June/July/August 2006 Code watch

I've got a question.

I plan on waiting for AP codes through the end of next week and then just buying parkhoppers if they don't come out. We just feel more comfortable having tickets in hand before the trip and I want to make sure we get them in time.

Now, if AP rates for June come out after that, can I call and get the AP rate, check in without the AP, head over to one of the parks and upgrade one of our parkhoppers to an AP? Is that allowed and doable?

You can exchange your hopper for an AP. They will usually allow you to check in without the AP as long as you show them one later, although I am not 100% sure of this. I do know that sometimes they don't even ask for my AP!

I'm glad that I don't "need" an AP rate, but I do like a deal like the rest of us waiting.

Oh I am sooo still praying for you guys......I had to wait about 6 weeks to find out what CM discount I was getting cuz we played phone tag for that long as the person I got my discount from is a liason and does alot of big tours, anyway so I know what you are going thru. Now I got it about 2 weeks ago and now I am like ok now what am I going to do....... the anticipation is over and I am booked so?????? I check here everyday waiting to see the excitment in your posts. Keep your fingers crossed folks it will come!!!!! You know what they say "Good things come to those who wait"

Site is down again. Grrrrr.
The CRO system is down as well. I just called to make a deposit on a reservation and was asked to call back this afternoon. Could this mean something or is it just some technical problem. :scratchin

In addition to AP rates, I'm hoping they'll release some room availability at some of the resorts that are currently booked which is why I keep checking the site. The problem with the AAA site is they show availability for rooms when there is none, which you don't find out until you've typed in all the info, including your credit card information.

My call to the CM got the response of "no worries". :confused3 ....very nice guy, but easy for him to say!!! We are also waiting for the July 17-Aug 2nd AP rates...fingers and toes crossed
Thanks to all for the positive vibes! :wizard:

I just got into the website and the passholders site no problem. My question is, normally I have to type my annual pass information in order to access the passholder site. For some reason it brought me right in without typing in any of that. All I did was go to Disneyworld.com and then clicked on passholders and it brought it right up. Could I be getting old information that is stored on my computer?

If you tell the site to save your logon info, it will log you in automatically using information stored in a cookie.

Thanks...I did do that awhile ago but it didn't work. All of a sudden it is but also it is not giving me the message about going to an unsecure server...blah, blah, blah...it just goes right into the passholder site.

When I started looking, a week or so ago, the prices on AAA were higher. I was specifically looking for the Poly and the cheapest was $305. Then Monday it had dropped to $267ish so I jumped on it & booked. I see that today it is $305 again. Don't know what that means, but I glad I booked when I did.

Does the AP Website get updated at the same time as the new codes become available to the CRO CM's? Or is there usually a delay of some kind?

Well then, you could just consider it some "Disney Magic". Either that or Big Brother Mickey is watching you...

Well.... I just thought I'd share with my fellow AP code watchers ....

We are obsessed with these (potential) codes (much like most of you). yes, obsessed ...... this is our 1st year with an AP, so we are of course hoping to get one of those great deals we've only heard/read about in years past ..... we check this site 1st thing in the morning, last thing at night & in between hoping, just hoping ......

Because we are sooooo obsessed (especially DH) that DH actually forgot our anniversary yesterday. Yep - FORGOT OUR ANNIVERSARY!!! :sad2:

I sure hope any possible code is a great one if/when it comes out!

I am just confused where you got the $267 rate?
Did you call? Was it on the web site? From a TA?
And for what dates?

I just checked the website for the days I need...June 10-13 (we have a package for the week prior)...all the values and some of the mods are sold out. I am kind of loosing hope on getting a code. Oh well...who needs the extra money anyway? :lmao:

For all of you that responded to my ? about cancelling our current ressies and putting a deposit on rooms that were out of reach at the rack rate in hopes of applying an AP code in the future...(whew!)

Thanks for your input. I figured that it wouldn't be a good idea, because then it appears to Disney that people are booking at rack rates and that would contribite to them not seeing a need to release codes. I had just read other posts about people saying to "BOOK NOW" and hold the room you want or it will most likely not be available when and if codes are released. I decided to just stick with our current ressies, even though I'm a little disappointed. It's that or try to justify spending an extra $500-$600 to my DH who DOES NOT have the Disney bug!

Thanks for your input!

Yeah, I'm obsessed too. I just keep logging in, hoping that I will see a post with a bunch of  and :dancer: . Then I will know a code is out!

We're going to POR from June 4-9. I'd love to get a code, but I'll survive if I don't. Maybe. :p

OK..we have abit of hope here...

at 3;30 Chicago time i called and had a nice chat with "Capucino". ( the names are getting better and better..lol )

he said and i qoute "sir, the rates for after june 3rd will be VERY SOON."
he said nothing is pending in the computer as of the time i called...but he did say and i quote again.."ALL RESERVATION CM'S HAVE BEEN PUT ON ALERT."

He also said that the codes generally come out first thing in the morning but would not be surprised if they popped in the afternoon. I do remember in 2002 or 2003 the codes came out for summer on a thursday afternoon about 3pm ET.

He confirmed that no codes would be released on the weekends. I had him checking EVERYTHING.

If its not tomorrow...its going to be sometime Monday - Wednesday next week. May 1 - May 3.

But the fact he told me all have been put on alert is a fabulous sign.
