Many, many posts back we talked about a sailaway meet...I've done 5 Disboard meets before and a meet after the lifeboat drill and just prior to the sailaway party on deck 10 facing the terminal seems to work well...it's pretty much where everyone wants to be, anyway, and that gives everyone time to get on board and get their bearings. Open to other suggestions, though. Our whole family will be decked out in Disboards lime green with Cozumel vicious fish shirts, so hard to miss.
My husband and I are Denise and John, we are second-time arounders (married just under three years) We met at a 4 day Disney Institute business seminar in 2000 and I'll just leave out a lot of incriminating details. He proposed to me during a Tapestry of Nations parade (our favorite...wayla, wayla wayla...) We started cruising on
DCL in 2003 and haven't slowed down since. We recently bought into DVC, which seemed the natural progression. I've been going to Disney World at least annually since it opened, and have been to
Disneyland several times. My DH has been to Euro Disney a lot (he's a Brit).
We usually alternate cruises with and without the kids, and they are coming along on this one since we left them home for our last January Magic Western cruise. Noelle is 14 and Jack is 11 and I don't expect to see much of them on the cruise as they both love to hang out in the Lab/Stack.
It's really a crime for everyone to spend all this time getting to know each other virtually and not make an attempt to rendezvous face to face, so why not let's set up a casual gather spot on deck 10 facing the terminal (where you want to be as the ship pulls out so you can see the DCL terminal cast members waving good bye with the Mickey gloves.) We usually gallop right up after the lifeboat drill to snag a table overlooking the dance floor as it gets really crowded really fast.
What do the rest of you think?
