January 28, 2012-do you believe in MAGIC?

Only a handful of days left. :cool1:

We fly out on Thursday. Not sure if we'll do the parks on Friday or not. Might just go to Downtown Disney for some quick shopping, lunch and then maybe head to the port and just relax at the hotel there.

Has anyone organized a meet? I'm not too familiar with the cruise routines but it would be nice to get together!

Look forward to seeing everyone soon.
We're still planning to meet at 3:00 embarkation day in the Promenade Lounge, right?

Per a post above yours, it looks like there may be a meet at 3:00 on Saturday in the Promenade Lounge. Not sure if there is a full list of meets or not out there.

I haven't posted in a while, but I was so excited to see such an active thread of fellow cruisers on the same trip as me and my hubby! It's gonna be a great cruise!! We're headed down to FL on Friday afternoon (from NE Tennessee) so we'll be arriving very late and then driving over to the port the next morning. I've had what is pretty much the worst month of my life and I am SO ready to unplug and enjoy myself! :cheer2:

Actually you'll want to be on the Starboard (right) side of the ship as it sails out. The Port (left) side is the one that face NASA. All the restaurants and cams are on the right side of the ship. :thumbsup2

Thanks for catching that, I always get those mixed up!:confused3

Hey, looking for some info concerning using Dollar Car Rental. Months ago I got a good price and booked them. Last year I used Budget w/o any problems. But I'm starting to read about a few issues using Dollar.

Wondering if you can offer your opinions from using Dollar.

Thanks

Chris

I haven't used Dollar in years. Question though, are you looking at doing a one-way rental to the Port? I wasn't sure if they had a location out there. We've used both Avis and Budget (we prefer Avis and are using them this time). I have seen Hertz out there and Thrifty, but I remember reading about issue with Thrifty at the Port (i.e. not having cars or not in the size rented).

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Picking up Dollar at the airport and dropping off two days later at the port. I think thrifty and dollar are in the same place at the port.

One lady wrote in that they only use 1 shuttle compared to budget that uses 2. So your waiting time back to the port would be longer.

Might just go w/ Budget, even if it's a couple of bucks more because I had a decent experience with them last year.

Unless I hear from some people that they did fine w/ Dollar.

Thanks for the help.

Chris

Hi everyone!
Just wanted to share... We are in Orlando, we came a week early with family. The weather here is amazing. Cool evenings, but the days are between 74 to about 80 each day... Fabulous! When you see the group of 17 that will be us!

Can't believe tomorrow is our last day in Charlotte before we hit the road! We are SO excited! It seems like vacation will never get here then when it's right around the corner I don't have enough time to get ready! I need an assistant!

Safe travels everyone and we'll see you on the Magic!

We are getting ready to drop DD at friends for the night, DS to DGP and dogs to stay at neighbors. Oh, yeah, and we are headed to father in laws house to spend the night so that we can head to airport at 4 am for flight out of Asheville. Yippeeee!!! We'll be in Orlando tomorrow:cool1: Wish us well on the flight, the weather looks like it may be rough:worship: So, we'll see everybody on Saturday!!! Hope you have a safe journey!!!

Weather does look lousy. Looks like rain forecasted 40% of the time during the entire trip.

Hey everyone! Less than 24 hours! The weather is not very nice in Orlando today. We have been in Epcot since early this morning. We did the Segway Around the World tour. It was great but I did wipe out! :scared1: Fortunately, small scrap and bruised ego are all I have to show for it though! I rained for just a few minutes around noon but it has been windy all week! Hope everyone flying in has a smooth landing.

We are heading back to Epcot in a few minutes. I'm sad to leave WDW but excited for tomorrow! :cool1:

I can't believe a week ago we were floating on the high seas! I hope everyone enjoyed their cruise as much as we did!

Who booked their next cruise while on board? We booked for Feb 3, 2013 on the Dream. Can't wait!

Thank you all for the fun FE presents! I just love coming back to our cabin and finding such thoughtful little gifties!

I totally spaced out and missed the meet up the first day! But I am on facebook if you'd like to friend me! Shannon Redwing.

Until we meet again!

I can't believe it's already over!! We also booked our next cruise onboard - February 16th 2013, 7-night Western Carib. on the Fantasy. We even convinced my parents and my husband's parents to come along! My parents NEVER travel and I'm completely pumped that they agreed to come, because I know they will love cruising.

What was everyone's favorite part of the cruise?

Thanks to everyone for all of the wonderful FE gifts, we had a great time!!! So sad to be home (not sad to see DD and DS, who we suprised with a Capt Mickey), but we booked the Repo cruise for May 20, 2013. I miss the ship, especially when we had to get food at the aiport yesterday! The key to the world card should work everywhere! Thanks again!

We booked a first anniversary cruise out of Galveston! 8 nights on the Magic. It's so nice to have something else to look forward to coming home. I had so many favorite things. The rain forest room, I won 5 times at bingo! and the "Behind the Scenes" seminars were great. Oh, and getting married was nice too. ;) We had a ton of fun with the FE. We still haven't completely unpacked. DH is still on leave so we are still in vacation mode!

Tell us about your wedding! Was it on Castaway Cay? Congratulations!:bride:
