Know where my FAVORITE place in the world is, Mommy? I'm OUTTA HERE!!! Dude OUT!

My mouth feels like raw meat. It sucks. And, right now, I only have 4 brackets and rubberbands. :headache:

GO GIANTS!

Are your braces still hurting today? My friend had some special gel stuff which really helped :confused3

Yeah. They hurt like heck, and my cheeks have swollen over the braces and rubberbands. it is not fun. I have a call in to the dentist to get my followup moved up to get them checked.

I have braces wax, but I am so swollen, I can hardly get in there to put it on.

Cut the nails off today, so hopefully I will be able to get in there better.

I will say, on the positive side, this is really helping my diet, as I can't chew. :rolleyes1

Hi Blue.

well, I have lost 2 pounds in a week eating basically nothing but soup. I'm going to visit my work-out crazy sister and brother over president's week, so this could be a good thing....:rolleyes1

2 pounds=gud!!!!

Eating nothing but soup is not gud :headache:

OK, for those of you actually looking for a "real" update for this PTR, here one is....kinda.

I have been thinking about the trip. We are going for 8 days and 7 nights. We got 6 day park hoppers. basically, the day we get there and the day we go home, we are not going to any parks. The kids are usually pretty grumpy when we get off of the plane, so we're just going to swim, unpack, and have dinner the first day.

The kids want to bring their own suitcases. I think I will let them this year. I think HHBG and I will each pack our own bags, too, since we are using ME. Since we will use disney transportation everywhere, we don't have to pack the car seats, which is a bonus.

Part of me really wants a new rolling duffle bag. The one I have is, well, HUGE. as in, too huge. It's too easy to over-fill, and weights over 10 lbs EMPTY. Not good. I really think I want a new one, as we have that duffle, and some carry-on sized bags with nothing inbetween. I like the rolling-duffle idea, as they tend to be a good size. I can probably justify getting one if it will also work for my camping trip in October. I cut into the camping money to get a new car stereo, but I should still have enought for a new bag along with a tent and shelter. Most of the rest of the stuff I already have. I'll have to look in the camping store HHBG is insisting we go to to check out the tent and stuff when we go to AZ.

Hmmmmmmm:scratchin

My family feels the same way on the first day. I - however - would rather go to MK on the first day

I'm trying to figure out good outfits to make the kids for the trip. S will probably have a bunch of tee-shirt/shorts outfits. He loves the Buzz outfit, even though I am unhappy with the embroidery, so we're bringing that one. I am trying to kind-of coordinate outfits to parks, so I am going to let you all in on my preliminary thinking there. Sorry if I bore you. :sad1:

Day 1 - Travel

I have NO IDEA. I do know they want custom outfits, and have requested embroidered plane blankets. Ariel for B and Dumbo for S.

maybe I'll look to see if I have any cool peter pan/tinkerbelle embroideries. I knwo I have a lot of Tink fabric. Hmmm....

That night we are eating at the WCC for dinner....I am debating making cowboy outfits for our upcoming trip to AZ, since we are going to a wild-west recreation town. If I make them, we will probably bring them along for this dinner.

Day 2 - DHS - Akershus for Dinner

B wants ONLY princesses (and/or Tinkerbelle) for her customs this trip, so I am thinking Belle for this day, since returning to the BB show is a must. She also wants mostly "gown" style dresses similar to the blue one. I have a nice poly-linen fabric in pale yellow I htink I'll use with red roses and a Belle embroidery on the bodice.

For S, I think this will be the Buzz Lightyear day....if not, either a Monster's Inc (If I can convince him) or Mickey.

For dinner, B wants an Ariel Wedding dress....kind of. She wants it white, and she wants Ariel embroidered on it. I am going to try to make one like she wants. We'll see how that works out.

Day 3 - Epcot

I think that S will be getting a Nemo outfit for this day. Again, I have plenty of Nemo fabric. He loved Turtle talk last year, and got to ask Crush a question, so I'm sure he'll be happy about that. I'll have to ask him if her wants Nemo or Crush on his tee-shirt.

For B, since we're having lunch at Marrakesh, I am probably going to do a Jasmine-themed dress. I have a beautiful pale aqua fabric I will probably use with some gold trim and, again, a jasmine embroidery on the bodice. maybe I'll use some of my gold bias for straps. :confused3

Day 4 - Animal Kingdom

For S, I am making a Lion King tee shirt with animal print shorts. S LOOOOVES animals, so I know I have to focus on that for him. Right now his room is decorated with "animals who lay eggs". He's very very into animals.

I wish B would let me make her a nemo dress, but she really wants princesses. I'm thinking this day, I might slip in a Minnie Dress (who counts as a princess, somehow). I have a gorgeous vintage pink minnie dot and matching minnie trim I want to make a dress out of. I also got a bolt of red Minnie dot. We'll see which I end up using (maybe both, but in different outfits)

Day 5 - Magic Kingdom, BBB, and CRT

I WANTED to make B a princess dress, but she insists she'll need to buy one. I'm Ok with this. Since we're getting into the park early for the appointment and CRT, I will bring a backpack with a change of clothes for her in case she gets hot. This day will be the blue Cinderella dress you've all already seen.

For CRT, HHBG wants me to make S a knight's placket. :confused3 If I have time, I'll do this. I have a nice large crest embroidery, so i could probably use it. Underneath, though, S will have a Dumbo outfit, probably. I haven't been able to find any dumbo fabric I like for a 5 year old boy, so it'll probably be pretty simple with a tee with Dumbo on it, and a pair of sky shorts with either another Dumbo, the crows, or Timothy on a pocket.

Day 6 - Probably also Magic Kingdom

B will either get Ariel or Aurora on this day. Either way,the dress will be pink. B is all about pink. This is another day I haven't really figured out. I might try to slip another Minnie outfit in here because....

S will have a Mickey outfit, or will wear the Buzz Lightyear outfit. it depends on what I decide for DHS.

Day 7 - No plans as of yet. This will probably be a park-hopping day as we try to do anything we missed during the week and/or repeat things.

B will probably get whichever one of the Ariel/Aurora/Minnie dresses she doesn't wear the day before. She has been loving Lady and the Tramp lately....maybe I'll try to sneak in a Lady dress. Probably Ariel, though. She's all about Ariel, and saw some of the amazing Ariel dresses over ont he Disboutique boards. She really wants me to make her a pillowcase-ariel dress like they have over there, but I can't find a pillowcase. I really need to figure something out.

Day 8 - Homeward Bound Day

HHBG wants me to make S a Donald outfit. if I do it, this will be the day. I was thinking about Stitch, myself, but I might just have to make MYSELF a stitch outfit for one day. S is difficult, because he's not really as into Disney as his sister. He loves playhouse disney, but I don't really know how to make a boyish "BunnyTown" outfit. maybe this day will be Tigger. The kid is hyper enough for it.

B will Probably have a Snow White outfit for this day, as that is the last princess. I might let her pick which princess she wears which day and just bring all of them. Since the princesses are pretty ubiquitous, I don't see it being much of an issue wherever we go. She's pretty opinionated about what she wears, so we'll see.

I'll probably end up making them both some extra outfits. Most days, we are going back to the room in the afternoon for a swim, then the kids are going to the kids club while HHBG and I have dinner. If I know my kids, they are going to want to put on different outfits for dinner. Something kind of pajama-y. Maybe I'll make some of the rejected ideas for those nights in simple peasant dresses and more tee-shirt/shorts outfits. We'll see what kind of time I end up having....maybe I should Dis less, and work on them more.....:scratchin...............nah.

So, that's my thought process. Any ideas would be appreciated here. As things get done, i'll be sure to post pics.

My family feels the same way on the first day. I - however - would rather go to MK on the first day

Me too. But dealing with grumpy kids will ruin a trip for me, so we deal.

I am waiting until the kids are older so we don't have to bsae out trips around them so much. *sigh* We still have fun, but I'm really looking forward to park hopping and going on all the "grown up" rides on Oct. :cool2:
