Know where my FAVORITE place in the world is, Mommy? I'm OUTTA HERE!!! Dude OUT!

All of my Cargoes are currently too big. :headache:

Wait, I mean :cool1:

I really didn't like how they fit when they fit, so I am going to have to find new ones for this trip. I am debating whether I want more cargo pants, or if I want to delve into the world of shorts :scared1: probably pants. Don't want to scare the kids too bad.

I also wish I could find a stitch wallet on a chain. :sad2: I'll just have to keep searching eBay. The asians LOVE stitch, so maybe they'll come up with one.

I got and am breaking in a great pair of sneaker-shoes that look like athletic mary janes. I also have a pair of white flats that are enormously comfortable that I will wear a lot, too. I am probably going to look like a "sneaker geek" tourist, but I will just have to deal. I would rather wear jeans, but my new cell phone won't fit, and I have been having problems finding a belt clip for it, since it's one of those personal PDA phones. If I can get a comfotable clip, I will probably go with jeans. heck, if I can find a comfortable pair of cargo jeans, that will be awesome. Are the designers still making nice ones of those?? I don't need big pockets.

I am bringing a pair of dressy pants and a few blouses for dinners. Add a pair of nice sandals, and I will be set for most evenings.

I decided on tee-shirts for me for the trip. They're comfortable, and I don't have to worry about my bra strap showing in every picture. I'm debating whether I want to just wear my old navy tees, or get/make a bunch of Stitch tees to wear around the parks. I have seen some great vintage ringer Mickey Tees on eBay I have been considering, too. I love stupid-saying tees, I just don;t know if I want all of my pictures having me wearing them, you know?

OK, enough rambling. Must do laundry!! :laundy:

Wow Angela! I got tired just reading all that. The kids outfits are going to be great! They are very lucky to have a Mom that knows how to do those things for them. princess: Conrats on the pants not fitting! :cheer2:

Congratulations!

No advice on the kid clothes. Dd insisted on picking out clothes to pack for herself, then complained later that she didn't have any jumpers. However, she completely overpacked on pretty much everything else! Good thing her clothes are small. Oh, and she ended up wearing the same outfit a couple days in a row, too.

Yeah. They hurt like heck, and my cheeks have swollen over the braces and rubberbands. it is not fun. I have a call in to the dentist to get my followup moved up to get them checked.

I have braces wax, but I am so swollen, I can hardly get in there to put it on.

Cut the nails off today, so hopefully I will be able to get in there better.

I will say, on the positive side, this is really helping my diet, as I can't chew. :rolleyes1
Oh no that's not good, hope it's a bit better today oh and try sucking on a bit of chocolate to give you a rest from soup :rotfl2:

The kids are usually pretty grumpy when we get off of the plane, so we're just going to swim, unpack, and have dinner the first day.
That's what we do but we are all so jetlagged there's no way we're fit for anything else :rotfl2:

I'm trying to figure out good outfits to make the kids for the trip. S will probably have a bunch of tee-shirt/shorts outfits. He loves the Buzz outfit, even though I am unhappy with the embroidery, so we're bringing that one. I am trying to kind-of coordinate outfits to parks, so I am going to let you all in on my preliminary thinking there. Sorry if I bore you. :sad1:
Wow!!!!!! You are a good Mummy making all of those :thumbsup2

Wait, I mean :cool1:
Woohooo well done :yay:

Thanks for all the congrats!

The weird thing is, acording to the scale, I have been at a plateau for weight loss for a month, yet pants that didn't fit 2 weeks ago are going on fine. :confused3

Whatever. I'll just put off getting new Disney pants until early April.

Kind of like Jordan and Underwear....:rolleyes1

Dude, the day we arrived in London, BIL took us all over tarnation (He lives in Battersea, took us to the Tower, London Eye, and around Downtown). then we stayed up eating lots of cheese and got drunk on some AWESOME wine. The next morning, we got up at 4am to catch the EuroStar to Paris, then walked all over Paris. We saw the Louvre, Notre Dame, and Arche de Triumphe in the same day!! The next day, he took us on a 6 hour Bike Tour of Versailles!! We didn't slow down until we got home (4 days later). I was a waste for 2 weeks.

So, while I sit here contemplating changing my ADR for Fulton's Crab House (I want the huge crustacean platter, but have heard negative things about the restaurant), B comes in, walks straight up to her father and says:

"I'm gonna go get naked now, Ok, Daddy?"

It took BOTH of us a second to realize she was asking for a bath. :lmao:

Kids....

My son does similar on bath nights. He used to run around the house shaking his bare tush at you singing "I'm a naked baby, I'm a naked baby..." He would still do it today if I didn't outlaw it.

Oh and I have NEVER had a bad experience at Fulton's CH. Even the night my brothers got in a huge fight while looking at menus and one stormed out of the fancy place. The fab food quickly got the unhappiness out of my thoughts. do it, do it, do it... :cheer2:

My kids run around and "sing" "Shake your booty. Shake your Booty" while....well....shaking their booties. :rotfl2:

I may never forgive MIL for teaching them that word. :sad2:

You are now required to tell "menu fight" story. ::yes::

Thanks! :thumbsup2

this is a long disney train wreck story...sorry but you asked.

Our last trip, was the first time we had all gone to disney with children. Both my brothers and I all had our first kids in the same year. So I thought it would be great to all go to WDW together so the kids could experience the WORLD together. WDW has been such a big part of our childhood, I thought my bros would appreciate this idea as much as I did.

Well, I was wrong. The whole trip my younger brother avoided the rest of the family, always appearing to be in a fight with his then GF (baby's momma). My older brother spent the whole trip fighting with my father, which I think was because they were sharing a Cabin at FtW. So by the mid of the week, I arranged a no children dinner with my bros and their GF/DW and my DW. I picked Fulton's for the place, because my DW have had several great meals there and I was hoping to impress them.

Apparently my lil-B decided he hated FCH. I did check with both of them before making the plans, but I guess he wasn't thinking. So he put on quite a little tood at the table once we were seated. My big-B asked him what his prob was and he said "this place sucks". So big-B yelled "then get the hell out of here". And before I could get in the middle (the story of my life) lil-B stormed out leaving his GF behind. Afte a minute or so she realized he wasn't coming back and followed suit. Which left us now a party of 4, sitting at a table for 6. Oh and with drinks for 6. Which after that explosion, was not a problem. My DW and I drink the extras (QUICKLY).

Yup. Didn't go up, though.

I need to learn French and go back. I LOOOOOOOVED Paris. Loved it.

Wish we had remembered the camera. Hung-over-crazy-speed-packing for an unplanned trip to Paris = not gud.

did I mention I loved Paris?

LOL! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

This sounds like something from my family stories....'course my father refuses to go back to WDW EVER AGAIN. The last time we were there I got in trouble for telling the truth, and he didn't speak to me for 36 hours. :headache:

now that sounds like a good tale to tell.

now that sounds like a good tale to tell.

Not really much. We went to WDW over the week of my 13th Birthday. This was when there was only MK and EPCOT center. I was expressly forbidden from telling anyone my age or that it was my birthday so my parents could avoid having to pay for an adult for me. (I guess back then 12 and under was considered a child). We were mostly in Orlando because my father had business down there, and my mother took the four of us to the parks and Sea World.

Well, ALL of us were at Biergarten ON my 13th birthday. it's my BIRTHDAY. The waitress very nicely comes up to me and asks me how old I am. I am only thinking "it's my birthday, we're eating lunch/dinner (it was about 3pm) at a german sausage house (I hate most sausages), and I haven't even gotten a PRESENT yet", and I told her it was my birthday. I was going to say I was 12, but I forgot, and told her I was 13.

They brought out a cake. Sang Happy birthday, and apparently charged my father for 3 adults and 3 kids. To say he fumed would be an understatement. I got screamed at, told he had to pay for my cake, and extraa for my meal, and that THAT was my birthday present that year. he then only scowled at me for the next 36 hours.

No, I'm not bitter. :rolleyes2:

This, BTW, is normal behavior for my parents towards me. Which is why HHBG says I have 2 sets of ILs. :rotfl:

On the way driving home to Long Island, my father announced that we were NEVER going back to Disney world for as long as he lived. It is too expensive, my father doesn't understand leisure time (the 3 trips to disney were the only non-educational trips we took until I was 18), and he hated it.

My mother, onthe other hand, has been back to Disney by herself 4 or 5 times since my youngest sister moved out. Every time my father goes to Orlando or Kissimmee for business, she goes with him and goes to the parks alone. They have NEVER stayed on site, and have no interest.

Now that I have kids, my MIL wants a big family trip to WDW: us, my ILs and my parents. They want us to get everyone into a 3Br Villa. I am not feeling too sure about this, and my folks haven't agreed to it yet, but if it happens, I'm sure it'll make a heck of a TR. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:rotfl: sorry, I shouldn't laugh. :rotfl2: :lmao: but that is perfect. I love it.

ooh...don't do it. After that last trip where we all shared cabins I will never do it again. they are allowed to come to WDW at the same time as me, but I will never share a room with them again. I need a sanctuary from the world while on vacation, even if it is just to sleep. This year we aren't even staying in the same resorts.

I just read your story Angela! :scared1: I cant imagine what the drive home to LI must`ve been like.
I would listen to phibbles advice on the Big family trip!! DOES NOT sound like a good idea. :scared:

Trust me, I am NOT for this proposed trip. We took a vacation in 2001 with my ILs and one BIL (the twin bro) to Vegas and then The Grand Canyon. It was HORRIBLE (Ok, there were some good parts). HHBG and I still talk about how horrible some parts of the trip were. We have taken a number of vacations with TBIL, but that was the last time we took any kind of extended vacation with my ILs. We still go to Camp Jeep with them, but those trips, even are usually a mess. :sad2: I don't travel well with others. :confused3

And after the horror stories HHBg has heard from me (and gotten confirmed from other family members), he is not too keen on vacationing with my folks either. Add to that, we visit my sibs in AZ every year, and when my folks are there, they are the worst about things, and he doesn't even want to think about it.

WE are just getting a LOT of pressure from OTHER family members who want to go along, namely HHBG's younger Brother and his wife. we told them THEY should go and send us a post card. We'll see if it happens. :rotfl2:

Oh, and the drive to LI was VERY QUIET. When my dad gets steamed he doesn't talk, and he slams things around. We all knew not to ask to stop to go potty. That was about it.

My poor baby sister didn't get a good trip to WDW until her senior trip in HS. (my senior trip was to Busch gardens. :sad1: )

BTW, I am the oldest of 4, and the black sheep/scape goat.

Remind me, one day, to tell you about how my parents blamed everything said baby sister did to her body (tattoos and piercings) on ME. never did figure that one out. :confused3

They also tried to talk HHBG out of marrying me. :rotfl2:

Oh: Funny Story!!

When S was born, every time he got mad, he made my dad's "scary angry face". The one that would scare the poop out of us as kids. here is my newborn son making the same face. it was hysterical. We never managed to get a pic of it, unfortunately. :sad2: The poor kid must have been so confused. Every time he got really upset or angry all the adults would start to crack up.
