Metro New Orleans DISers - check in!!! - Part II

Are you going on the Mousefest cruise?

I have NO idea! It is the 4 night and if it is it is coincidence:) .

Thanks for watching the video. The play was better last night-that ONE day and a bit different of a cast learning from the other cast :stir: may have been the difference.

I am VERY sorry you both are feeling rotten. I have been totally off the percocet since Wed night... I think:smokin: (I MAY have taken a half on Thursday afternoon), and am taking the occasional aleve. I feel SOOO much better and am looking forward ot my tummy not being so tender and swollen(like i may have mentioned, it was not that skinny before but...).

Sienna, Sienna- stop with the drama baby girl. Uhhh,Lorie, I think you will be posting drama camp pics before you know it!!;)

Lori

Lori, What a cute video!!! Thanks for posting it!

Lorie, The two's are tough. Some kids are just emotional, Alexis is a doozy! She still cries at the drop of a hat but will be happy the next second! :confused3

Kathy & Jan, Sorry both of you are feeling so sick!

kind of neat but kind of scary...got my first private pay client, incorporated my counseling/consulting business and got insurance for it. I am $100 in debt (so far), and scared as all get out cause I - well I know somewhat about businesses w/ J's two businesses but this is weirding me out....I think I am just anxious b/c dh is considering going to Iowa to work for undetermined amount of time. he lost both his businesses in Katrina...the only way we made it was because he signed on to work with FEMA for 16 months when we returned. so he has lots of experience and they will probably hire him in a heartbeat. and he knows just what those folks have been through...but I am scared about being here all alone with just me and dd.....well thanks for letting me rant!:(

Hey guys...where is everyone? I hope all of the sickies are feeling better.

No one came on the board today....

I'm here, started feeling better and cooked dinner. I also went to Target and picked up some work-out clothes, thanks!:thumbsup2

I am glad your feeling better...yes I love Target, however I always leave out with more than what I went in for. :rotfl:

Hey gang! I have my job interview with Michael's tomorrow! I am so excited and nervous. I just realized that I haven't been on a job interview in almost 3 years! Fortunatly it is somethingI have always rocked...lol.

So how is everyone?

This weekend as been annoying around here. My FIL is in town and he is so critical. The house is too crowded, it doesn't have enough space, Aiden fusses too much, Kurt jr is too hyper...on and on and on! He lives in AK and comes in every 8-12 weeks. Let's just say I cannot wait for Tuesday to roll around and it is time for him to go home. I do love him and all, but he is a major poop stirer.
Anyway, Aiden has been fussy a lot lately. I really need to take him to the doctor soon, because he scream and scream for no apparent reason. Wouldn't it be fun to get him and Sienna together for a playdate! They can have fussing matches!

Good Morning NOLA.

I hope all of you had a great weekend. Forgive me for not reading back before I posted this.

Colin had his championship game on Saturday (they lost 10-9). They had a great season and came in 2nd place overall. Not too bad.:thumbsup2 He is so proud of his trophy.

Kendall has cheer practice this morning at 8:00 so my day starts extra early today. Then a trip to Walmart is in order. It amazes me how fast the food runs out during the summer. These kids are eating me out of house and home. That and the fact that I always have a house full of friends over as well. I'm really not complaining because I love having everyone here so I can know what's going on.

Have a great day ya'll.

Tricia - Congrats to Colin and his team for finishing second and I'll bet he's displaying that trophy proudly!!:cool1:

Morning Y'all,

Kristina, Good luck with your new business venture! :wizard: And with your DH being gone for awhile!

Stephanie, I'm sure your interview will rock!!! :thumbsup2 Good Luck!:wizard:

Tricia, Congrats to Colin! :thumbsup2 and good luck with the grocery bill!

I'm really not doing so great. Saturday, it started raining & I hurried out to the mailbox to get the mail before it started pouring. Well, I slipped in the driveway. I fell landing on my butt & breaking the fall with my left arm, the one that is always hurting & numb. I've been hurting pretty bad since, lots of meds & ice. I'm a little better today.

Kathy, Glad you're feeling better!

Oh Sheryl, I'm so sorry, try and take it easy for a few more days.

This could be serious, now go dad nab it! ::cop:

DITTO...Please go to the Doctor.

 Sheryl, head to the doc now, listen to your momma's...I agree.

Went to the doc today for followup. Says I am doing great, no work for 2 more weeks b/c i do lots of physical labor(transporting of patients, rolling a 500# machine down carpeted hallways, helping move patients who cannot move themselves-wow , I really didn't realize how physical my job is), no bath for another week:faint: . This just put me over the edge. I bathe nightly and only take showers in hotels and on camping trips. It is my SANE:goodvibes time. I am not real happy about the work thing since he told me I could go back in a week or 2, but he thought I worked at a clinic where patients come to me and all i do is walk them to a dark room, tell them to lay down and sit to rub a transducer over their chest for 15 minutes.
Owell, my co workers are gonna be:mad: and I am sure will be concocting:stir: some poison up for me. I was scheduled the next 2 weekends-one of which is July 4th weekend.:duck: yeah, I am in trouble.:worried:

No exersize for 4 -6 weeks depending on how I feel.

My 20th reunion is Friday and Saturday. I am NOT going to the big Saturday thing as I really hated my high school years. Except for meeting my DH at 16. Oh and my FIRST ever trip to Disney. It was the school part I disliked, and some people there, not a nice place to be at the time in my life. I am hoping to go to the tour of Dominican on Friday to check out the old digs. And although I am no longer catholic, I will go to a mass for our class. Then lunch with a TRUE old friend. I am only going b/c she is!!!
The big thing is at F&M's. I think that part is a little strange. No offense if anyone on here went there or goes there and loves it. Plus it is $55 and I'd rather go on a date with DH.

If I sound bitter, I guess I am a bit. I never want to go back to those years-yuck.

Lori

Good morning NOLA!

Lori - Glad to hear your recover is going well, listen to your doctor and take it slowly.

Sheryl - Hopefully you're feeling better today.

Good morning ya'll:)

The "Camp Rock" slumber party was fun. The girls were so cute--they had a great time. They watched the movie on the tv upstairs, but you could hear them counting down the time until the movie started (5, 4, 3, 2, 1...:hyper: ) It was kinda loud around here Friday night:rotfl:

DH and I watched about 15 minutes of it, then watched "Michael Clayton" on pay per view or on demand.

Sheryl, I'm worried about you. Please let us know how your arm is today.

Lori, I read your post and understand how hard the high school years are sometimes. I was always so quiet with my nose stuck in a book, that sometimes I felt invisible. I did have some good friends though and some caring teachers, and that's what I think about mostly when I think of my high school years. I have to ask you--what is an "F&M"?

Tricia, congratulations to Colin.:woohoo:

Good Morning!

Sheryl- I hope your arm is ok.

Kristina- Good luck with everything going on.

Tricia- Congrats to Colin! :)

Mary- Glad you survived the sleepover!

Lori- I can so sympathize with your HS reunion post. My 15th year reunion is next month, and I have NO desire to go. Two friends of mine (really the only people I still talk to from HS) are on the reunion committee and are really pressuring me to go. It is $50 a person, so $50 just for me, $100 if I drag DH along too (he said there is no way he is going :rotfl: ). I can think of a ton of things to do with $50-100 and lots of Disney souvenirs I can buy with it.

I went to my 10 year reunion which was two nights, like yours is- 1st night to visit the school, 2nd night was the fancy event at a hotel. The first night was fun seeing my old school, locker, classrooms, etc. The second night was a bust and I couldn't wait to leave. The same people that ignored me in HS ignored me at the reunion too, no change there at all. In fact, one person said some nasty comment how I wasn't married yet (at the time), and another person came to tell me that person was talking about me, yada, yada. SO LAME and so immature, just like HS. The friend I went with had no intention of leaving any time soon, so I hitched a ride home with someone else leaving at the time. So, so miserable. :sad2: I guess I sound bitter too! :rotfl2:

Morning all...

You would think the high school drama would have ended with maturity....NOT. I am also going through he/said she/said drama, whispering & cliques at gymnastics with some of the moms. Boy am I over that! :rolleyes1

Sheryl.....What's up? :worried:

Kristina - enjoy your time off...can you take spunge baths?

Mary - DD did not watch camp rock until Sunday so I was able to enjoy friday and Saturday without much screaming.

Tricia - Way to go Colin! :yay:
