Using that lens to photograph the activities would be a better use of your expensive gear, and could be used by WDW to ban the bozos from the parks...

I wonder when WDW will put their banned people in a face-recognition system...

Not sure if I should have let my kids know about this...especially since it will likely be fixed by the time we return...but DD5 was really upset. She doesn't understand why anyone would do this. She was going on about how much she loves the dog and always thought it was so cute how he had the keys. She said she wanted to take a picture of that on her next trip (w/o a flash of course ). Seriously though, while it angers me that people think pranks like this are funny and non-damaging- it hurts a lot more when you see your child cry about it. Like I said- probably shouldn't have told the kids, but they heard me talking to DH about it.

Why in the world would I make a story like this up? A few people have indicated they,felt this wasn't true. I donT know what else to tell you other than what the three of us saw, with our own eyes, reported, and a swarm of Disney CMs/security took info from us and tried to find the guys after.

Trust me, DG, you are one of the last people I know here that would make up such a story.

I can't imagine why someone would do this but I do believe that they do. We had a similar experience on Splash years ago and the entire ride got shut down and we were stuck for a good 30 minutes which really sucked. Their so called fun added a slight inconvenience for the rest of us that could have been avoided had they not been acting so foolishly.

Yes, there was a cm at the end of the ride and we yelled at her to stop them from leaving. She didnt know what we were saying until they were at the top of the ramp, and they took off. She immediately called security.

I'm done with this thread. I came here to relay what we saw last night and some people think this is a made up story...and for what? It makes no sense to me why these people got away with what they did...same as the people wiggling out of the seatbelts at Soarin recently and no alarms went off.

For those who think this story is false -- it's not.

When I was asked to park clear last night [5/18/2012 at 10:30] the managers of Adventureland and Liberty Square said if we saw 4 teenage/college boys in the area to apprehend them and call security. The managers from Adventureland in particular were very upset, not in the usual 'Disney Smile' spirit.

No word from me if they were caught -- I was released early.

I believe the OP. I am sure these guys were drunk and trying to get away with things since it was late in the park and they had successfully pulled off getting alcohol into Magic Kingdom. They were being jerks. And yes, you can get alcohol into Magic Kingdom and it's fairly easy - no, I have not done it but putting vodka into a water bottle or dark rum into a Coke bottle can be done. I've seen it plenty of places (not Disney World).

And verifying if the keys are still there doesn't prove or disprove the OP's story. I'm sure the keys have been replaced already.

Also, those guys might have been stopped by security at the front of the park since it would have been a simple thing to radio in descriptions.

Much ado about nothing, we should move on.

Would love an update from anyone who is there to know if items are missing from the ride, most notably the keys.

In a worst-case scenario and if the keys weren't returned/found, they would probably just pull the toy ring of keys out of the pirates gift shop. It won't look as good, but that one little prop would ruin the scene. Disney is big about Show. [And Safety... and Efficiency... etc.] So either they worked something out this morning to get by or they were returned. I'll ask some cm friends of mine at that attraction. :]

OP, I know you said you were done with the thread, but can you explain how they were walking through scenes without getting into the water? I can see being able to do that by the dog, but I don't think you can really anywhere else and I also don't see how they could get back in the boat in time without the CM seeing them out of the boat.

I believe the story though because I don't think you registered on here five years ago and made a few thousand posts just to lull us into a false sense of security for when you dropped this bomb on us.

Yup Mesa that is my thought to. I originally thought, "well that is not possible. Disney is better than that." Then notice OPs post count. He has definitly been planing this trolling for years! If we are to believe the girl a few weeks ago who said she saw a group of teenage girls posing with the small world dolls (out of their boat), Disney security has really gone down hill!!! They really need to get their act together!

i could see how you could walk through the scenes at the beginning. and i can definitely see how one could get out of the boat during the final scenes (Jack in the treasure room and the dog/jail). i'm so sad to hear that some kids did this though. some people have no respect.

and i was in a boat on Splash Mountain with idiots who stood up (before lap bars). nobody EVER came over the speaker to tell them sit down. and they pretty much stood most of the ride.
