Hey everyone today was a spa day for me nail and pedicure. My mom had the baby from 5 until 8 it was like heaven. I went with a color called cajun shrimp it is bright pink wonderful. After all of the rain today I needed something to get me ready for our trip. I went to 2 liquor stores today and NO X FUSION they are waiting to order it until it becomes more popular. I felt like saying it's a hit on the Dis it must be a hit everywhere :rotfl2: ,but I figure he would look at me like I am nuts (may be true;) )

Renee- go onto the rest. board and ask someone to post a picture of the cup they got there in the last month or so don't say why you might get flamed.

Erin and Cammie- I live in PJ's (black drawstring pants and tank top or T Shirt) all day long when I am home. I shower and change into another pair.
A bra is non existant as long as I am home. If it's really cold I throw on one of DH's sweatshirts. Ahhh the part I love about being a stay at home mom.

Thanks for the tips on DTD, and the Christmas Zoo :lmao: inside MK. I will keep that in mind. One question - this shipping thing you mentioned, do you have to pay your local tax if you ship? I don't remember if it was Cammie or Debbie but someone said (I think) that you get out of FL tax. Might really be worth it to me to ship it back. hmmmm....

Renee.....
You pay NO sales tax. I am not sure why but you don't. It is a bonus except that you have to pay shipping! Well worth it to me and like I said I do this at DTD and I am already getting an extra 10% off using my Disney Visa. The best perk of all is my DH doesn't see everything I bought!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jillian.... glad you had a nice spa day! Sounds delightful.
Erin...glad you are sticking around.

Cammie.....I am a weirdo and ALWAYS wear my bra (even when I sleep)! I hate feeling like I am bouncing all over the place. Now that is definitely TMI!
Side note...found a wonderful smooth & sexy yet cofy & very supportive bra at VS and then found them on Ebay for less then half the price (NWT). Love them!

Goodnight girls!

Hiya all - still chatty on here......

we are apparently going to get huge storms here tonight - but can't imagine it will be anything like you girls get over in the US...... lets hope not.

I am another who just cannot tolerate alcohol, so I don't drink unless it is a very special occasion... maybe once or twice a year!

As for the bra thing I'm with Debbie on this one - as an E/F cup I have got to keep them supported - or they'll end up round my ankles when I'm old and grey!!!:goodvibes

Kara - how's things going, hope things are ok with you...

Tessa

Ok, I'm getting the feeling I'm not as "blessed" below the neck as others on this thread! Guess that's what padded bras are for!;)

One more thought about shipping stuff home: WDW packs thing up so nicely! As I mentioned, I get quite a few xmas ornaments every year because my girls will give them to their teachers as gifts - never had one come damaged. Don't know if they would survive as well coming home with me on the plane! Like Debbie said, I think it's well worth the cost of shipping.

Do you guys ever ship a box of things to your resort instead of packing it in your suitcase? I do and it works great. I have alot of my DD's medical supplies that I ship ahead, but I also have a box with necessities like suntan lotion, rain ponchos, pin lanyards, granola bars, x-tra ziploc bags & anything else I can fit in there. It only costs around $20-$25 (UPS) and the box is waiting for me when I check in. Plus, you can "track" your box and have no worries about your stuff getting there. Works really well for us - just a thought for you all.

Kara - Hope you're surviving the weather! Sounds like we are all seeing bad weather of some time this weekend. Hang in there everybody - I can "see" SPRING - it's coming!:beach: :flower3:

I too hope Spring is coming .. we are due storms tonight although my dad said "am sure you won't need to do anything" so i don't see it causing to many probs  but believe me i am counting down my days till sunshine i think it's now 27 :yay:

Hope you're all having a great Sunday so far :thumbsup2

I take of a couple of nights and y'all post 2 pages!!! I feel so left out! :rotfl:

My two cents on DTD....
First let me say that I am a WDW souvenir addict. I have figured out that looking at the things I have bought from there gets me through to the next trip. Personal favorite are my WDW Christmas village, our WDW clothing items and picture frames to name a couple.
We never used to do DTD but then realized that they have the most variety in items. If it's for sale in WDW, DTD most likely has it. Keeping all that in mind plus the fact we found out (or should I say we realized) that we could get an extra 10% off in World of Disney @DTD if you use or show your Disney Visa we now go there in the beginning for the main souvenir shopping. AND I would be too embarrassed to even tell you what I spend on souvenirs for us! Lastly, I ship the stuff straight home from there. The 10% off usually covers the shipping and if you ship home they DO NOT charge sales tax.

You all have a Disney rewards card right?????? It's a must have for the Disney vacationer! If not let me refer you and we will both get 25.00 bucks in Disney Rewards!

Just got my Disney rewards card yesterday - I'm the proud owner of $2.80 in Disney reward dollars! I think that might get me a bag of popcorn? When we moved, we put EVERYTHING on AMEX for about 2 months (remember, we still hadn't sold our house?) so I got the invite with 12 months no interest on balance transfers - I'm in!!! Quick question - I see that we get 10% off at WOD in DTD but what about just the Disney Store? Anywhere else we get the discount?

I'm confused too!

Mine says it has vodka in it also but when you go to the website, alot of their drink recipes say to ADD vodka. We made the x-rated flirtinis last weekend: vodka, fusion liqueur, triple sec and cranberry juice. Good lord - I've been adding vodka the whole time!:faint:

I made the "X-Rated Vacation" and it was AWESOME!!!! I think X-Fusion liquor, vodka, and pineapple juice? I think something else but can't remember what it was.... Also, there is X-Fusion liquor (I think this is what Debbie has), and X-Rated vodka (which is just vodka).

Hiya all -

Have been trying some US foods for the kids, get them used to some different things - I know we can just eat like normal, (pasta, chicken, tomato seems to be a staple of the Western world...) but would be nice for them to try other stuff....

Reeses Pieces YES YES YES - my Harry met Sally moment!
Kelloggs Fruit Loops - OMG Nooooooooooo - we have toilet cleaner that smells like that - yeeuuukk......
Buttermilk pancakes mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Maple syrup (ok it was Canadian..) mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

DH and I were laughing so hard at this! Glad to know the US is well known for it's fine cuisine - Reese's Pieces and Fruit Loops! :rotfl2:

I'm so excited about our pirate: princess: party .. My DD has got the most beautiful Alice dress i can't wait to see her in it .. we are going on the 16th and she has BBB that arvo!! We have a humungous villa as there are 16 of us staying in it!!! Am sure yours will be great :thumbsup2

Make sure you post pics of DD in her dress!!! And bless you with 16 people in a villa! I'm sure I would be :scared: after an hour! We're already having "issues" with DSIL (just like I imagined!!!!).

3. I do want to get a nice Christmas ornament as well as a cute Snow White outfit for DD. Any suggestions of where in the World to get these? I think I remember Debbie (?) talking about DTD Christmas shop selection being better. I hadn't planned on going there, but if I need to I will.

Also, DHS has a Christmas shop (near Pizza Planet I think!) and it's kinda hidden so not very busy. Also, try www.disneyshopping.com for SW dress. We had very good luck finding DD's Belle gown there, and it was $35 compared to around $60-90 at DTD.

yeah, the scrapbooker in me is trying to justify a run to DTD at some point. I keep telling myself I can work on it when I go to CKU!

Hummm... maybe I will go to DTD. :thumbsup2

I got it! How about you make a "quick" run out there after you leave CP the first evening? Should be early and you could head out there and still be back to your room by 8ish.

Yeah....maybe I will try again the XRated Fusion tonight. We will see. I want to put something else in it like orange juice or pineapple juice or something but I can't put my finger on what I am craving with it.

I found a new drink!!! Very mild, too, for all you tea totalers! It's a "pomatini" - Pomagranate martini mix and vodka! Mix 1 to 1 - yum!!! I had to go buy martini glasses today because DH got me the fixin's on Friday!

Other disers would probably say no but not this one! If it's the exact same glass I say pack it and bring it on in (if I am understanding you correctly). I am sorry to say I am NOT familiar with Goofy's candy company:confused: !

I agree! Not to "cheat" the system, but we just bought the mugs at POR and they were the generic "year of a million dreams" mugs so we're taking them back in May to POP. Plus, we're packing our POP mugs from 2006 just in case.

Yeah, but sadly, I don't!

I feel your pain!!!!!:sad1:

I don't remember if it was Cammie or Debbie but someone said (I think) that you get out of FL tax. Might really be worth it to me to ship it back. hmmmm....

I told DH about this and thought it was a great deal until her reminded me that we live in FL so we pay tax regardless! Duh!!!! :confused3

Just spent the day at the St Augustine Outlets - got GREAT deals at the Izod gold shop for DH and me. And we "accidentally" found a Disney outlet! :cheer2: We got "year of a million dreams" picture frames for $2.99 each! Probably sell for around $10-12 at the parks! We bought one for the in-laws and SIL, too. But she's already complaining about the plans DH and I have come up with. AND, we booked Garden Grill for lunch the day we arrive as a "surprise" for everyone, it will be the only character meal that we all do together, and what a way to start the trip, right? DSIL is saying that she doesn't want her DS to see Mickey until Chef Mickey's on Day 4!!! What's up with that??? We're gonna pretend we didn't hear her, and continue with our plans. Besides, what's she gonna do when we see Mickey at MK or Epcot or AK the first 3 days???

Another DSIL complaint - I think I told y'all that she didn't want to split the cost of HDDR with us for the grandparents, but she finally agreed. We bought the tickets and she still owes us over $200. It's been 4 months now. She keeps emailing me and asking the amount. Like 3 times. We just found out that they have virtually refurnished their entire NEW house!!!! I'm losing it! DH thinks its funny to egg me on about it. He is in agreement about his sis, but he just doesn't let it get to him like I do! :headache:

Anyway, heading out to dinner with the neighbors - y'all have a great night!

Hello to everyone I didn't quote just now! Come back......

Make sure you post pics of DD in her dress!!! And bless you with 16 people in a villa! I'm sure I would be :scared: after an hour! We're already having "issues" with DSIL (just like I imagined!!!!).

Ok i know we haven't been to the party yet but i already have photo's of DD in her dress hahahaha i will post 1 if that's ok??
I feel for you having issues with family .. am hoping we don't have any major issues, if we do am sure it will be my cousins Ds16

Hiya all - still chatty on here......

Tessa

Again, TMI... but I plan on getting a reduction in a couple years. Right now, I'm so sick of an H cup I could scream! Cammie - I think you have a lovely size. The idea of a padded bra when you want it, that you can take off and walk around the house sounds heavenly!

Went to the Disney store today to find DD some Snow White things for her cake. Of course they were sold out. Mainly because all those little 12.50 play sets were on sale for $5. I thought I would mention it in case anyone is interested.

Anyone preordered Photopass? I'm wondering how far in advance I need to get that done.

Kara - thanks for the DTD suggestion, and everyone for the shipping idea! I think I may do that. The shipping will be worth it when you don't have to pay tax OR LUG IT!

Hi Girls...
Today is going to have to be the last day of me spending so much time on the dis! I have been doing some other things with the kids and laundry and such but I am feeling a bit out of control......like I have said before it's just too easy of an escape when things need to get done.
Hi Tessa! Do you guys remember when we had the foot discussion on this thread? It was kind of like this bra one but we all realized that we all had big feet! Is this still the case here? I wear a size 10.
Cammie....we have shipped ahead. I will do anything to try and lighten the packing load! I don't even know what we will do now that we have to pay for extra luggage!!! That really irritates me!
Kara...I want to kick your DSIL off the trip already! See you are a better person then me. I would never go on a vacation with anyone who would be irritating me the whole time! It just defeats the purpose of being on vacation!
RE:XFusion...pineapple juice does sound like it would be VERY yummy in it especially if I blended it with ice! Plus your new drink sounds good. PLUS anytime we make a drink that is nutritious also can't that ward off the poisons of the alcohol toxins!:rotfl2:
RE: Disney Visa...... There are no other discounts to use it on that I am aware of. I think that the DisneyStore should give you a discount like Gymboree Visa does but they don't. I do appreciate my Disney Rewards newsletter. At least there are some random coupons or deals being offered there.
Renee....I had a breast reduction done in December of 1996. PM me if you want. I would do it again in a heartbeat but it is very involved!
Erin...please post ANY pix. We love pix here! Also, a couple of us have bought the photopass CD before hand. It is well worth it but you must stop by every photopass guy you see! You will be so glad you did when you return!!! I think you can get it all the way up until your trip.

Tammie...where's our update on you and the whole family!
Pam2....YOU BETER COME BACK!

Sewer that goes for you too!!!!

Pam & Lisa...I know you feel like you can't just jump right in but JUST DO IT! No one cares who can keep up or not. It's not a contest or anything. Just say "HI" so we know you are out there!!!!

Your SIL - :crazy2: You for putting up with her -

Absolutely, positively post some pictures. We love to see!

I used to be soooo embarassed to be "lacking" when I was a teenager; now, I don't mind so much. It's nice to go "au natural" every once in awhile (just in the house, of course!) And, I believe you can pre-order photopass up until the day you leave. They'll email you a code that you will have to use when you get back from your trip and order your cd. You still have time.

Hi Girls...
Tessa! Do you guys remember when we had the foot discussion on this thread? It was kind of like this bra one but we all realized that we all had big feet! Is this still the case here? I wear a size 10.

I'm a size 8 - sounds like you've got me beat there too! Now, if you want to start comparing hip sizes, I bet I'll come out close to the top!:sad2:

I'm sorry Cammie we are going to have to ask you to excuse yourself from the thread....your breasts and feet are not big enough for you to stay........ please put out your torch........
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
BTW I HATE my big feet I dream of a size 8!

Well, what size are your hips? I'd gladly take bigger feet for smaller hips! (What is it that they say about "big" feet? Oh wait - that just applies to guys!:rotfl: )

Only a B cup here and as for feet size 7 I guess I am really out.

Well I work all week this week. MY DM took off for vacation and wants to have DS with her all week. I guess it's good but I really don't want to work. I feel like I miss out on so much when I am gone.

By the way I hate daylight savings it throws off the whole schedule.

By the way I hate daylight savings change too it throws off the whole schedule.

You are definitely out!

Sorry you have to work.

I also will be dying tomorrow cause of daylight savings. My DD is NOT going to want to go to bed tonight and is going to be a bear tomorrow AM!!!!!!!!!

Ahhhhaaa - US sizes are different to UK ones!!!! I am a 6 over here - a 7 over there!

Dress sizes are different too - over here I am an 18 - over there I am a 16.... much nicer thought! So I can come over and buy lots of size 16 clothes...

I am losing some weight for the trip too -and for ME of course.... am now at 201 pounds - do you think I can lose that sticky little one whole pound - it is clinging on there!!!! So I might give you a challenge on those hips Cammie, (whisper it 44inches) Bet you are half that Debbie!! By the way - we have a saying in parts of the UK - big feet - big "up top" !:goodvibes

Anyhow, I also will be shopping for Xmas decorations over there - last time we went we bought a few at MGM park - is there still a Christmas shop there? It was quite small, but absolutely gorgeous!

Must remember not to do the big snow globe this time -I guess they have more than 100mls of liquid in? and I wouldn't fancy packing it for checked baggage..... :scared:

Cheers,
Tessa

Anyhow, I also will be shopping for Xmas decorations over there - last time we went we bought a few at MGM park - is there still a Christmas shop there? It was quite small, but absolutely gorgeous!

Yes! I love that little Christmas shop because it's off the beaten path and not very busy!

Only a B cup here and as for feet size 7 I guess I am really out.

Also a "B" and only a size 6 in shoes! Funny thing is that I used to be a 5 1/2 until I got pregnant! I gained weight in my feet, including the length of my feet and was actually up to a 6 1/2 until a few months ago. Isn't that crazy??? Our bodies go through the weirdest things when we're preggo!

Well, what size are your hips? I'd gladly take bigger feet for smaller hips! (What is it that they say about "big" feet? Oh wait - that just applies to guys!:rotfl: )

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: You and your hips, me and my midsection. I'm very blocky in the middled - I don't have a waist!!! And when I lost 20 lbs over the past year, I lost my butt! I mean it's gross - totally flat! DH thinks it's funny to point it out to me!!!

Hello to everyone else!!!! SIL update - she called last night and I talked to her for about 10 minutes or so, then DH gets on the phone and she asks him why he's upset about the trip? :confused3 Apparently MIL is the one causing the problems now! She loves drama, and she's the one who told SIL that we had "strict" plans to follow and we'd be upset...... What???? So DH told SIL about the plans for the family character meal at GG and she's fine with it. MIL told her that we had to fit in a water park now because they got that water parks and more option added FOR FREE and also the park hopper FOR FREE (we already had this, so I called MIL and told her to check into it - saved her almost $400!!!!). DH explained to SIL that nobody HAS to do anything. But we've made an itinerary that would work well, and that's what we are going to do, but if others want to do their own thing, no problem! I was so proud of him for saying that! But honestly, MIL is such a drama queen (very Italian!) and I think she actually thrives on disaster. To us, a disaster is just that - to her a disaster is the grocery store running out of bread! She can turn anything into a major event. I love her dearly, but I told DH that she needs to be medicated - seriously!!!!

Well, have a great Monday everyone! Did we lose some folks here??? Sure, I join the thread and everyone leaves!!!! :rotfl:

Erin - Where's the photo??? We love pics on here!

Oh, I also just got this dress for DD for her bday - on disneyshopping.com (they so have my number!!!! Everytime they send me a stupid email with free shipping or something, I order!!!). It's a Sleeping Beauty toile sundress - beautiful! And I got the sparkly silver ballet flats, too. Thought it might be more comfy than her Belle gown, and it's pink, too! I thought it would make a nice Easter dress, too! And they had their kids mickey crocs for $24 so I got those in a size larger!!! I think I have a problem! :lmao: Did I mention the Capt Jack shirt I got for myself??? It was only $7 - what a deal??? Again, my name is Kara, and I'm a shopaholic!

E2303G0004-E6M.jpg

Kara - That dress is so pretty! Oh I miss the days of dressing my DDs in matching cute Disney dresses! Now, they'll only wear shirts from Disney -- and only when we're AT Disney! I just picked up a really cute sundress from the Gap with a shrug for my younger DD. She liked it and said - "Oh that's a cute dress for Disneyworld - but I wouldn't wear it around here!" :headache: Dresses on 12 yr. olds are not cool, I guess.

Oh Cammie that makes me so sad! :sad2: DD is already getting that way and she's not yet 7!!! How I long for those days when all she would wear was pretty little dresses!!!
