Missoni for Target

Yeah, not my style either.

I dont like it either. My DH and I saw a commercial last night and I said, eww how ugly that stuff is, I cant imagine anyone wanting to buy that stuff. Guess I was wrong.

I saw a friend post something about this on Facebook and I was wondering what the hype was about. She said there were grown women fighting over it at Target. I find it to be hideously ugly personally. People sure do follow the "trends" lately though.

Missoni has been around since the 1950's - hardly a "flash in the pan" trend.

I have no plans of buying out the line, but there are a couple cute pieces. Perfect for fall and to spruce up some of my boring brown and black basics. I don't much care for any of the home pieces, though.

Well, Scarlet made a dress out of the draperies.... guess I'll go get my Gran's afghans and make a dress....

That stuff is hideous.

I agree with the above poster, the houseware stuff is cute but i would not buy the clothes for myself. but that's just me. :goodvibes

They had some pieces left at my Target and, to be perfectly honest, I didn't buy a single piece of clothing or an accessory because I thought everything looked like crap (poorly made and cheap looking/quality). I saw women with shopping carts heaped with the stuff.

I was just disappointed in the quality of what I saw. And, really $9.99 for a paper notebook?

While I wouldn't dress head-to-toe in the clothes (at any one time), there are some pieces I really like. LOVE the swimsuits and silk scarves. I'll have to swing by and see if the locusts left anything. I must be living under a rock to have missed this big Target news.

People don't really believe they are getting the same thing they would buy at Saks or Nordstrom, do they?

If someone told me that my response would be 'yeah right'. :lmao:

Same design does not equal same quality, so technically they would be right. However when their $50 shirt falls apart you can point at them and laugh and say "did you really think you were getting the same thing that is on the runway"

Like I said, I'm holding out for the Kardashian Kollection from Sears. Cause you know that's gonna be klassy with a capital K.

Thats right, when I think of klassy the Kardashian sisters are the first to pop in my mind too :rotfl:
I was actually thinking of getting the cheetah print jumpsuit for an upcoming party. Dh is dressing up as a pimp and I'm going as his employee :rotfl:

By the way people were scooping the stuff up, apparently they do.

The fabrics used for Target are cheaper in quality, not as vibrant or "rich" as Misoni fabrics, and are not part of the Misoni Fall 2011 collection (or any Misoni collection for that matter). These are pieces made with fabrics created for Target and Target only. The construction is poor as well. You would never find these pieces or fabrics at Saks, Nordstrom, etc. This is Misoni slapping it's name on some cheap crap that they and Target will profit from.

I had a zig-zag black and white shirt in my hand and thought "Really?" and put it right back down.

Sorry, but I'd rather not look like every other person in my city who will be sporting Missoni for Target crap.

I agree with the afghan comment. Actually, way back in the early 70's/late 60's, we had a sofa that was upholstered to look pretty close to some of that stuff. Shame my parents junked it. They could have sold it on ebay for thousands!!! :lmao:

My little area of the Chicago 'burbs must be uncultured....I was just at Target and you could hear crickets in that section. It certainly didn't look sold out over there. I'd never heard anything about this until I saw it in the store this morning. Good luck getting the things you all were looking for!

No material thing is worth such silliness..... IMO

Go back and snatch it up and put it on ebay, you could pay for trip to WDW!!!
