OMG, for the price I paid for those darn ears, Keith is going to wear them even if the don't fit! I will use duct tape if necessary!!!!!!!! ;)

Just wanted to write a little update because we had our planning session with our officiant last night. Rev. Kevin Knox will be the person who marries us, and I am feeling very good about our choice! :goodvibes We scheduled our phone session for 7pm last night and he called EXACTLY at 7. Before we got down to business, he asked us to tell him a "love story". He wanted to know how we met and fell in love. :lovestruc Rev. Kevin spent about 45 minutes on the phone with me, getting all of the details and making sure we are comfortable with everything. We have decided to have a civil ceremony, and he was nice enough to ask us if we preferred him to wear robes or a suit. Honestly, this phone conversation made me really happy. Now I am not so worried about being married by someone who neither of us has ever met.

Hope you all had a fabulous holiday weekend!!! Today was my first day back to work in 4 days, and I am already counting down the days until my next little vacation! :rolleyes1

Aww that sounds like the ceremony will be great! He sounds like he is going to personalize it and make it very cute!! We ended up going with a traditional/religious ceremony and I hope whoever our officiant is will do the same somehow...

Lacey,

I'm so glad you love everything and can't wait to see pictures of everything in action on your big day!!! :goodvibes

I know, I know, I have been a bad bride again by not updating in a while. Despite my, shall we say "laziness" (:rolleyes1 ), I have been following along with everyone else's plans! :goodvibes

Let me just say that I have been trying to resize my photos for the last 45 minutes and there must be something wrong with photobucket...SORRY FOR THE GIGANTIC PICTURES!!!! But now I am frustrated so I figured I would just post them!!!

A while back I decided to order a destination wedding dress box to carry my dress down to the World. I made it a little prettier by adding some labels and a pink ribbon....Now, supposedly Delta won't give me any problems with putting this in the overhead compartment, but I am a little scared! :scared:

This is the front

I finally ordered gifts for my Matron of Honor and my Maid of Honor! I found these gorgeous pearl bracelets from Blue Nile (if you haven't purchased jewelry from blue nile, I HIGHLY recommend them!). The one on the left is more green while the one on the right is more pink. And it's perfect because one girl loves green and the other loves pink. Go figure! ;)

Sorry the picture is a bit blurry...

While perusing one of the other wedding websites that I frequent, I saw one of these bar signs that someone had made. Since we are offering complimentary beer, wine, and strawberry bellinis (our signature drink), I thought these would be perfect to put on the bar. I played around with different fonts in Word and this is what I came up with...

A while back I went shopping in NYC with one of my girlfriends. We spent FOUR HOURS in Macy's and I purchased my rehearsal dinner dress AND my jack and jill dress. I can't believe I haven't posted pictures sooner!?!?! :confused3

This is my rehearsal dinner dress...

And my shower/jack and jill dress...it's a halter dress so it's hanging kinda funny, but you get the idea...

I picked up my veil from the bridal salon and have been wearing it around the house every single time DF isn't here...:lmao: Please excuse the fact that I look like a dope in this picture...but I think that the veil goes nicely with my tank top, don't you agree? :rotfl:

In other news, most of the groomsmen and both of the dads went to get fitted for their tuxes a couple of weeks ago. It was sooooo funny to see my daddy all dressed up! I have come to the realization that I am going to be a blubbering idiot throughout my wedding. I got a bit teary at the tux fitting, for crying out loud!

This upcoming Saturday will be my bachelorette party at the beach. I will be sure to post pictures! The forecast says it's going to be HOT and sunny! :cool1:

I received an email from DFTW today to let me know they received my check for the minimum expenditure...let me tell you, my hand was SHAKING when I wrote that check a few days ago! But I am so excited because our wedding is only 98 days away...that's right, you read that correctly...

98 days away! :cool1: :yay: :woohoo: :cheer2:

Everything looks great! I especially love those bracelets, how beautiful. Congrats on being in double digits! It's so exciting, I think the days really start to fly by from here!

First--- congratulations on being 98 days away!!!! :cool1: (And yes, the veil and the tank top together are tres chic!)

Also, I REALLY like your jack and jill dress! I like your RD dress too, so no worries there. :D I love dresses.

Glad everything is shaping up!

Thanks, ladies! I really can't believe how quickly time has gone by!

This past Saturday was my bachelorette party. As I mentioned earlier, I really wanted to enjoy a beach day with some of my girlfriends. We had SUCH a good day, despite the HOT HOT HOT weather we were experiencing on the east coast! :cool1:

My wonderful Matron of Honor had beach towels made for the occasion! :goodvibes I just love her! I never took the ribbons off of mine (it was too pretty), so my plan is to bring it on the cruise!

People kept coming up to me asking me, "are you getting married?" I wanted to say, "no, I'm just wearing a veil for the heck of it!" But I played along and was a nice bride-to-be!

A fellow Disney fanatic ;) was sitting next to us on the patio. She and her husband will be in the World when we get married. I should have asked her if she was on the boards, but I just didn't think of it...:confused3

These pictures were taken at the little bar/restaurant on the beach where we enjoyed some adult beverages. I had a mighty delicious frozen lemonade something-or-other (or two!)!

This past Saturday was our Jack & Jill shower. I have to say, it was probably one of the best days in my entire life! 80+ of our closest friends and family came out to celebrate with us, and we had an amazing time. The party was held at a brewery/orchard in the town I grew up in. The weather was PERFECT!!!! :cool1:

Here is a nice picture of me and DF...

We had a DJ playing great 80's music! This is after a few of the delicious beers! :rolleyes1

Also I wanted to mention that we used the Disney Honeymoon Registry for our shower. I would say about 40% of the people gave us a gift using that registry (the rest gave us $$). Two people told my MOH that they had trouble with the website. However, on the little insert my MOH included in the invitation, she said something along the lines of "please be patient, sometimes the website is finicky...". All in all it worked pretty well.

Ok you're really making me want a Jack & Jill shower... it looks like so much fun!

Lacey sweetie - Glad you had so much fun at the beach!! Those towels are just too cute!!
The shower looks great. Showers are not something we seem to do over here in the UK. I wish we did, all the showers posted on here look wonderful!!

Lacey~
I just read through your PJ (can't believe I didn't do it sooner) and everything is wonderful! I really like all your DIY projects. They turned out great.

I Love the idea of a Jack n Jill shower but I know my DF would have no part of it. I just convinced him to wear the his/her Disney shirts my mom had made for us.

Keep the updates coming :)

Lisa
