Juan says "BAAAA!" - 12/24 - Our last few Disney hours. COMPLETE

Great update, looks like Henry had a whale of a time in the Tree House, great pics :)

Your preview for your next installment sounds interesting :)

He really did! He could have stayed in there for a lot longer if we had allowed.

Think corny jokes for the next installment...:goodvibes

Hi Brook!

I was SO behind!! So glad to catch up during naptime!!!:yay: Great updates! Bummer about the corn dogs...and I know you aren't going to believe this...BUT I have never had these!!! So I don't know how much you missed out but so glad you have the upcoming trip so you can have them!!!! And woohoo for free grapes and fries, you guys always have that extra magic! Last trip was the cookie for H!! :wizard: Love all the pics you got that day.....love the old and new pics of H in front of zurg behind bars......awww!!!! Can't wait to see the next one!!! And I'm with you, very serious when it comes to Buzz....and what a GREAT score, you go girl!!!:thumbsup2 Love the treehouse pics...haven't been there since I was a kid....seemed like SO much work to take the boys/stroller/bags the last couple of trips....is it manageable?? The BAAAAAAAA story was great, loved it!! I was wondering where that came from!!! Too funny and cute!:cutie:

Looking forward to hearing more!!! And hoping I can stay up to date now!!;)

Nap time DISing, I like it! I do the same!

Have you ever ate at Casey's? A lot of people just love their dogs, so they have never ventured to the corn dogs. I tried a regular dog once there, and I'll be sticking with the corn dogs! ;) But, from what I have read on the DIS, a lot of people like the dogs with the cheese sauce they offer.

Joe was hoping for another free cookie for Henry when we ate at the Bakery, but that is "tomorrow" in our trip, so you'll have to wait and seeeeeee! :goodvibes

We parked the stroller, with the bags, outside of the Tree House, no way were we bringing all that in. There are a LOT of steps. So, if you aren't comfortable with leaving that stuff, skip it until you are stroller-less for sure.

The treehouse was my favorite when I was his age!

There is so much to look at in that Tree House, and I can easily see why kids would love it - it's easy to pretend and "play house" in there. I can only imagine most kids have never seen the movie, so they don't know what it is.

Our boys used to love the Tree house when they were little. DH and I haven't done it in years. Both of us being 50+, we just have NO DESIRE to climb up that tree anymore. Now, if it had an escalator, that would be a different story. :rotfl:

Love the pic of Henry after he obviously had a taste of mom and dad's dole whips.

I can understand why you skip the tree! I think my FIL will take one look in December and say "No way!" There are soooo many steps!

You like the little Dole Whip Mustache in that shot?! :cutie:

Aww!! I love the pics of Henry in the Treehouse!! Too cute! I've seen the movie but a long, long, long time ago. I think I'll have to think about seeing it again!!

Your title for the next installment is intriguing!!!!

It's a great flick! I actually wouldn't mind owning that one because it's good, and Henry I'm sure will really like it when he gets older. It's very wholesome-the worst thing is people getting squished at the end when the bad guys attack!

:lmao: :rotfl: :worship: :rotfl2:

This had me rolling!

Loved the photos in both the recent updates. AWESOME job on the closeups and details!

Can't wait to hear how the "Juan" portion of the TR title came into being.

Glad I provided a good laugh! It was a really fun time! Henry was giggling so much during it all - he's was hamming it up good!

Thank you for the compliment on the shots! I wasn't going to include them, since they really aren't of anything-but then I remembered a few fellow photo-geeks read this TR, so I thought I would share. :goodvibes

Unfortunately, the Juan part is our LAST day. At this rate, we might be 60 by the time you find out...;) Just kidding...I REALLY hope to have this done before our December trip. I hope to update tomorrow too! Gotta get roooooolling!

Love the Laugh Floor experience! :rotfl:

Thanks!! :goodvibes It was a lot of fun! I hope Henry enjoys it as much in December, I know it's a show my whole family will like!

I haven't been in the treehouse for soooooooo long.

We never had been, just always breezed right over it, as I think most people do. It's a lot of stairs, and I'm sure many people won't quite get it - but, we liked it...and Henry, well....;)

Hi Brook! I love all your updates! I, too, was rolling over your animal "skills"! :rotfl2: Especially when you said, Goat - does he know who he's talking to?! :rotfl:

Sorry again about your beloved Corn Dog! Oh well, there's always next time, right? I tried my first Anchors Aweigh sandwich on our last trip as well as a Dole Whip! They were both indeed heavenly! :lovestruc

Heather

It's embarrassing, but true on those animal noises!

YES, there is always next time. 39 days until next time!!! :dance3:

So glad you enjoyed both the sandwich and a Dole Whip. Yummmmy!

The only reason I can think there are only two beds in the Treehouse is that one of the boys goes off the island at the end....:confused3

I am always terrified that I'm going to get picked in Monsters Inc and I totally don't want too. :rotfl2:

I'm loving all the light fixtures! :goodvibes

Ah ha! That completely makes sense! YES! And duuuuuh to me! The one boy does leave!

I was shocked that I was picked! I don't know if they choose the same spots all the time, or if it's random, or if they look for someone that looks like they would enjoy it. I'm kinda loud, boisterous, not-shy a lot of the time...so, I'm a shoe-in for that!

Happy to provide you with a light fixture fix. :goodvibes I love it because even Joe points them out now for you!

Oooh, Dole Whips!!! My fav! (Need a drool smilie here!)

They are sooooo very good. ::yes::

It's amazing what will entertain a child. How great is that!

A shoe box, a foam cup, some bubble wrap - they like all that more than the 3882 toys that litter my living room.

I am always terrified that I'm going to get picked in Monsters Inc and I totally don't want too. :rotfl2:

Me, too! That big light came toward me once and I froze in fear. Thank heavens it stopped at Jill, who was holding Brooklynn. He talked to her, pronounced her the girl with two heads (since Brooklynn's head was right below hers in the frame), and she pulled it off very nicely. I sat there and did not bat an eyelash for fear he would find something to say about any action or reaction on my part. :)

Brook, great pictures, as always. I've always loved the treehouse. It goes all the way back to my first visit in the opening days of Disney World. I was a teenager, and I remember seeing it for the first time and thinking it would be so fun to live there for a while.

I can't remember - have you taken Henry to Tom Sawyer Island?

Brooke -

Another great installment! Love it! I love the Monsters Inc detail pictures. I can honestly say I have never taken pictures in that queue. I am always trying to think up a joke to text in. And then with my mad texting skills - well it takes me the whole queue just to finish the text. :rotfl: (Ill be faster next time with my new phone!).

Dole whip - yum! I think they are so yummy and yet I rarely get one. For some reason my hunger is never timed with a visit to that part of the park. Next time - for sure!

And the tree house pictures - love them. I took a bunch, too. They are on my computer, but I still haven't uploaded them yet because I'm not quite there in my TR. Can't wait to see how they turned out!

Great update! Believe it or not I have never had a dole whip...:rolleyes1 I really want to try one though.

Glad you guys enjoyed the treehouse. We haven't done that in ages.

Continued from previous post

This "BAAAAAAA!"'ing did not end. For the entire trip. And all the way home. We had a bleating child for about a week after the trip. And even about a week ago, he let one rip randomly. This is the only thing we can associate it back to.

Kids are crazy, aren't they?! I LOVE IT!! :goodvibes

Up next: Henry's favorite attraction of the trip!

This had me cracking up......out loud!!! Kids are hilarious!

~bree~

Boy I must say those Dole treats do look mighty tasty!! I havent had a dole whip in a long time and Ive never had what Joe was holding. It looks YUMMY:thumbsup2
Anyway, the updates are great. I love your Monsters Inc story! That is one of my favs. I love seeing the expressions on the peoples faces when they come up on the screen. And I havent done the Treehouse since I was a little kiddo! Glad Henry enjoyed exploring there.
I finally got a ticker:cool1::woohoo:
Just wish it wasnt so far away-wanna trade???:rolleyes1

Another update already! Hurray!

How opportune that just as someone needed a snack, Aloha Isle was right there. ::yes:: Heavens, those pictures make me want a Dole Whip right now.

Cool pics of the treehouse -- I need to rent Swiss Family Robinson so the kids can see it -- I am afraid that is a gap in their Disney education.

643656683_bKeHr-M.jpg

Oh my goodness, I just love Henry's hair! I'm so sad neither of my boys have red hair

We didn't get to to the treehouse when we were there, it was closed due to rain. It is definitely on my to-do list but I may have to watch the movie first.

On the way we spotted a Photopass photographer, we weren't doing Photopass this trip, but I wanted at least one family shot! I'm glad we stopped, I really like this pic!
643655628_ya3Pe-M.jpg

Love the family portrait!

This time I got it with vanilla/pineapple swirl ice cream. Divine!!!
643655489_UzBw3-M.jpg

Oh, this is a thing of beauty. In a mere 4 days it will be mine, all mine!!!
:dance3:

:rotfl: I remember that "the girl with two heads" Love it!

It would be SO fun to live in the tree house! I recall seeing pictures somewhere of it on opening day (or close to) and it looks so different because of the growth of the natural vegetation over the years.

We haven't taken Henry yet! He will love those caves I'm sure! That might be a good December attraction since it will be away from the thick crowds a bit....

I am the same way with texting! :lmao: Sooooo slow. It would take me the entire time to do a joke, and would most likely have 838 typos in it!

Ice cream just slides right down the sides, so it doesn't matter if you are hungry or not - you can eat it! ;) (this is what my cousin told my Mom when she was about 5 years old, after she did not eat her dinner because she was "not hungry"!)

Oooh! I can't wait to see your tree house pics too!!

Great update! Believe it or not I have never had a dole whip... I really want to try one though.

Glad you guys enjoyed the treehouse. We haven't done that in ages.

You gotta try it! Soooo good. I preferred the pineapple/vanilla swirl with pineapple juice, over the straight pineapple/pineapple combo. You can also do just vanilla with the pineapple juice too.

This had me cracking up......out loud!!! Kids are hilarious!

~bree~

They are!!! I love how they pick up on one thing and stay with it forever! (well, maybe not "love" - sometimes it can get a tad tedious!). Henry's latest thing is that every single moving object has a broken tire. Either Handy Manny or Poppa can come fix it. :rotfl:

Boy I must say those Dole treats do look mighty tasty!! I havent had a dole whip in a long time and Ive never had what Joe was holding. It looks YUMMY:thumbsup2

I had never seen Joe's citrus swirl either, it was RIGHT up his alley. Very good (but I liked mine better :goodvibes)

I love Monsters Inc too! It's such a fun show, and the technology always amazes me! I can't wait to see my family's reaction to that and Turtle Talk in December - I hope one of them gets picked during Monsters Inc!!! ;)

And HURRAY for a ticker!!! :cheer2: Sorry, no trades. Our next ticker will look pretty close that though. After this trip, it's December 2010. Sigh.

Another update already! Hurray!

I'm an updating fool this week!!!! I figured you guys waited a loooong time between the last few, so I owe it to ya. I am going to do one right after this too. :yay:

I am with ya on the Dole Whip. So delish and refreshing in that HEAT.

:rotfl: about the gap in their Disney education! I like that. LOL Swiss Family Robinson is such a fun flick, I bet they will love it!

Oh my goodness, I just love Henry's hair! I'm so sad neither of my boys have red hair

We didn't get to to the treehouse when we were there, it was closed due to rain. It is definitely on my to-do list but I may have to watch the movie first.

Thank you!! We really love it too - I hope it stays with him as he grows up! His cousin's got more blonde, but Henry's has stayed very red so far. :thumbsup2

Bummer on the tree house! I would recommend seeing the movie first, it will make the tree house all the cooler.

Oh, this is a thing of beauty. In a mere 4 days it will be mine, all mine!!!
:dance3:

:rotfl: :yay: and you can eat two, one is for "the baby" ::yes:: ;)

Another update? you ask.

Oh yes my friends! ANOTHER ONE! :yay:

So, when I left off we had just visited the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House, removing our little precious Henry was a bit of a chore as he threw a fit on the way out. But 15 minutes of running back and forth was enough - it was time to go on a cruise through the jungle!!

643655414_sGEEz-M.jpg

643655407_nCLVP-M.jpg

Looking back at the tree house

Once again, no fastpass was necessary, the Jungle Cruise was literally a walk-on.

We had a young female as our captain. And holy smokes, she ROCKED! She was totally dead-pan, monotone, I was knee slapping and giggling the entire cruise. I love this ride!! This was only the second time I had ridden it, so I missed some of the jokes from last time - or she had a few of her own!

Sorry most of these pictures are slightly blurry. I need to play with the settings more to get better action shots.

643655310_CeS8J-M.jpg

Oh, no! Gorillas destroyed the camp!

643643574_zf3sK-M.jpg

Henry pointed out the truck...

643643381_pkd7B-M.jpg

643643339_7nbey-M.jpg

I love this scene for some reason!

"Here come the hippos, hungry, hungry hippos. If you are wearing white, don't make the sound of a marble."

643643279_4s58t-M.jpg

I laughed SO LOUD when she told that joke, I got stares from other passengers.

643643255_NfNFD-M.jpg

643643075_SsHeh-M.jpg

Can anyone guess what this is???? :confused3

;)

643643031_Tsj25-M.jpg

If you might recall from the last time we rode the Jungle Cruise, the cruise director GOT ME GOOD with the elephants, warning me they might spray. I felt like a d-o-r-k after that one. So as we entered the area with the elephants I looked at Joe and said "No matter what my instincts tell me, I am NOT ducking!" He just laughed at me.

Be proud, I stuck to my guns and didn't flinch....

BUT, half the boat did! I got a kick out of that! I'm not the only one to fall for that!!!! :dance3: :lmao:

643642627_snJNm-M.jpg

Not only do you get to see the backside of water on this update, but you also get to see the backside of an elephant!

After our most excellent cruise through the jungle we decided to cool off in the tikis because it was H-O-T!!

Henry loved this! I did too!
643642240_JGLiF-M.jpg

We didn't really have an agenda, so we wandered through Adventureland

643642091_hEwKM-M.jpg

643642006_YDi9D-M.jpg

Yes, we skipped Pirates!! I don't recall a line or anything, but we just skipped right over it.

and into Frontierland when Joe said something I never ever expected from him.

"I want to go on Splash."

WHAT?!

This guy does NOT like wet socks...not even a teensy bit we. And he wasn't wearing sandals that day.

I must have looked shocked because he proceeded to explain how hot he was, and how he actually WANTED to be wet.

So off he went, Henry and I hung out in the gift shop!

643641884_MRvRw-M.jpg

Big surprise, he found an item with wheels! ;)

643641755_NLTSa-M.jpg

This is what he carried around the gift shop with him for most the entire time we were there.

643641729_EmPDq-M.jpg

643641694_vR9oZ-M.jpg

I almost bought these for him.

643642938_Qv2wU-M.jpg

Light fixture love!

643641470_eNjp8-M.jpg

We found the train hat again. I love this hat. I have so many pictures of him wearing it, but he just won't keep it on for more than a few seconds.

Eventually we got tired of wandering around in there, so we went outside to people watch.

Henry was in a silly mood-he was making all sorts of noises and just being goofy! He lifted up his shirt a few times so I could tickle his belly and I noticed this:

643641418_TqEGb-M.jpg

:rotfl: a little Mickey Head confetti from this morning stuck to his tummy!

Since we were just hanging out there, waiting for Joe, and it was starting to get darker, I pulled out Henry's Mickey Spinner

643641477_X7i4P-M.jpg

Soon after Joe appeared again, not soaking wet, but just nicely damp. He loved it and felt great!

The park was getting close to closing time. I quickly ran over to BTMRR and rode - a great ride, as always! Joe opted not to baby swap on this, and instead we meandered toward the front.

643641348_TtY5p-M.jpg

643641336_Wtri9-M.jpg

We passed the Hall of Presidents, but there was a 20 minute wait until the next show. We had really wanted to see this since it just re-opened, but we didn't have time. It just didn't happen. Knowing we were going to be back in December helped us not be so bummed about it, and we just kept on movin'.

I wanted to go through Fantasyland to look at a gift shop there, the dump shop of Mickey's Philharmagic for boys clothing, but as we were walking that way, the park officially closed, MNSSHP was starting and we were not allowed to enter Fantasyland. I explained to the CM I just wanted to look at a gift shop, but it was a no-go.

So, no HoP, and no outfit for Henry! But, that's okay - we weren't going to let it get us down! We just followed the directions and sloooooowly left MK.

These balloons are more tolerable, aren't they MeMom?

As we left Joe said he wasn't ready to go back. It was 7:00 pm. So what to do?

Catch the monorail to Epcot!!! Sounds good to me!!

643640929_iNARY-M.jpg

Up next: That's one big plate of food...

"Here come the hippos, hungry, hungry hippos. If you are wearing white, don't make the sound of a marble."

:lmao: It took me a minute, but once I got this, I was cracking up!

Yes, we skipped Pirates!! I don't recall a line or anything, but we just skipped right over it.

:scared1:

Love this pic - oh how I miss little baby bellies! :goodvibes

Nothing is better than just catching the monorail after a leisurely afternoon at MK! This day sounds like total heaven.

We had that train hat on Luke a few times... but no buy either. I wish I had gotten the pirate mickey ears though.

Loved this update and how leisurely this day was for you!!! And loved the little mickey confetti on H's belly!! How cute!!!:cutie:

No, I've never eaten at Casey's before!!!:scared1: I know, the horror!! Next trip, I promise!!!!!:goodvibes

The backside of water and the backside of an elephant!!! :lmao: I feel so lucky!

Okay, I have never heard the hippo/marble comment -- that's hilarious, Brook!!!

I probably don't even have to say it, but I always love your balloon shots!!! :goodvibes

I think we need to ride the Jungle Cruise together! I love those kind of jokes....sometimes it even takes me a minute to get them, but then I laugh...and people give me the strangest looks. :lmao:

The set of the buses and the ride vehicles are too cool!

Henry looks sooo cute in the Train Engineer hat!

That is awesome that you are moving on to Epcot and not calling it a day!

This reminds me, I really should update my TR!:thumbsup2
