I was SO PROUD of DF for coming up with the idea of the Hidden Mickey!!!! And to think, this is a guy who had never been to Disney before I met him!!??!!??

Wow. I really can't believe it. We are exactly 4 weeks away!!!! By this time next month, I will be getting ready to walk down the aisle....

I have been busy finishing up little projects and figuring out what still needs to be done. Last week I had DF get my suitcases out and I actually started packing! I went to Walmart and got one of those big plastic tubs that will need to be shipped down to WDW (it will be filled with all of the stuff we have to drop off to our planner). I have started to fill a box with all of the stuff we will need on the cruise (I will ship this as well).

This morning I emailed the person who is going to be making our escort cards/favors. In case you don't remember, we are having Mickey-shaped cookies made that will have guests' names and table numbers printed on them.

I also emailed our photographer just to go over the timeline for the wedding day and the honeymoon shoot, which is two days later.

I emailed our planner over the weekend to get a confirmed time/place for the rehearsal. Just waiting to hear back from her.

DF received the groomsman gifts. They are personalized branding irons, which I think is such a cute idea. And he got the best man an apron. I will be wrapping these items along with the "groomsmen survival kits" I made a while back.

Our cake knife/server came in this past week. I ordered them online. You can't see it in the picture, but the server has our names and wedding date engraved on it.

It just occurred to me that I never posted a picture of our toasting flutes. We ordered them from Tiffany's. Who knew that a blue box could make a girl so happy?

Sorry for the long post. I will make sure to keep you updated in the next few weeks.

Found out that our rehearsal time is confirmed for 6pm. Now I can finish the welcome folders by printing out the itineraries. Oh, and the rehearsal will take place at Sea Breeze Point! I am SO EXCITED that we get to rehearse where the wedding will take place!

Thank you so much! That day is also my grandmother's 84th birthday. She is thrilled to share it with us!

It's really getting so close now. In 17 days we will be arriving in FL. Everyone told me that the time would fly by, and it is so true.

I have been keeping myself busy trying to accomplish things off of the to-do list. This past Saturday I had my second dress fitting. I am so completely in love with my dress. The alterations look PERFECT, and my MOH is all schooled on the process of lacing me up, tying the bow, and bustling the dress. I brought my travel box to the bridal salon, and the owner/seamstress will be stuffing my dress into the box so I can carry it on the plane. She instructed me to call Carolyn Allen's to let them know that my dress needs to be hand pressed and not steamed. She also wanted me to warn them that she would be stuffing the dress inside the box and it will need a little extra care. We (me and bridesmaids) will be picking up all of the dresses on October 15!

Which brings me to my next update. I talked with the sweetest man at Carolyn Allen's today. I called to let them know that my dress needs to be pressed and not steamed. I was instructed to do the following IMMEDIATELY after getting into our hotel room on 10/21: kick DF out of the room and hang the dress up in the closet in order to soften some of the wrinkles. I hope that the dress will have enough room in the closet?!?!?! Anyone else have to do this? I also prepaid for the gown pressing. I am trying to prepay for as many things as possible so I don't have to worry about it when I will be stressed out about other things.

DF is having his bachelor party on Saturday, October 15th. All of my local BM's will be coming over that night to keep me company (and drink a ton of wine... ). Kind of like a second bachelorette party!

My wonderful friend Jon (one of our groomsmen) finished designing/printing our invitations for the reception at home. I sent them out the other day and have gotten 2 responses so far! Only 75 to go!

I now have two suitcases that are pretty much completely full of clothes/wedding stuff. DF thinks I am crazy for packing so far away from when we are actually leaving. I just don't want to forget anything!

I have been compiling all of the super-duper important documents that need to come with us to FL (marriage license, giftcards, cruise documents, etc). I activated our Disney Honeymoon Registry giftcard yesterday (woo hoo!) and noticed that there was more money on it than there was after the shower. I logged into my account and saw that my boss and his wife gave us money towards California Grill! This was so touching because my boss has recently been diagnosed with cancer, and he will be out of work soon for a very intensive round of chemo. I thought it was so nice of him to want to give me and DF a gift.

In more uplifting news, I have managed to iron and pack both of our costumes for MNSSHP. In case you don't remember, I am going as Alice and DF will be the Mad Hatter. I ordered him a GINORMOUS hat and had to roll, bend, and fold it in order to get it into a suitcase...
