So we are leaving next Thursday and heading to my grandparents for a few days then heading down to WDW on Sunday the 22nd. So for the long weekend we headed up to Houston!
We're going to have 2 1/2 days to get ready and pack. I still have to put together my FE gifts, sort a TON of clean laundry, get stripes sewn on DFHs uniform, get the car serviced, take down the Christmas tree (yes, I am that much of a procrastinator).

Oh wow! What a week it has been, and now to top it off, my DS5 is really sick! Coughing so much! DH took him to the doctor this morning. Breathing treatments several times a day, antibiotics, steroids and cough meds! Lot for a 5 year old! The doctor is trying to get him well fast, told him about our upcoming trip and the cruise. Hopefully the baby will not get it from him. I pray he doesn't.

Saints are playing!! Hoping for a win!! We were on a cruise the last time they won a Superbowl two years ago!

I am very excited about the cruise!! It doesn't matter that it is #12 in 10 years!! Still as excited as I was the first time!

Going to shop for FE gifts tomorrow!!

Looks like the cruise is sold out....kinda bummin was hoping to upgrade. I tend to think the carribean is getting more action as people are afraid to book the MR....

Hi! Thanks for the well wishes for my son. He is back at school and on the way to a well recovery now. The baby, however, has came down with a terrible cough. He has a well baby visit today anyway, so at least, I can get him checked out too before we leave this weekend.

we have started packing!! Not really putting it in the bags, but getting it all together. I hope we have no visitors between now and Sunday that aren't family bc they will think we are crazy with all the piles sitting around the house eveywhere

It's hard to pack for two weeks for 4 people. I know in FL it will be cool in the mornings and evenings, so we have to take a pretty broard range of clothes.

I'm leaving in the morning! Tomorrow is about 15 hours of driving to get to norther FL to stay with family for two days then first thing Sunday about 5 hours down to WDW! We should be there before noon. I have way too much packed and I don't feel like I am at all prepared! Ok, I have to print a bunch of stuff out then put together the rest of my FE gifts! See you all soon!

To all of you joining the cruise in about 1 week - may you all be healthy and vibrant - ready to join the fun!!! We are excited (a bit nervous)...can't wait to get on board and get this thing started. Hope that all of your ailments subside and that the weather turns out warm and sunny (better than the -1 deg F it is now). I can feel the warm Carribean sun on me now!!! AAAAHHHHHHHH....

When I got the cruise documents in the mail, it started to feel real. Now, it's so close, it's starting to feel SURREAL.

I packed up my box of FE stuff tonight, and am mailing it to the ship tomorrow. Our suitcases are packed. Now it's just the small stuff...the stuff I always botch up somehow.

I'm a little nervous about mailing the FE stuff ahead, but everything I've read on the boards says that the box will be waiting in the room for us when we arrive. Is anyone else shipping a box ahead?

Trying to decide whether or not to contact Shirley for a basket. Is it too late for that? I'd decided against it, but am now second guessing myself...

It would be fun, we have 2 beagles. On a disturbing note, I went and bought new suitcases and when I brought them in, I got the "look" from the dogs. You know, the where are you going now and why are you leaving me look. I will get the whiny treatment for the next week! DGM is coming to stay with them and kids, so don't feel too sorry for them, way better than a kennel, DGM spoils them with treats.

I have never mailed things ahead, but was wondering how that would work. Is anybody else having problems with what to pack for clothes? I guess that I will pack like I did for the LA to Vancouver trip, clothes for warm and cool. We leave in a week!!!Can't wait!!!

Hello! We are all packed except for a few last minute items and travel documents. Our foyer looks like a luggage storage area! We have 5 really big bags, and another small carry on, also a car seat bag, diaper bag, computer bag..should I go on?? I know it's too much...but you know with kids...you seem to pack to much for the "what ifs" that may happen.

We are flying down on Sunday...so ready and so is DS5. He's at MeMe's right now...so I am getting a much needed break from his question of "Momma- how many more days?" We have a calendar and we have been marking the days off for a month, but for some reason he still ask me about every hour

Just watched the Magic leave PC via webcam.......ahhhhhh......that will be us in a week! We picked out a spot to stand on deck 10 to wave at the camera for DS8. We are leaving on Friday and can't wait!!!

On the port side of the ship, probably between the 2 "smoke" stacks is the best place, from what I have observed. You can watch the Dream sail out on Thursday at 5 pm to get an idea of where to stand. The camera is at a restuarant called Fish Lips and it seems to be located where the ship turns after leaving the dock to head out to sea. I hope this makes sense! I have promised DS8 that we would be there waving at him for the camera.

Actually you'll want to be on the Starboard (right) side of the ship as it sails out. The Port (left) side is the one that face NASA. All the restaurants and cams are on the right side of the ship.
