Lacey & Keith's 10/24/11 Wishes Wedding! ***honeymoon, day 4...updated 6/18***

Ooohh your day looked like tons of fun! And WOO! for presents. I love presents. :lmao:

OMG the day was absolutely amazing!!! So much fun! I love presents too, but it's a little overwhelming when all those presents were for me! haha :rotfl:

Ok you're really making me want a Jack & Jill shower... it looks like so much fun!

Honestly, I am so glad we did the J&J, because everyone had such a good time. There was music, and dancing, and beer (:yay:) so it was more like a party and less like a shower. DF had a wonderful time so that made it worth it for me.

Lacey sweetie - Glad you had so much fun at the beach!! Those towels are just too cute!!
The shower looks great. Showers are not something we seem to do over here in the UK. I wish we did, all the showers posted on here look wonderful!!

Thank you so much, Joanne. I am really so lucky to have such wonderful people in my wedding party who make these celebrations so amazing! :lovestruc

Lacey~
I just read through your PJ (can't believe I didn't do it sooner) and everything is wonderful! I really like all your DIY projects. They turned out great.

I Love the idea of a Jack n Jill shower but I know my DF would have no part of it. I just convinced him to wear the his/her Disney shirts my mom had made for us.

Keep the updates coming :)

Lisa

Thanks for reading along, Lisa! I can't wait for your wedding (because I will be on the ship, haha)!! :woohoo:

Despite the fact that I haven't been updating my own PJ very often, I have been reading all of the other wonderful PJ's out there...so keep the updates coming, ladies and gents! :yay:

I have been super busy lately because of my new-ish part-time job. I have taken a position as a Weight Watchers leader and I have to say...I LOVE IT!!!! I am a lifetime member of WW and lost 42 pounds in 2009. This is a great way to keep me on the straight and narrow before the wedding! ;)

In related news, I had my first dress fitting this past weekend. Why is it related news, you ask? Because I freakin' love the way that my dress looks on me! I have never felt so beautiful in any other piece of clothing!!!! :lovestruc AND the dress needs to be taken in a little bit. So despite the fact that I have to pay extra $$$, I am thrilled because I won't look like a sausage on my wedding day (my biggest fear!!!). I, of course, did not have anyone take a picture with my camera, so I don't have one for your viewing pleasure. :guilty:

DF has FINALLY ordered his groomsman gifts. I guess all of my nagging was getting to him, because he took the plunge. He decided to get the guys personalized steak branding irons, which I thought was a pretty neat idea. I also made these for him to give to the guys...

There is one for each of the guys and one for the best man that says, "best man survival kit". You should have seen me when I went into the packie (the liquor store for those of you who don't live in/near MA) and asked for 12 nips! :lmao: :rotfl:

As a thank you our wedding party, DF and I hand delivered homemade gift baskets to the people that don't live out of state (the out-of-staters received flowers :flower3:). The girls got a bottle of wine, a framed picture of us all together at the shower, and lots of chocolates and other goodies. The boys got big bottles of specialty beer, spicy peanuts, and chocolate bars with bacon in them!!!

Since we are having our honeymoon on DCL, I purchased the cutest Fish Extender on ETSY...it arrived yesterday!!!!

I have also been busy planning the at-home reception which will take place on November 12th. In case you don't remember, this reception will be held at a local wine bar/restaurant, and we will be having a cocktail reception. The place is AMAZING and will be serving our appetizers for the entire 3 hour time period. Just to make you drool a little bit, let me tell you about what we are serving for food...

1. Cheese board with 3 different types of specialty cheeses, meats, breads, and accompaniments (FYI this place uses the most amazing organic honey on their cheese platters...to DIE for).
2. Mini paninis made with specialty meats and cheeses
3. Spinach, garlic, and feta dip with homemade pita chips
4. Scallops wrapped in bacon--these will be passed around by servers
5. Chicken wings (1/2 honey mustard, 1/2 spicy chipotle bbq)--passed

We are also having cute little petit fours made instead of having a cake/cupcakes. These will be in the colors of the wedding (black, white, and hot pink). My dad bought me this stand for the desserts...and I assembled it all by myself!!! I know that the middle parts aren't all lined up evenly, but that's because the flat parts just sit on top of them. I will make it look pretty for the party. I promise.

I also made a new cardbox for the reception.

Lacey I have just two words to say to you sweetie - Loving everything!!!

Congratulations on losing 42lbs with WW and keeping it off! That is such a fabulous accomplishment. I also lost 40ish lbs with WW in 2009... but I've gained a lot of them back. :( I'm going to recommit after graduate school though; I will!

Anyway, I really like everything here! The cake stand is pretttttttty and the at home reception sounds like tons of fun! And the gift baskets were such a sweet touch. :)

You are SO close and must be so excited!!!:cool1::cool1:

Jackie, I really believe that keeping off the weight is harder than losing it. That's why I decided to work for WW...I have to weigh in once a month (and be at goal) in order to keep working. I can totally relate to the stressors of graduate school! Just keep telling yourself that it will all be over sooner thank you think, haha. :cheer2:

Thanks for the kind words, my dear! And yep, I am SOOOOOOO excited I can hardly stand it! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Oh my gosh, Emma, I know! I woke up this morning and the first thing I said was, "I'm getting married next month!" I have been super happy all day! Thanks for reading along! :goodvibes

I love the "Groomsmen Survival Kits"!! Dustin is giving all his guys a bottle of their favorite in his gift boxes to each of his guys too!

hehe I loved it each first of the month to say "it's x months until the wedding now!" :cutie:

Btw also meant to say that we used the Disney Honeymoon Registry for our wedding gifts and it worked really well for us... except every time I got an email saying "you've received a gift!" I had to log in immediately to see what it was! :bride:
I don't think the Cast Members at WDW see the DHMR cards very often, and a lot of them would comment on it when we paid for meals/shopping with it :cloud9:

Hope you have a great weekend!

I just found and finished reading through your PJ! Oh my goodness! You're wedding sounds like it is going to be a blast!

I love the EPCOT passports! What a great idea!!!

I love all of your projects! You're creativity amazes me!

Thanks Emma! Only a handful of people seemed to have difficulty with the honeymoon registry. Let me tell you, I am just dying to use that card!!! It's so pretty! :goodvibes

Just a little quickie update this evening...

DF and I went to our local town hall this afternoon in order to get our marriage license application notarized. :) Florida makes it pretty easy to apply for a mail-away license. Now all I have to do is send in the application with my check for $93.50 and they will send us the marriage license. Woo hoo!! :woohoo:

In other news, I also just sent DFTW our final payment!!! :yay: This is going to be (by far) the most expensive day of my life...and I CAN NOT WAIT! :dance3:

Hope you all have a wonderful (and hopefully long) Labor Day weekend! :thumbsup2

Lacey, your plans sound great!!! I am just like you (I prefer "I love to plan" to "control freak"... but it's mostly control freak :lmao:) and love to know where I'm going to be when.

And it's NEXT MONTH!!! Man, I feel like I am going to be the last one of this season's disbrides to be married--- but I am so excited for everyone's weddings. :D

Hahaha, "I love to plan" does sound better. I am nervous about what happens after the wedding because I won't be obsessed with planning the wedding anymore! What the heck am I going to do with myself??? :confused3

I know I've told you this before, but you are getting married on my birthday, so I am very much looking forward to your day, haha. AND all of your anniversaries will me imporant to me as well...:rotfl:

Lacey,

Sorry, I don't think I have posted before, which is totally my bad! Everything looks awesome! Love the plan. Looks like a fabulous wedding trip.

 from another MA bride. :)
