Just passed ROFR, fingers crossed Disney have their speedy pants on, as we're hoping to snag a trip in September with our bonus points if there's any resort availability left 🤣

On a side note, the title company and broker were fantastic, very responsive and prompt, can't recommend either enough.

Unfortunately for me, the sellers seem to be super slow getting the signed docs returned for closing. I had my docs and payment in on 6/26 and I haven’t gotten word from the title company yet that the sellers docs have been received. :sad:

Reach out to the closing company and ask why it's taking so long. If it's the seller being slow, the closing agent will let them know that you are getting antsy and pressure them to get on with it. It's also possible that there's another reason for the holdup.

I emailed them just before the long weekend. This was the response:

“Hello!

The sellers have not returned their documents just yet. They require notarization and witnesses so they take just a bit longer to complete but they have acknowledged them and they are working on getting those taken care of and returned 😊

Thank you,”

I guess I just need to be patient. I can’t be the only buyer in DVC history to have slow responding sellers, right?

Day 16 has ended for me with no points, sad! This thread is keeping me occupied while I wait lol.

For existing members: Did you receive an email or points just magically appeared when you refreshed your dashboard?

I need these points to book a missing night on an upcoming August trip so I’m medium-stressing as I watch availability dwindle further and further. Already gonna be a split stay and the trip is only three nights so bleh.
Can you book a cash room and cancel it if your points load?

Day 19 since the deed was recorded is coming to a close. I'm getting pretty antsy to get those points. Has anyone had their contract show up this week?

Next time you buy resale I would wait to wire money until sellers have returned their documents.

The closing date deadline on my original purchase contract was set at one month out. Is that standard or should I have insisted on shorter?

I think it’s pretty standard, but it also isn’t a binding date. My date was the beginning of August and we closed a week ago.
