Sheryl - I hate to hear the Dr. has found some nerve damage, but I'm glad you're getting some different news. I'm hoping this leads to a better diagnosis & improvement for you. I've also got your DD in my prayers. Goodness, she's too young to have to be dealing with this already.

No Camp Rock for us tonight, at least (although I'm sure we'll catch one of the gazillion replays!). We'll be baseballing it. DS#2 has an elimination game to determine if they're headed to the semifinals of the end-of-season tournament. It's at the same time the Tigers are scheduled to give it a 2nd go, so we'll be listening to the game with lots of the other parents!

I wanted to ask y'all for some prayers for my DD. She has been having very bad lower back pain for about a week now. She's seeing a chiropractor & it's not helping a bit. I guess it's in her genes, poor thing she's only 26, my back pain didn't start until I was 30. They have a vacation planned to FL beach planned for Monday, too.

Morning Y'all,

I know we usually avoid politics, that could cause heated debate. But I am emailing Governor Jindal to ask him to veto this outrageous legislators pay raise. It's Senate Bill 672, and it will DOUBLE their salaries AND automatically increase every year to adjust for inflation. I voted for him, but not vetoing this bill is just a cop-out. you can email him here: www.gov.louisiana.gov.

This was my e-mail:

Please veto Senate Bill 672 that will double the legislative pay. This is a completely unreasonable bill. The legislature is clearly not going to do the right thing. Please do the right thing and veto this bill. I voted for change, and this bill becoming law is not the change Louisiana needs.

Current hotties: I have to agree with Mrs. Depp , since she's already claimed him, I guess I'll have to inform Angelina that Brad will never marry her, cause he was already married to me! Ever since a River Runs Through It. Yes I know he's a younger man, but heck DD had his poster up in her room and he was just WAY too old for her!!! When she moved out, I told her to just leave the poster!

Good vibes sent for Sheryl's DD. Nobody wants to hurt on vacation.

Well, my cousin got married last weekend. It was beautiful. THey're in Disney for another couple days.

Rick and I were home on Sun and Mon and now back up north for the long haul. We're going to Indianapolis (where we lived for 10 years) to hang out and stay at the Crowne Plaza Union Station in a train car suite on 6/30 and 7/1. Then home for the rest of the week. Well, home and the Gulf coast. We're going to Biloxi for the 4th and 5th. We were home 4 days for June.

However in our travels I found the Figi.com (like Swiss Colony) outlet in WI down the street from where we are working there, so I stocked up on cheesy goodness and meat sticks.

And I got Rick to agree to the Podcast Cruise next May. He's never cruised and I've only done it once on Carnival probably 20 years ago. This will be our first Disney 4 night.

If you don't listen to the podcast (i know sheryl does) you might want to consider it. There's a great mix of personalities- and Corey and Julie (2 of the podcasters) are from our lovely area-now relocated. And if you don't have an ipod you can listen to it on the computer.

Oh, and Sheryl.....I'll have to brag just a teensy bit. I was lucky enough to see Brad when he was in Thibodaux filming Interview with a Vampire with Tom Cruise. Most of the older ladies there were gaga over Tom, but the younger girls already knew Brad from Thelma & Louise! You know, we'll have to question Lorie about her walkabouts when Brangelina & family comes back to town.

Lori!!BP- I am envious of all your travels , but on another note, am glad to be home . We are cruisin next year too, but in December. I listen to the podcast every so often. Putting things on my Zen proves to tough for me to do weekly. I know it can be easy though but I am so PC-illiterate!!!

Well guys I hit the 15 lb. gained mark since I quit smoking. I've been in a physical funk since dealing with both of my parents deaths and I've finally gotten motivated. Johnny & Kyle are giving me a year's membership at a gym!!!! I had never stepped foot into a gym until this morning and I was so impressed. My goal is to start right after my birthday and if I'm the way I used to be, once I put my mind to something it will be done. Now I need to go shop for some work-out clothes and shoes.

Well if your talking in todays world, I am all about Orlando-but I really liked his look as an elf in LOTR!! I loved POTC, esp him in #3. I think a newer hottie is the guy who played Prince Edward in Enchanted, who was also in "27 Dresses" that I watched, like 4 times on Tuesday, or Wednesday, or whenever!! Don't remember his name ....James Marsden... oh yeah, yes I do remember!!!!

I must say, the Monkees were right before my time, but I went to see them at the zoo back in the 80's after watching reruns of thier show- Davey was too cute.

Oh and as an acient guy, Sean Connery is still HOT

I want to go on a cruise next year Nov or Dec 2009 but don't want to go with just our family...wish we could get at least another family with kids to go too..We should be going to WDW in March or April of 2010 with 4th grade class science project...not that I am looking forward to THAT or anything!!

hang in there and good luck with the gym!! except I hate forced shopping.....(work out clothes, school clothes, school supplies, etc.) as opposed to just random shopping! and there is depression therapy shopping too and happy birthday seems to be in order too!
