That is how I thought it worked. One of the reporters on IS said that Arizona doesn't allow recross. I hope that isn't true!

Yes, he can not recross. But I believe Juan has poked enough holes in her story.

Oh, thank you or as my young hot latina wife and I say to each other, garcia. ;)

I was partnered for 20 years, she passed away in '99, then I was single for quite some time and then I met Jen here on the DIS. She's so wonderful and I'm so lucky. ::yes::

Congratulations on 2 blissful years!
I'm so happy you found love again. Enjoy your anniversary trip.

This needs to be over before May 20th, we are planning on being in Los Angeles
boarding the Wonder for a cruise and I cannot have this going on while I am on vacation. Last cruise we lucked out, they had the week off.

:flower3: Awww, you met her here? :disrocks: Congrats!!!

Out of all of this horrible stuff, it's so wonderful to read that! pixiedust:

We may be ready for a THIRD thread - Part 3!

My husband found a trial on you tube and Juan Martinez was the prosecutor.
He's exactly the same when he questions everyone, it made me laugh.
Anyway, this is also a story about a Mormon couple.
If you want to check it out, it was called "Dateline Fatal vision" on you tube.
We had watched it a couple years ago on Dateline, this husband was a piece of work.

I do believe I will have to step away from this trial for a while. Last night I had a dream (not the first of the kind) where I was trying to solve this crime and sort of went through EVERYTHING- I was friends with Jodi and Travis, then I was the cops then I was JM and the whole time, my ex kept popping up and I was trying to track him down (he has a history of lying to me and I was trying to catch him in a lie...but seriously, I wake up SO mad at him)..anyway, my ex kept going between being the killer and being dead Travis. I think I've put too much in my life on hold these past two weeks. I'll be checking in from time to time, but will probably not watch anything the defense has to say.

Basically what I'm saying is this: PEOPLE, I WILL HAVE WITHDRAWLS, MAKE SURE I'M FILLED IN!!!

Why I want to marry a Gold Digger
I have become renowned for being Single unfortunately. Most of my peers have been married for years and have several children. In 5 years I will be the same age as my grand mother when she first achieved that title. As you can imagine from friends and family a like I am constantly getting grilled and lectured over my solitary status. I have countless scouts that out of love and concern, diligently look underneath every rock and tree for a help mate to get me hitched to. Every time I speak somewhere in my introduction the host makes sure to comment, “By the way Ladies he is Single!!!” Followed by the token pity howls, given by those that were let in the room for free. I used to like it in fact. I used to imagine myself as some dangerously handsome tycoon in “Time” magazine as one of the worlds most eligible bachelors. I had a bit of a swagger because of it, a smirk on my face and a pep in my step. Then I turned 30. As I tend to do, I did a little soul searching and realized that I was lonely. A quote from David O McKay kept haunting me. “No success can compensate for failure in the home.” I was a different type of homeless, one with just as few legitimate excuses as the other type bumming for change at a freeway off ramp. Around then I realized it was time to adjust my priorities and date with marriage in mind. Not to ask some one on a date because I planned on marrying them, but to date someone to look for the possibility of marriage with them. This type of dating to me is like a very long job interview and can be exponentially more mentally taxing. Desperately trying to find out if my date has an axe murderer penned up inside of her and knowing she is wondering the same thing about me. That’s usually when I think myself into a panic and start acting weird in consequence to trying so hard to act normal.

That is the first part of the blog. Just thought it was interesting he mentions wondering if the date has an axe murdered penned up inside of her!:scared1:

The day of this blog, May 18, is when I think JA finally got the message TA was looking for a wife and it would not be her. Something happened between May 10 (the phone sex call) and the writing of this blog that made TA more than aware of what he was dealing with.

I, personally, IMHO don't think TA invited Jodi to Mesa on June 4th. It was a side trip planned 100% by Jodi in a last ditch effort to prove she WAS marriage material. Who else would go miles and miles out of their way for him?

There has been talk about her getting in to his email/myspace and possibly his bank accounts as well. I don't have the dates memorized but something happened in those 8 days that changed the whole dynamic of the relationship. JA, for some reason thought eventually TA would come around. This blog entry, IMHO, was her wake up call.

Agree completely.
I had not read the blog before and if I heard about it, I had forgotten. Wow. I think you are absolutely RIGHT. She finally saw it in black and white.....

Hey all....:)

I did not know a blog existed....WOW

IMHO...I have thought that he did not invite her or know she was coming over, but rather, she just turned up...preplanned attack ..just in case ..costumes and "fun" on her mind to lure him back in, to convince him, she was the one.........and he fell for the intimacies..but not her plan that they stay together....to his ultimate demise.

I am curious to see what the defense will do to try and remedy all the lies being brought out...and especially the point where JA SAID (I think accidentally) that her finger was hurt during the death fight..then took it back)
I am also curious to see what they do regarding the Blood not being on the bullet casing, ie sequence of events AND recall JA having a reason (aka another lie?)
And WHAT was in that backpack that was the first "fight" she mentioned....
And what are the JURY q's?????

I do Not believe there was a Rope, Nor a knife in the bedroom, Nor Travis owning a gun, Nor that she even went into the closet to grab a gun...
seriously, he came barreling in after her (as she said) and yet the bench in the middle is perfect, the clothes are perfect...and How did they get back out in that hallway...
and all the lies, the preplanned stuff...just Overbearing with preplanned overtones...
totally does not make ANY sense...just more fabrications IMHO

I believe that the Pros. experts will be the final nail ....

It's said that she and Travis would go at each other in their blogs too, like the text messages and emails.

It's interesting that the prosecution wanted to keep the emails and text messages out of the trial, but he's used them as well as the defense in explaining how they built up to this murder.

I found that interesting as well. My only thought, IMHO, is honestly they had a LOT of drama between them. I doubt seriously the battered woman thing but you have to admit, those text messages and phone calls don't paint either of them in a good light. Normal for sure. I didn't understand throughout the testimony I saw how some things, like butt grabbing and dirty talk on the phone was such a big deal or proved anything other than they were hormonally driven teenagers in a way. No matter the age, some relationships are just pretty passionate in the bedroom if you kwim.

I just think TA was sticking to his religion and the vows as best he could and at 30 was involved in something most of us experience in our teen/early 20's when it comes to sex. Its hard to think of a 30 yo man not having any experience in that department.

Hey Kelly...I think your comment about T being 30 and the inexperienced is so on point...IMHO....
.I think she really had one over on him, we know that she introduced quite a number of things to him...and this is what he got caught up in...it seemed to me that it all , their relationship as a whole was all about the intimate experiences and nothing more at all....he was growing spiritually and financially and emotionally and she was a leech....trying to grab on and be taken along on his ride...by whatever means she could...and sex was the lure for him..and he liked it.....the thing that he got caught up in...I believe he was just taken in by her and when he tried to ultimately extricate himself, she showed up again....tried to lure him in, in the guise of just ...friends having relations/sex and then he likely made it very clear there would be no more contact and she already planned the attack and went thru with it.
Its all so sad...............

Well quite frankly, I think he was pretty scummy in his own right with leading everyone to believe he was being stalked by a woman he was playing like a fiddle while portraying himself as a good Mormon man (and no, I don't think he was even trying as evidenced by his last play date with Jodi), but the theft of the .25 from Jodi's grandparents and death of Travis involving a .25 that can't be found is just too coincidental.

Oh good, thank you.

Thanks, crz, for posting Travis' blog.

I have been reading it.

Look what I found as I scanned through it and will be reading it all……….

2008 Affirmation
"This Year will be the Best year of my life. This is the year that will eclipse all others. I will earn more, learn more, travel more, serve more, love more, give more and be more than all the other years of my life combined. True other years now past have been at times magnificent but none like this. This is a year of metamorphosis, of growth and accomplishment that at previous was unimaginable. A year where the impossible become common place, and the unachievable become effortlessly achieved. Where I raise myself to heights only visited by the great men and women of this world and by so doing this year will be the best year of my life."

This cannot be further from the truth. :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:
