Kids stole the keys from the dog at POTC

It would be an interesting statistic to know of just how many things are stolen from the different attractions...I have a suspicion it would be shocking....:scared:

Maybe, they'll be stupid enough to put the items they took for sale on Ebay. If so, Disney will fnd them.

I thought about that. I hope somehow they get caught. The dog scene is my favorite :(. Stupid jerks ruin things for everyone.

I think they probably were caught. The OP would just have no way of knowing that. It would take five minutes for them to get to the front gate even running. I'm sure security was on it.

This is so ridiculous. I'm ashamed to be in the same age group as these people. Not all "youths" are this disrespectful, I assure you!

I believe the OP. I am sure these guys were drunk and trying to get away with things since it was late in the park and they had successfully pulled off getting alcohol into Magic Kingdom. They were being jerks. And yes, you can get alcohol into Magic Kingdom and it's fairly easy - no, I have not done it but putting vodka into a water bottle or dark rum into a Coke bottle can be done. I've seen it plenty of places (not Disney World).

And verifying if the keys are still there doesn't prove or disprove the OP's story. I'm sure the keys have been replaced already.

Also, those guys might have been stopped by security at the front of the park since it would have been a simple thing to radio in descriptions.

Much ado about nothing, we should move on.

Huh??? Where did the op say anything about them being drunk???

We are really annoyed with this, because this is the reason why lapbars get put on,these rides.

We are currently at MK. Park closed a few min ago, amd we were one of the last boats through POTC. Three of us were in a boat alone, following behind an empty boat; directly in front of that one was a boat with four men (college age/late teenager years).

These guys got out of the boat several times, walked THROUGH scenes, grabbed at things. We actually yelled at them once. But the three us us were angry as heck to see them grab the keys from the dogs mouth at the end of the ride. As soon as their boat pulled up, they hopped out and started walking fast. We yelled at the CM to stop them (the sensors apparently never went off, what the CMs told us) but they ran. A swarm of security came out but the kids were gone. We told the CM s what we saw, vut we have no idea if the keys were recovered.

And this is why lapbars happen on these rides. Jerks.

Sorry for mispellings, on my phone.

:scratchin

I'm leaving for DW tonight, but I won't be going to MK for a couple of days. I'll try to remember to check then if someone else hasn't checked in the meantime.

We're actually heading into MK now. We are curious if the keys were replaced.

I did get a pic of a family tailgaiting and BBQing in the MK parkimg lot, complete with tent, a few minutes ago. I can post that picture if no one believes that.

To the person who asked which scenes they were walking in, the boats are close enough to the wLla in a few areas for anyone to climb out. One scene they went into was with the red headed wench.

This thread needs to see something funny, to lighten it up. Please, please post this picture! :flower3:

OP, I believe you, but I think it's shocking that the CMs missed it. I've been on POC several times when annoying peeps were taking flash photography repeatedly. Twice they actually stopped the ride and announced that no flash photography was allowed. Seems like maybe someone was not paying attention...if it was the last run of the night, someone may have let out a tired sigh and started prepping to go home. I agree with PPs that someone may be in trouble here, which may explain why the CM noted the Adventureland CMS were less than happy when they were asking if anyone had seen these young men.

I hope these track these guys down and humiliate them publicly.

I'm beginning to think that Disney has more safety issues than any of us would have believed!!

Maybe the Kingdom Keepers hacked the system and deterred their attention elsewhere. Maybe the boys stealing the keys were really overtaker DHIs. :scared:

Since I am reading book number 5 right now, this is the first thing that came to mind.....I was not brave enough to post it though!! Thanks for the laugh!

That why don't you post them?:confused3

Are you the key stealing boat hopper. That can be the only reason I can think you would doubt the OP. Seriously, shaking in the boots cause you might be busted?!?!

In all seriousness though, WHY would anyone make up a story like this. I have seen people do stupid CARP in WDW that one would NEVER think could happen without being busted by the Disney police. It happens, sadly enough. The CM's are human too and sometimes they slack and things happen.

I want an update to this story. Not because I don't believe it, but because I NEED to know that they were caught and and that the doggie got back his keys :(

There may have been some follow up to this incident but we will probably never hear about it. Once the video tape was reviewed they may have tried to locate the offenders as they left the park but if it was late all that may have been done was to take names and ask them never to return.
