Just got back from wonderful trip and wanted to share a tip. DH, DD and I decided that the best way to hit all the rides that were on DD's list of must do's for the MK was to get to the park at opening (not on an EE day), head straight to Fantasyland and we found that we had almost no wait and could go from one ride to another and quickly hit them all. Then we headed over to Adventure Land and hit the Magic Carpets then relaxed and checked out shows, shopped and ate.

Thanks for the tip! :sunny:

Did you walk back to Fantasyland? My original plan was to ride the train to Toontown and then go to Tomorrowland, but after reading several posts, I think maybe I should do FL after TT. What do you think? Should I even consider doing FL before TT? I just did not want to wait forever to see all of the characters, and I thought I would get through TT pretty quickly with an 8 year old.

Thanks,

Stephanie

Stephanie - we walked back to Fantasyland as soon as we got there. Walked right on Pooh, Peter Pan and Dumbo. Can't tell you about Toontown - we didn't spend a lot of time there.

that is our normal plan each time....Fantasyland first....Dumbo and the merry go round very first thing as those load extremely slow....then peter pan and pooh....I made the mistake the first time for a fastpass for pooh and it was a waste of time....I might this time get a fastpass for HM while the kids are doing dumbo...Pooh was still a walk on till about 10 pm....Usually they get 3 non stop rides on dumbo and 2 on the merry go round....So if you got small kids I highly suggest that....Then we usually hit toontown and see characters anf then tomorrowland and the the other side the park....never been a problem that way with waits....of course its always early december when we go.....

We did the same thing for many of the rides in Fantasyland (we skipped Dumbo and teacups). One additional tip: If you do this, plan to definitely take a mid-day break. It is great going on all of the attractions in a row, but it's also easy to overlook the fact that you're on the go for hours at a stretch. We pooped out a lot earlier on days when we went on a lot of attractions in a row during the morning.

Stephanie,
Toontown usually doesn't open until 10 a.m., so if you're planning on getting to MK when the park opens, you can't do TT first. I agree with the original poster--I think it's best to hit Fantasyland first. You can get through that area quickly, and I hate waiting in line for the Fantasyland rides later in the day.

Stephanie - I don't think Toontown opens at 9:00 a.m. along with the rest of the park. I believe it opens at 10:00 a.m. or it did the last time I checked. So your plan of going to Toontown first would not work.

I second the tip of hitting Fantasyland first. We have always done this and have ridden all the rides there without wait within the first hour of the park. This land is the MOST congested land in the MK. It's a great plan to get it done first thing in the morning.
