Thanx Brian, anyone know if there is a video on how to actually USE DVC points in II to book something? The process seems incredibly complicated..

It is different, that's for sure.

You aren't just booking something. You are hoping to trade your points for some other person's timeshare. That requires that other person to also decide to trade what they own. Think of Interval as a big bartering house. Normally, the house takes a cut, but DVC members do not pay for exchanges. There aren't a ton of great values in Interval, but there are some. For example, I think some of the better Hawaii resorts are not half-bad deals for the DVC points they require. A few of the urban locations might be okay as well, but they are less common.

Have a look at the getaways section of the II site. You can get some amazing deals there, usually last-ish minute, but not always. Low season in Orlando you can easily get weeks for way less than owners pay in dues for that unit. The Marriot near DLP also have availability often. I have seen a few things near DLR as well.
