I'm toying with doing the same for concessions, decorations, costumes, etc. But I dunno...

I'm putting together a dashboard for all DMK things. Don't pay attention to the numbers...this isn't complete and is really a proof of concept. The data is coming from tabs further down in the workbook; each "section" is color coded to keep the information (for me, anyway) straight.

Just saw a post on IG. There appears to be some delays with the latest update. They posted that they estimate arrival tomorrow evening. They stated that, even with this delay, there will still be time to update the game and prepare for the start of the Cars Mega Event.

Well that likely explains the random award of happiness this morning. I was wondering what that was for.

iOS update available in the App Store. I immediately had a task with Woody and Bullseye. I thought it said it would be 6 hours, but it turned out to be 6 seconds. Then Merlin pops in and you get the flash of the new Cars Land area and the mention of Dreams. The new Cars Land area is going to be south of the Big Thunder Mountain area, but outside of the railroad track.

Looks like I have enough Dreamsparks (10) to clear the first plot (60 seconds). Appears that you can maybe have up to 30 Dreamsparks at a given time. The next area requires 12 Dreamsparks and with the freaking time wall, I get a message "Sorry, but there are currently no available ways to obtain Dreamsparks". You can't even purchase them for gems or magic.

There will be a new Cars float for the parade.

I saw the chest icon and couldn't find one, so I clicked it and it told me how much time before the next chest arrives. Never seen this before.

Oh this is going to be "fun". The featured characters, besides the Cars ones (as expected), is Silly Symphony. Figment is still featured though. So maybe I am reading more into this since Figment was featured previously and did squat.

There also appears to be other ways to earn gems. You could earn over 1,000 gems by playing other games. Or over 2,000 if you reach a level on a certain game. Some are as simple as checking out podcasts or taking quizzes. These appear to be available anytime. The video ads, for gems, are still there (but currently unavailable until 8pm ET).

The Dreamsparks are available in events, from what I gather. GL has also said not to expect any new land for a while after this...the land process takes years, apparently? I get why they did this: players with millions and millions of magic open all the land instantly and then complain three seconds later they want more land. So they need to throttle it somehow.

Dreamsparks are also a way for them to keep older players without a lot of incentive to do all events to their end a reason to keep engaged. I'm not necessarily down on it at this point. I did unlock the first plot of land this morning.

I'm also regularly checking the token shop to make sure they don't accidently drops Cars relics or tokens like they did for Lilo and Stitch ahead of tomorrow.

I have not welcomed Figment yet, and I do remember to visit the gameshop for the free chests. I suspect not many have welcomed him yet?
