Jodi Arias Trial Part 2, starting with JM cross of JA

After watching the AC360 Special last night and JA's testimony this week, I got to thinking ... Could it be possible that maybe some of JA's accounts of what happened when she killed TA are technically true? ... For example:

1. JA said that after "she dropped the camera" TA started screaming and yelling at her -- maybe he actually started to scream at her after she stabbed him in the shower? ...

2. JA said that TA came at her like a "linebacker" and slammed her down -- maybe that was actually the only way he was able to position himself in order to get himself out of the shower after being stabbed and then rammed into her bringing her to ground? ...

3. JA said that after she fired the gun TA said "kill you b****" -- maybe he did say that at one point when she was stabbing him? ...

4. JA said she cut her finger on a glass "at work" -- maybe she actually cut her finger on the glass that was found by TA's body? - (even though her cut was probably caused by the knife while stabbing him) ...

There are probably even more examples that I haven't thought of or mentioned ... She is such a conniving psycho that I wouldn't put it past her to take some of things that actually happened and twist and incorporate them into her web of lies ... Just a thought ...

1) Happy anniversary UR and Jen! (So you know, I imagine you to look like UR in your avatar and imagine your wife to look like a country bumpkin like the lady in Pete's Dragon...the one who tries to get Pete...I know it's not true but it makes me laugh!)

2) TruTV (ex-court tv) is TERRIBLE with their "reality". I love Forensic Files and the Investigators..but they don't show much of that.

3) I thought the cup was found ON Travis?

4) On Dr. Drew, Monday, he will have previous friends of Jodi who *knew* something wasn't right about her. When I hear things like that, it makes me think these people just want their 5 minutes of fame.

LOL, well, you made both me and Jen laugh out loud with your imagined description of us. :lmao:

The cup was found under Travis when they moved his body, Det Flores wrote about it in his investigation report (on the first post of the thread).

And I totally agree with you, I'm kinda sick of hearing from everyone who knew Travis or Jodi. I wish someone would have a show that discussed trials seriously and calmly rather than this hyped up crap to promote their own shows.

Just finished watching the AC360 Special on CNN on JA with Beth K and Vinnie! It was great! :thumbsup2

Plan to watch Dateline but probably tomorrow.

That was really good. I'm not crazy about Vinnie, but that was a good synopsis of the trial so far. :thumbsup2

Very Plausible.

I think she thought she could stab him in the heart and he would die (which he would have eventually) but when he came out of the shower she had to do something else.
I do think she shot him as an afterthought to make it look like self defense.

Yeah, but remember she was going to get away with this crime, she wasn't even there so why would she pre-plan to shoot Travis to make it look like self defense.

I still think she shot him when he was sitting down in the shower and when he didn't drop dead, she panicked and started stabbing him while he was trying to get away from her and she didn't quit til she cut his throat.

I have been following the case over on Websleuths and watching trial on my days off from work.

I never thought I would get involved as much as I did with CA and Brad Cooper's trial. Its crazy.

JA puts a whole new meaning on lying. I have watched most of her testimoney through live footage or youtube and at this point, I have no idea if her name is really even Jodi, if you kwim. Its crazy how she goes back and forth, over and under and NEVER REALLY SAYS ANYTHING OR NEVER REALLY ANSWERS THE QUESTIONS. Its amazing.

I waiver back and forth but I really believe that he had no idea she was there and taking pictures. When he turned around and saw her, in the last picture, to me it seems like he is thinking *** why is she still here.

I wonder if he opened that shower door and was going to step out she stabbed in the heart, he stumbled out and possibly DID knock her down, he could have been disoriented as I image a person would be as he is going to the sink to possibly help himself, at which point she starts stabbing him in the back. Then he tries to get away, at which point in the hallway, she cut his throat. The gunshot would is the one I can't figure out why or when she did that. Other than, there were noises being made by TA and she thought he was still alive and shot him just to make sure she had finished the job. He could recognize her, would tell on her and that was not going to happen.

All I can figure out is that we will never know what actually happened. Jodi will never tell the truth. Well, she probably has dispersed small smidgens of truth throughout her testimony but real truth..never gonna happen. She would have to admit she killed him in cold blood, premeditated with the gas cans and all.

Good point. I don't know. We will never know. :(

I wondered that too. She had everything in the car. I have to wonder whether he thought she was gone.

That's what I've always thought too.

I agree. She lies so glibly that I can see where she makes some people think she is telling the truth - at least until they watch the other video interviews where she does the exact same thing with completely different stories.

The Dateline show was interesting. I didn't know that he was close to being moved into a different church "ward" (at age 31) where he would no longer be with the young twenty somethings who would be more likely to be what he wanted for a wife and that that put some immediacy in his permanent break up with Jodi.

I also didn't know that he had been meeting with his bishop concerning the activities he had been involved with with Jodi. Apparently, he was trying to "turn over a new leaf".

It makes me think that he had told her once and for all that it was over. She planned this trip (I suspect he didn't know she was coming) as his last chance. He just didn't know it. She may have said just one more time for old times sake (that she was on her way to see Ryan, and she was moving on too). He had no clue what was really happening.

Good Saturday morning. Some thoughts on the Specials on last night.

Ok so I ended up watching DATELINE. It was good but AC360 was much better.

Not sure which show said this but it was reported last night that the ME's report states that Travis was shot while someone was standing over him. (If I am getting this all correct). It is also reported that the shot was so close that that ONE shot HAD JA SHOT HIM FIRST would have killed him. JA shot him last. Travis was in the shower stall crunched up in a ball (possibly dead) when JA stood over him and shot him going in over his right eye and lodged in his left cheek.

Talk about 'overkill', my gawd.

OK, those scenes with JA in jail singing that XMAS carol. (In which I think it was BK that said she won some jail 'idol' contest.) She looked at total peace to me that I believe after watching this trial, so many specials on this trial and so many authorities discussing the murder that JA planned this for a long long long time.

JA was totally and beyond scorned. JA made the decision that if SHE cannot have him that NO ONE will have him EVEN if it means that she kill him and spend the rest of her life in jail and her peace will come because she knows that NO ONE will ever be with him EVER.

I mean piece that with her smugness on the stand and her boldness in some of the tv interviews where she proclaims her innocence. I mean that whole YOGA stretch in the police station. And her other postures with her knees crunched up on the chair as Det. Flores is talking to her. She is not remorseful at all.

She OVERSLEPT the morning after arriving at Ryan Burns, do you all remember her saying that she OVERSLEPT? Oh.my.gawd.

I mean to know that no guns can pass through Hoover Dam, who knows that unless you have done your research.

Premeditated.

Oh everyone, so where are we watching the trial on Monday??? All these changes with Tru Tv.

IDK, it just seems that it would be more likely, with the shower running he didn't hear her. The dog knew her, she put the gate up so the dog wouldn't go up there, etc. When did she do that? Before or after? All the shots are pretty much from the back or side with him NOT facing the camera. He thought he was alone. I think he was relaxing in the shower.

I agree. I did not know either of those things either. Which would make sense as to why finally, it was over. He had to break it off, he had to stop it somehow and be done with the whole thing. He finally had figured out what he wanted to have in the future. Ready to settle down kind of thing. Seems like many say he was a flirt and enjoyed being single at the point when he met JA. That may have been the catalyst for why THIS time was different than all the other times they 'broke up' or didn't want to continue the friends with benefits type relationship.

Just set the DVR for AC 360.

I wish we could expect to finally find out the whole story, but I dont' think that will ever happen :(

Are they replaying the trial synopsis that aired last night,if so what time?

Oh everyone, so where are we watching the trial on Monday??? All these changes with Tru Tv.

I have been just streaming it on my computer.

I have been just streaming it on my computer.

The problem with streaming (and I have been doing it with this trial) I get NO commentary from the IS gang. What I do (because I am in CALI) is stream it all morning and watch with everyone on the DIS.

The lunch break for them is 11am for me. So I get busy doing my morning errands.

At 12:30pm I put on IS and I can rewatch the morning session if I want and I can listen to the attorneys all discuss the trial.

Then I stream it again when they are back in session after lunch.

Anyway, like I said, I will miss everyone from BK to Mike and Jean and JJ and everyone that has been weighing in on this "MUCH TALKED ABOUT TRIAL" as the News is calling it.

It just boggles my mind why TRU would pull the plug on their programing of In Session NOW … ??? AND what to pump up their other STUPID RIDICULOUS shows. I do not know one person in my large circle of friends that watches TRU tv for anything other than TRIALS. Ugh.

I go do my work out at the lunch break. I wonder where these people that have been reporting go to? I guess they won't be on Nancy or any of the other ones either.:sad2:

I thought I saw a commercial/preview for an upcoming show on TruTV that will go over some other major trials that have happened recently.. One was a man that killed a boy that only had a basketball another was a woman scorned/love triangle and how she duped a lot of people. I was looking forward to watching it... :sad2:

I hate TruTV for this. I had never watched it until I somehow became obsessed with this trial. I love watching Beth and Jinkasaurus and Vinny and Mike. I also think I have a man crush on Joey Jackson. He is awesome. Just what we needed though, more horrific reality shows. I find those more brutal to watch than Travis' autopsy photos.
