So I am sitting here at the computer and I am COMPLETELY irritated with one of DF's groomsmen. Now let me start out by saying that said groomsman is a very nice guy, and I like him very much. However, he has this issue with relationships...I can only describe him as a serial dater. He has had more girlfriends than Hugh Hefner. He doesn't use any of them, he truly believes that each of them is "the one". When we first asked him to be in the wedding (just about a year from the actual wedding date, he had just started dating some girl. He immediately booked her an airline ticket to come to the wedding as his date. About 3 months ago, they broke up (surprise, surprise). He told us that he was going to come solo. DF told him he couldn't decide to bring someone else at the last minute, and he agreed. Wouldn't you know, DF just got a call from him saying, "I found a date and she just booked her ticket!". Umm, hello? I have already made the final payment and finalized the number of guests. Am I overreacting? I feel like bridezilla.....![]()
Don't feel like a bridezilla. You clearly let him know he couldn't do what he did, and he agreed. You have every right to tell him to leave her at home. Honestly, that's what I would do.![]()
You are TOTALLY not being a bridezilla! He said he was bringing someone, and then they broke up and he said he knew he could not bring anyone after that. Etiquette says only to invite peoples' partners if they have been together for over a year. He is being a groomsmenzilla! Tell him to leave the chick in the room!!
First of all....this groomsmen sounds just like my DF's best man lol ....except our BM DOES use girls.....That being said....you are NOT being a bridezilla!! Just tell him either he pays for her dinner and everything or she can't come....or just wait a month and they will be broken up anyways right?! lol ....but seriously...lay down the law girl!
Nope, not a bridezilla at all. You told him ahead of time, and he just... disregarded it. How would he take it if you explained that while there won't be 'room' so to speak at everything, she can certainly come along for non-weddingy-stuff?
IMHO she can come all she wants, just can't participate in the wedding festivities. If she wasn't to come view the ceremony (you don't get charged for extra people there do you?) then more power to her, but she's on her own for food and entertainment for the rest of the day... enjoy the parks lady!
Personally if I was a last minute "and guest" to a wedding somewhere like WDW I'd completely understand. And beyond that, if I didn't know anyone there I'd prob be glad for the opportunity to explore the parks by myself for a day.
