom, and so much more. After the fireworks, I turned to my family and told them I couldnt ask to be any happier.
Question 3:
With all there is to do and see at WDW, it is easy to unintentionally push your family to the point of exhaustion with an urge to do it all. When that happens, it isnt pretty and the fun grinds to a halt. Therefore, I recommend every family plan on investing time in visiting their resort. Relax by the pool, nap, and enjoy the ambience in the lobby. To step away from the hustle and bustle of the parks is not a waste of time and will pay you back with a family that is rested and ready for more adventure.
