OT... Has anyone been out to the grocery today? Is it calming down yet. I have a few things I'd like to get, but no neccesities yet. Not up to fighting the crowds today.

thanks! you know I gotta get my $0.02 in there and balance out the discussion! tired of being trashed all the time especially by those who have no clue. would be nice to have the luxury of sitting around and whining about other cities. I would trade all my post Katrina junk/emotional baggage/etc. to not have to worry about it!

Sheryl, I've been to Rouse's yesterday and today. It seems back to normal--everything in stock, just like before the storm. Checkout was a short line.

Sheryl I went to Walmart today and it was just the normal mid week crowd. They had everything restocked just like before. Yesterday I was at our Rouses and the same there. I think all the trucks have been coming in without any problems now.

Re: the other thread--a lot of ya'll did a great job describing the frustrations and sorrows we have living here. But ya'll also described the love we have for New Orleans.

I couldn't post on the other thread. I'm sorry about that, but I keep thinking about the New Orleans thread I did post on from 2 years ago. It got VERY ugly, I was depressed after I read it and posted on it and was sorry I did afterwards.

Kristina, Yeah, I eventually get ticked & have to respond. But it just gets too depressing after a while.

Mary, Don't feel bad for not posting on there. It has gotten ugly & it is depressing! After seeing so many right on responses & idiots who still don't get it, I've got to get out of there too!

Yesterday, David woke up with fever, sore throat and stuffiness. So, he missed school yesterday. I brought him to the ENT. He is better today and back at school.

I hope he's doing better today!

Alexis & I are fighting the sinus/cold thing. Using that sinus rinse stuff on a 5 yr old is no fun first thing in the morning.

I hope you're both feeling better.

I didnt love Pop, so I hope I like this one better. We are heading out tonight prob about 3 ish. Be back on the 17th!
