I'm sorry but I call posing under lights with various TLC "celebrities" for 6-7 hours work. It's not like they were taken to JCPenneys and asked to pose for pictures for a 1/2 hour. I'm sure there were several different sets, set-ups, and multiple poses. That is called modeling aka work.

They don't have a nanny. They'll never have a nanny.

I found this link, and I think it is too funny that while Ms. Glassman is professing her new found love of Jon, he is in the Hampton's with a new "young lady".....if I were Kate I would be beside myself with his stupidity.

I used to be on "Team Jon", but as of late it is hard to defend his actions. JMO!

A source tells Us Gosselin and Kate Major, who works for Star, have been in Southampton together for three days. When asked if they're dating, the insider says, "Not sure! She said they needed to get away."

has there been a schedule released? If there is, I haven't seen it (although I haven't looked too hard, LOL) ... so far, it doesn't seem like there's any sort of sense (no pun intended ) to what they're doing. Kate has them some days, Jon has them some days, they've worked some days .. it's very random, best as I can tell. At this point, I'm going to keep thinking that Jon is keeping up his end of the parenting schedule .. but won't be surprised at all when word comes out that he's not.

TLC’s hit reality TV show “Jon and Kate Plus 8” has been on hiatus for over a month due to Jon and Kate’s impending divorce. TLC has just released a sneak peek for fans of the upcoming episode which will air on August 3, 2009.

Kate Gosselin states in the clip, “It is not their fault that what has transpired has transpired…and it is my new attitude that I’m going to do things that I’ve never done before.”

Kate also stated, “My new attitude is I can do.”

Good for Kate!! She is going to come out of this a stronger and better person and most likely find that life without Jon is far less stressful.

Thanks for the welcome....personally I am not surprised by Jon taking it up with another young girl. He can blame his super early mid life crisis on "being controlled" by Kate, but right now I think he looks pretty stupid.

I cannot imagine the humilation the twins will go through when school starts again. If he thinks that kids will not tease and make fun of his girls, he is really oblivious to how kids act at that age.

At this point I would be pulling the plug on everything, but unfortuantely this isn't going to happen.

The issue hits newsstands Friday but an advance copy says both Jon and Kate Gosselin partiially ignored their children at a Manhattan photo shoot last weekend and the kids were forced to work until 9 p.m. posing for pictures.

The cable network TLC organized the shoot, which also feature stars from The Little People, another reality show.

Eyewitnesses told Us Magazine the children were visibly upset at the photo shoot, and on the long drive from Reading, Pa., to New York, Kate left the kids in a luxury van at a rest stop while she ran into Starbucks.

Ok....define "partially ignored" for me. I happen to do this (by my definition) many times throughout the day. I cannot listen to whining and fighting all day long nor the constant chatter of either of my kids. Call me a bad mom if you must - but I don't give them 100% of my full attention all day long. I guess I don't see what the huge issue is with that part. Now, if they were obviously ignoring the kids and they were fighting or someone was going to be hurt, then that's another story. To me, it's ok to ignore some whinning and endless "why" questions that seem to come from my kids. I would think it even more so "easy" to ignore them if it's not "your" day with them or they're asking you things you honestly can't/don't want to answer. Jon was also out with Hailey before or after the photo shoot so I'm sure Jon coming in smelling like her didn't help matters at all (I can just imagine Jon coming in smelling like some prefume factory to either cover up the "girl" smell or lipstick on his collar or something.....just to get Kate).

"Working" also needs to be defined....I make my kids stand for countless pictures too and don't pay them a cent. Now, it's not every day but I also don't have an agreement with a tv company that they're allowed to tape or photograph my kids. I also don't know what time of the day they started "working". I think I read in an article here that they got to the studio at like 2 right? (I could be confusing that with something else) So that's 7 hours. Now honestly I can't see them taking pictures of those kids for 7 hours straight either. I'm sure the kids had some "down time". What that consisted of I'm not really sure....I do think the kids are all old enough to stand for a few photographs though without whining and fussing (not saying they didn't do this by any means) but more than an hour or so IMO would be a bit much (I'm thinking maybe a couple of family pictures, just the girls, just the twins, just the boys, ect during the hour).

And wouldn't it be easier to have Kate leave the kids in the car with the two helpers that were with her instead of hauling 8 kids into Starbucks? It seems like they all go enough that she'd know what they all wanted by this point. It never says she didn't get them anything - it just says she ran in.....and they must have fancy rest stops up there because I have yet to see one with a Starbucks in it!

Sorry for the nitpicking today....I guess I'm overly grouchy or something! I truly hope the kids wound up having a good time and that it was nothing more than "regular" kid temper tantrums.

I've been quoted often as saying: "when you can talk to me in a normal voice, I'll be able to hear you" Honestly, DD rarely whines, but after a long day at school sometimes she brings it home -- and I really just tune it out, have no idea what she says to me sometimes.

Life & Style Weekly reports that things were cool and frosty between Jon and Kate Gosselin at their first face-to-face meeting last week after all those pictures and stories came out about his French vacation with his new gal pal.

“It was icier than the Arctic,” one onlooker who saw the two at their still-shared home in Wernersville, Pa., on July 16 told the mag. "The kids were clearly pleased to see their dad, but Kate wasn’t.”

Meanwhile, Jon tells the magazine that "I'd like to take the kids to see my new place, and to FAO Schwarz. They’ve been to New York City a bunch of times already, and they love it.”

By new place he means that pricey, two-bedroom apartment on New York's Upper West side that he just moved into. Where he'll probably be spending a lot of time with his 22-year-old girlfriend, Hailey Glassman.

And poor Jon. He's having a tough time finding a new place to hang out in the Big Apple. “It’s hard when everyone knows you,” he says. "I won't go to the Village, the East Village or Soho."

Ok Jon's still crying about everyone knowing who he is??? Seriously? I know I'm being picky today but really.....if you're on the cover of every magazine in the world - yeah people are going to know who you are! Stay home or be known for doing "good" things like your volunteer work or something like that instead of dating kids almost young enough to be your daughter.

It's funny he's quoted as saying that about NYC -- it sounds word for word like a statement supposedly made by TLC soon after the divorce announcement, ie where they wanted to take the show now

My mum was friends with a big folk singer who moved his family to NYC for the anonymity, as did many other musicians that he knew. With so many people walking down the street, people often don't notice who they're walking past. Heck, people like Jackie O., her son John and Jon Lennon were able to live there for a long time without a problem. But the paparazzi seem even worse now then when John Kennedy was living there.

Yes, that is work.

I was thinking about my wedding day and the photo session before the reception -- that was, what, just under an hour? That was exhausting. I had 3 flowergirls around the age of the tups and they didn't last very long. Even the junior usher, who was 10 at the time, was only required to be on duty for about 15 minutes.
