I know I started the thread, but I am glad my DSIL has taken over for me. I used to be on the computer a lot, then my wireless router broke. Now I only get a few hours a day, and before April 15 it was my late filing clients that occupied my time.

Now that I have caught up on the 6 pages I had to read ...

My name is Cassey (Pronouced K-C). Mid-30's (act like mid-20's) . I have recently become a Domestic Engineer . From what I understand it is only on-the-job training and takes 18 years to complete. I was a Tax Analyst, and before that a Tax Accountant. I have a Bach of Acct, but hope to open a bakery when my DD starts school. (She is only 1 now, so I have time to plan all the details.) I am a Disney freak and have promised my DH he will not have to sleep with Mickey or Tink after the cruise (to be read "I have to put away my Mickey PJ's after the cruise for a while." [Good thing they are winter pj's])

My DH is Loren . He is a couple years older than me, but acts like he's a teenager. He works for Cingular Wireless (now the "new at&t") as some kind of manager for construction and real estate. (His title seems to change as often as the name of the company.) He likes Disney, but is more in the closet about it than I am.

My DSis is Amber . She is 16 and is planning on spending much of the time in The Loft. I don't plan on seeing her much, but she is required to check in often.

Our DD is Caylen . She just turned 1 in March. She is starting to recognize Cinderella (not that she has much choice - Cindy is my Fave!!!) She is quite the handful as she has been walking the last 3 months. DH is worried that we won't be able to keep her occupied enough while on board.

I am bringing Pillowcases for signatures, and photo album with pages so the characters can sign the pages and we can put the picture with the siggy. I can't wat to go . We leave Fri, May 4th. Spending the afternoon at Coronado in the pool, then not sure if we are going to MGM or AK on Saturday. When we return from cruise we are going directly to MK to meet some friends for the day.

As for Pirate night, I will have a hat and eyepatch. Not sure about the rest of my family. Not much for dressing up.

Still don't have docs, but if DisneyPhD got them today, we should have them tomorrow.

I think that catches me up on everything. I hope to keep up as we only have 10 days left!!!!!!!!

Hey, our travel docs finally arrived this morning.

The kids currently prefer autograph books over pillow cases as they like to get their pictures taken with a character matched up with their signature. I am not sure if any of us will be dressing up as pirates. We are definitely more the land-lubber type. Though, we can always make a quick stop at the PotC store in MK and pick something up if we change our minds.

We are scheduled to arrive on Friday, May 4th and we'll be staying at the Yacht Club until Sunday May 6th. After the cruise, we will then stay at the Polynesian until we leave on 5/13.

Can hardly believe its getting closer.....

Our docs have arrived tonight. My sister is so much more excited now. I am glad. She was trying not to get too geeked for the chance of jinxing the trip.


The only hold-up now is the passports. We applied in February and they "just received" the paperwork last week. It supposedly has been sitting at at "document bank" for the last 8 weeks. And now they are saying it will be another 10-12 weeks. I patiently told the lady at the passport office that they need to get their information correct as we were told we would have them this week and I was just verifying that. Hopefully she put the "RUSH" on the applications like she said she could. I will be calling later today to find out.

The major prob is we only have one certified copy of DD's Birth Cert and it is in TX right now. I may have to make a trip from Detroit to Springfield, IL, if the online order of the certificates gets botched. Oh, the misery of not finalizing the adoption in MI. (It probably still would not have been finalized yet causing even more headaches!! )

I ordered through State of IL which uses the Vital Check program. I just called and they are processing the order. I will receive an e-mail when they are shipped. I should have them between Mon & Wed next week. Talk about cutting it close!!!

My next call will be to the passport office late tonight to verify that they are "expedited". I have tried already several times this morning and they keep disconnecting me becuase they have too many calls.

I guess it wouldn't be such a problem, but I am asthmatic and if something happens while we are in Carribean, I can fly home (I have passport), but I don't want to have to worry about DH with DD & DSis alone. He stresses easily when I am not there to fall back on. I know my DBIL & DSIL will be there and could take over should DH have to come home with me (he has passport also). I guess I just like to make sure I am responsible for my family. I know DBIL & DSIL (DisneyPhD) wouldn't complain or hold it against me, but taking charge of 2 more kids would be a lot!!! I want them to enjoy their vacation also.

If anyone needs something to wear for pirates night..

I was just in the Disney Store this afternoon and they have SO many cute pirates shirts since the movie is coming out soon! They have tops that are perfect for the cruise (navy and white striped with a rhinestone pirate).. and cute tees that say "I love Jack".

They have tons for kids, too!!

Definately worth checking out.

I called the office Wednesday night. They have passed Phase 1 (which the lady said is the toughest). They had two more phases which take about a day each. Should be mailed Mon or Tues. I am going to call Mon night to see where they are.

I will be receiving Caylen's Birth Certificate today though. Got a call from UPS to remind me that someone needs to be home to sign for them. (We laready had extra copies of my sister's BC.)

If we take another cruise. DH says he would rather spend the $$ at the parks instead. He is not one to "relax" on a vacation. His idea is to have something to do all the time and not really rest. Now, there is plenty to do on the boat, but it's not "busy" enough for him.

I did receive the copies of the BC tonight. One copy is now in the "Cruise folder", along all the other important papers.

However, the passports will be handy since we love to snowboard and I fell in love with Whistler, British Columbia, last year . It was so beautiful and peaceful up there . It was like being on another continent since most of the employees at the resort were from Australia or England. (Weird, I know!)

Just found out today, also, that I will have to wear my "walking cast" most of the time on the cruise . I still told my physical therapist that I would not wear it on the beach, but I would wear it to the beach. And I won't wear it while walking around Nassau, but I will put it on as soon as we return to the boat. My Achilles (sp?) tendon is injured and it is swollen and hurts real bad right now . My DH says we are going to rent a wheelchair while at the parks so I can be well rested for the boat (since wheelchairs are not rentable on the boat-I called tonight).

I don't even have my suitcases out yet! You're right - that should keep me nice and busy.

I cleaned up my room and closet yesterday (and even the gunk under the bed) so this week I can start packing and leave the suit cases out in the room.

The girls have strict instructions not to touch anything packed, oh but they are so excited. This isn't going to be easy. DH has a super busy week all week too, he has to give and grade exams. His last one doesn't end until 5:00 on Thursday and he still has to grade and turn in grades before he can come home. He better pack on Wednesday. Come to think of it maybe Tuesday.

I think I am going to have to call my MIL to see if she can spend some time with the girls so I can get things done. They are so excited to see things getting pack they want to play with them. It makes the task impossible. They want to be involved too.

Hey everyone, 6 days left 'til we board!!!!! Are we all going to meet on Deck 10 across from the terminal for the Sail Away Party? Or has that changed and I missed it? B/C as crazy as I've been, that is possible!!
