I wanted to get this all out there before catching up on the thread.

First off, I think it's significant and not at all random that Jack is 23. Like I mentioned in another post that wasn't even dealing with this issue, the spelling of Jack's last name Shepard isn't inline with the biblical spelling of, Shepherd, but aside from that, the 23 Psalms deals with the Lord being my shepherd. It's like the Lord is taking care of us in much the same way Jack (as doctor) took care of everyone on the island.

I wonder if we could get such biblical references for each of the characters?

I'll be typing up another post dealing with the numbers in a bit (I'm not even sure it's all relevant to the finale of the show), but one thing I did note that I found extremely odd was, Flocke crossed Ford's name off the list as he was speaking to Sawyer. I think that too is very significant. Does that imply that everyone else had their shot at taking over at one point or another and that's how their names got crossed off? Could everyone on the island have been touched by Jacob at one point or another?

I'm starting to think all of the contacts are people who have been on the island at one time or another, but I am adding some names that aren't. I didn't DVR this one so I can't go back and check but... did anyone else catch that the first time the boy appeared in the woods (when MIB was with Richard) he seemed to have blood on his arms?

Yes, he had blood on him. I noticed it and pointed it out to my DH. Have no idea why though. Maybe because Flocke had blood on his hands with Jacobs death?

Oh, and if Flocke is Smokie, then why the heck didn't he just go all smoke monster on the kid and chase him down that way? Would have been a heck of a lot easier then trying to chase him. Mmm, he may have even caught him.

Flocke crossed Ford's name off the list as he was speaking to Sawyer.

I thought I saw him cross off LOCKE, not FORD.

Nobody likes Kate or Jack so stop making episodes all about them!

I've been busy (hate when life gets in the way of my obsession lol), but did get a chance to watch the ending again where Locke's name was crossed out. Sorry everyone, Ford was left intact.

I was also trying to find the area on the show that stated that the monster couldn't transform again, so he was stuck in the apparition of Locke? He surely didn't take over the actual body. I couldn't find it. I'd have swore it was Llana that said it, but now I'm double guessing that.

Now in the alternate time line...Locke is talking about the wedding. He said he wants to invite his Dad. Now in the original time line isnt the reason for Locke in the wheelchair is because his Dad pushed him through the window or wasnt that his real dad?

Yep, Locke's dad pushed him thru the window, you're correct. But since Juliet detonated the bomb back in 1977, that changed everything from 1977 to present. And I guess one of the things changed is that Locke and his dad have a relationship now. Looks like Locke ended up in a wheelchair for some other reason than being shoved out a window. I wonder if we'll find out???

I am DYING to see Claire's story now! I can't bear the thought of her going bad!!! Anyone think/hope maybe she and Charlie will meet and live happily ever after in the alternate timeline?

Kate kills me, but I still want to see her with Jack. Who also kills me half the time... I do not like her with Sawyer at all, don't really know why except maybe that I'm just a loyal person and she was Jack's first.

I am anxious to see what Sawyer does with Flocke- follow or run? He should know Richard well enough to turn tail and run after seeing him that bent out of shape!

How the heck are they going to close this out with only what, 13 episodes left? We need a 4 hour finale event.

I'm thinking the boy was a form of Jacob, who else could it be? Sawyer was the only blonde kid I could think of and that made no sense to me, but then I thought of Aaron... Knowing them it will be a new character all together.

Also remember last week when claire was having the scan..they lost the babys heartbeat..then found it..the doc(ethan)..said.."he just won't stop jumping around this one" or something like that...

I was under the impression that Flocke couldnt take over anyone elses body..not that he couldnt be the smoke monster anymore. He became the smoke monster to kill those ppl inside the foot, AFTER jacob died.. so what changed since then that he cant change again??

OOOOOO I totally noticed that but forgot about it! I don't think it was a coincidence either, but I don't think it means anything. I think it's just one of those "attention to detail" things that the show is so good about. Maybe just a fun little thing for the true fans to notice type things, ya know?
