Miami Beach trolley from FLL?

Does anyone know if there is a trolley or something like that to get from Fort Lauderdale airport to Miami beach? My son is going with a friend and the airlines that we use do not fly right into Miami. He thought an Uber would be too much money. Also does anyone have any recommendations for him on a hotel, restaurants, or things to do? Thank you.​

We have a group of 6 flying in to FT. Lauderdale and then shuttling to Miami for a cruise. They have shuttle buses. Try googling it. Should be way cheaper than a cab.

What’s his budget what he’s willing to spend on transportation? I am researching the same right now because we are going to the port of Miami for a cruise and FLL airport. We are taking a shuttle shared service, and there are quite a few to choose from. So far I’ve priced $13 and $15 plus tip for a shared shuttle service. Private shuttles are also available for a bit more. I also have a coworker that used Uber to/from Miami to/from FLL. I don't know about the trolley.

We took a shuttle bus for about $14 from Ft lauderdale to the cruise port in Miami last month. Was very easy

He likes the idea of the shuttle bus you guys suggested. The price is right. He's planning on doing that.

Any ideas on a good place to stay. They are hoping to stay right on the beach for $150.00/night. Any ideas?

What style of hotel is he looking for, does he want certain amenities like pool, free internet, breakfast, or a particular location, or just the beach? I think he could get that price, depending on some of those factors to decide on. We once years ago stayed in one of the art deco type older hotels down there, there are a few. It was fine, had a little history. Can't remember the name though! But, it felt safe enough and was within walking distance to restaurants and shopping, etc. Hopefully someone has some more recent experience on here with a beach hotel in Miami.

You can take the rail system from FLL to Miami Airport. We took the rail from MIA to our hotel at Brickell when we cruised out of Miami. It was under $5.00 for two of us.
