Water in pool. Pool decks empty except for containers, barrels, temp bridges, equipment etc around.

Walls, huge tarps and scaffolding aplenty on back of building. Not pleasant to look at.

Hi all,

Planning a September trip CL. (Yay! Food and Wine) I have heard the CL lounge has been updated. Any recent pics? Any recent CL menus or pics? I have a member of our crew with multiple food allergies. We have stayed CL before; the last time was WL 6 years ago. They were wonderful with her allergies at that time. Any recent experiences with food allergies and CL? Hoping there will be something for her each day of our stay. Yes I will be contacting CL staff ahead of time to research this.

Enjoyed the Wilderness Lodge CL photos. Look forward to hearing about your stay at the Yacht Club. Are you doing the Regatta Club Level? If so, how do the food options compare?

Yes, we are CL @ YC too. We’ve always enjoyed YC a lot. But after trips to CR Tower Club, GF RPC & now WL CL within the last year, YC a needs to really step up their game. I peeked into the lounge as we were leaving for a dinner ADR. They had brick chicken w/ a roasted potato & corn dogs as the hot apps. And the same Thai chicken salad they’ve had for years.

It's messy, but it looks like maybe everything is coming together for an opening soon!

It's only June 9 and it looks like they are very much on schedule to open end of June.

Now the scaffolding at the Beach club is a concern but not a deal breaker we decided for our mid July trip

I didn’t see them but with enough equipment on deck, wood, pipes etc plus the “vehicles” I wouldn’t expect all that until final setup.

We have a Resort View room for 7/17 - 7/20 booked. With the ongoing construction, combined with the realization that my room type limits where we can be placed, does anyone have any suggestions/requests that I can make to best avoid construction?

I ask this knowing full well that it's not a guarantee, but figure it doesn't hurt to at least put the request in on our reservation.

Also, impatiently waiting to try and book Cabana 1/2 on one of the days of our trip, whenever it opens

From the little information we have with only ‘routine exterior’ construction to go from - I expect the construction will change place every few weeks so will be difficult to predict where it will be any one week. Happy to hear if anyone has any different thoughts?

I would request "no scaffolding if possible" and nothing else

While a great idea but rooms are assigned without a schedule of scaffolding movements. Often the scaffolding moves as quickly as 24 hours. Guests might start with a clear view on check-in day and the scaffolding might appear on any day.

The first challenge is @UniversalDad did not identify if their reservation was for YC or BC so we could suggest locations for a Resort View.

My fault ! We are booked at Beach Club.

My wife's surprise birthday trip:
Flight gets in at 5pm > POR 7/15 - 7/16
7/16 - 7/17 AKL Kidani
7/17 - 7/20 Beach Club

I'm most excited for SAB, which our 4 and 2 year old will love! Again, any suggestions are much appreciate, but understanding that everyone probably is hoping to be as far from the scaffolding as possible

There are several great Resort View locations around the BC. In a months time they may have moved the scaffolding around to the Epcot side of the BC or all the way to the Front of the building.

Now that you narrowed it down to the BC there is another key question to answer do you have a preference for a Full balcony or are you OK with a Juliet balcony (small stand up space)?

We have reservations at the BC for October 26-Nov 1 and received the email regarding the exterior construction and port cochere. Given that it looks like the work is already in progress, we are really hoping that the work is completed by the time we arrive. We booked with a bounce back code so availability at other resorts is very limited... guessing we will need to wait until close to our trip to decide whether to switch resorts to avoid the scaffolding! We were hoping to spend a trip primarily enjoying the resort.

Preference would be full balcony, but I'd rather have a better view and a smaller balcony (if that makes sense)

2. Balcony size
3. Distance from pool and/or Epcot (not a huge factor to us, as we'll have a stroller)
