Good post! I was thinking the same things. I can't tell you the number of times a day I give the "right" answer to one the kids 15 million questions and thirty seconds later I can't even remember what they asked.

I'm also not buying the poor kids are working. The kids, especially Maddy and Cara, are old enough to understand that if they weren't on TV they wouldn't get to do as much stuff. My 6-year old wants to know why we can't be on TV. I didn't think the TLC thing was that bad for the kids, now the media circus that Jon's behavior has brought on is another thing.

Kate should try to break the Starbuck's addiction. I think she is using it was food replacement. On second thought, maybe I should try it.

Some things are more important than 'stuff'. Stuff does not buy happiness as has been painfully demonstrated beyond any reasonable doubt. Parents should not live off money their children make for them.

When I saw this speculated this morning, I thought no way. She is just someone he is doing interviews with or a friend...nothing more.

So...I was talking to DH tonight, and I just had to ask his opinion on this (not that he would ever do anything like that, but he does know alot of musicians -- he's away working right now, actually). And yes, I could just tell he was rolling his eyes over the phone -- probably because I had to fill him in a lot just to get his opinion, which was...

...Jon's trying to get out of his contract with TLC.

And yes, he admits men are often stupid, especially lead singers (DH is a drummer LOL), they get away with whatever they can at times, and they don't think about the consequences when they're on the prowl. But his point was: look at who he picked -- not somebody who wouldn't kiss and tell, not somebody that fans would approve of.

Oh, and he also agreed with me that it's always the kids who suffer when their parents screw up.

That's what I've been thinking too. If indeed he wants out of TLC, then what he's doing might do the trick, portraying himself as the anti-Jon from the show. Maybe his alledged deal with Ed Hardy is contingent on him losing J&K+8? Who knows. He's already moved to NY away from Kate and the kids. I don't know how much TLC will tolerate from their #1 rated family (ie Jon and Kate). People have said time again that there's no such thing as bad press. TLC may be loving all this but I guess time will tell by how many people continue to tune to the show.

I really think this may be the case. Either that or Kate agreed to a divorce but he had to make a jerk of himself so everyone would feel sorry for her, hate him and she could continue filming. Remember like on Frasier with Niles and Mel?! I guess jon will be speed dating for the next week and a half!

It is all so crazy. So, now he is supposed to be dating the reporter from STAR magazine? She didn't *mean* for this to happen? So they met 5 days ago and sparks flew? Yet, yesterday he was photographed on the playground all cuddled up and smiley with Hailey? Or was that the day before yesterday?

And now he is in the Hamptons with a girl he just met 5 days ago?

Yes, he could very well be trying to weasel his way out of his TLC contract and I've thought that all along with all the "rebelling" he was doing. I think they should let him out if that's what he wants. By golly, do NOT make him take the chance of passing on disease and smear his children's good names for the sake of trying to get out of the contract. Jon Gosselin is doing so much damage to his name, reputation and to his children right now that it isn't right. If he ever wakes up and realizes what his stupid moves have done to himself and his kids, he will have such huge regrets. Sad, very sad.

And why don;t these girls know of "being on the rebound"? Are they that fame hungry that they will do all this? Or are they that stupid to allow their hearts to be turned over to a man who doesn't even know who the heck he is anymore?

I just have to wonder if the girls aren't in on all this also. I think they may all know exactly what they doing.
What they may not know is that they look like cheap, stupid bimbos.

Oh and I'm sure when they say Jon is nice that Jon is very nice. I don't doubt Jon is a *nice* guy.

I've seen a similar pic, but I thought it was someone else in it .. not Jon. It could be him, it could be photoshopped for revenge .. who knows?

I've really started thinking that there is a TLC-Jon (the guy on the show) and a Just-Jon (the one that wears leather jackets and jewellry) -- it would be pretty hard to pretend you're something you're not for that long, really. Kate may not be the same person she used to be, but she seems to be really happy with who she became for the show.

I'm not sure where I read it now, but apparently TLC is having a big meeting with their advertisers to see if they can keep them on board -- must be some rumbling in the trenches. And I thought TLC was looking forward to him being in NY so that they could film him taking the kids to FAO Schwartz, etc. Wasn't there a story that said they offered to pay for the lease on an apt? Isn't it too convenient?

BTW, I zipped by the Ed Hardy site and I didn't see Jon's picture on there anymore. Maybe a little bit too much bad press?

You know, you may be on to something here -- it's not like we've ever seen a picture of him being really lovey-dovey with anyone but Kate. And if you're right, sure they'll look like bimbos but then they'll make lots of money selling their stories.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the possibility of STAR reporter playing up to Jon to get the big juicy scoop on everything.

If I were Kate, I'd be totally and completely losing my mind over the thought of every communication to Jon (from her, the lawyers, the kids) possibly being pillow talk with a reporter from STAR.

I'm new to posting here, but have enjoyed lurking on this thread.

One thing I've wondered. I know Jon wants off the show. But Jon also seems to love spending the money the show has made him. If he quits the show, where's he going to continue to get the money to keep up this lifestyle. I guess he may have invested well, and his money will continue to make money. But, in this economy and given that they haven't been rich for that many years, I'm not sure that is the case.

I realize noone else knows the answer, but just wondered what people's thoughts on this were.
