Hi everyone! Thanks Sarah for posting the link to here! :goodvibes

Ok...so me and my entire family/extended family are DCL 1st-timers! We are a huge Disney family and are so excited to be cruising on the Wonder in March!

Ok...so for my immediate family...here is our info:

Stateroom: 8026
First Name: Kelly
DIS user ID: kellyf2626
Where you live: Londonderry, NH
Who you're traveling with:
Scott (DH) - 36
Brady - 6
Beckett - 4

Not celebrating a particular occasion!
More interested in magnet exchange...and I have absolutely no clue with this FE thing is you all are talking about lol! :confused3:rotfl:

My parents, in-laws, and brother's family are all coming as well! My parents are next door to us in 8028 and my brother is on the other side of us in 8024. My in-laws are right below us in 7026.

We are waitlisted right now for a 2-bedroom suite....anyone heard of a waitlist coming through?? We are keeping our fingers crossed!

Can't wait to hear more and chat! I've heard there are some dinner rotations that are better than others? Is that true? Also...I also read shorts (even for kids) is discouraged at dinner. I honestly had no intention of packing dress pants for my boys?? They are always dressed nice in polos and nice shorts....would that be ok for dinner or is that a huge no no?

Thanks for all the recommendations on what to do in Cozumel! We were looking for something fun for us and the kids....going to explore the Nachi Cocom website and also Paradise Beach! :thumbsup2 Any other good recommendations?

Kelly: Here's a great link explaining fish extenders. :beach:

As for dinner attire, we were just on the Dream in July. I am not a rule breaker, but wasn't about to put my son in pants for dinner. What I liken the dress code to was Sunday church attire in the summer. You'll see most kid boys and even some men in nice shorts and a golf type or tommy bahama-esque shirt. Lots of men wore khakis etc. Disney didn't blink an eye. Palo and Remy are a different topic! Pretty strict dress code there!

Thanks PrincessesRUs!

Kelly, the fish extender is kind of a secret Santa type thing. My kids got a kick out of seeing what people had left for us.

Thanks Amy and Anne! The FE looks pretty cool! I know my boys would get a kick out of this! :)

And what's up with the magnet thing? Is that just sharing magnets with people? Is there someplace where I can read more on that?

As I understand it (and someone else, please correct me if I am mistaken!!), it is very similar to the FE exchange. You have a list of people who want to exchange and you make/buy them a magnet. You can do each person in that cabin or one for the whole family. Then you place it on their door while you're out and about on the ship.

I really like the magnet idea as it sounds way less labor intensive and would take up way less space. I can think up good magnet ideas easier than FE gifts.

On our cruise in June, a lot of people made magnets for their fe gifts. Do we really need two different exchanges?

Another question: is there a character breakfast on our cruise? Also, is there an Alice tea party?

Yikes! I just checked and there will be 8 ships in Cozumel on April 1st...and that's no April Fool's joke!

Yikes is right! Where can you read how many ships are in port on a given day? I was in Cozumel in '11 and I think there were 4 ships docked that day. It was busy but not horrible.

Wow...8 ships at Cozumel on April 1st! That's crazy!!

Do any people just stay on the ship on port days? While Cozumel looks great...I feel like the ship must be empty on port days and may lend it itself to lots of relaxation and time without huge crowds everywhere!

People do it ALL the time. It's a great time to hit the spa, hit the pools, etc. with smaller crowds.

I will say - having done Cozumel before, it IS very nice. Very anti Bahamas - some nice shops where you aren't pestered by shop owners at every turn. It is worth getting off just to check out the port for a little bit. Having said that, I probably won't do an official excursion though - just a little visit into the port and then back on to enjoy the boat!

I'm glad we already have reservations for Nachi Cocum. I think even when it is completely sold out it won't be as crowded as some of the other beaches might be that day.

BTW, I just checked and Nachi Cocum does still have availability for April 1 if anyone is interested:

Thanks gortman65!

We were considering Nachi before I checked and will consider it more seriously now.

To find out how many ships would be in the port, I just "googled" it! ;)

After reading about the 8 ships I am glad we are at Nachi Cocum:goodvibes. I know a few people are already booked here. Anyone else?

Hi, everyone! We just shifted a different reservation to this cruise, so we'll be joining you. In addition to me, it will be DW, DS16 and DS12. We have cruised with Disney four times before, including Cozumel as part of the 7 night Western. We did the dolphin swim at Chankanaab, which we booked on our own rather than through Disney. Looking forward to it!
