Is there a way to check to see if a park hopper pass has an unused day? We went in 2002 & for some reason it seems like we had to leave early for the airport the last day, but I can't remember for sure if we went to the parks on that day.

We had the same situation with park hoppers from 2002. The only way to check is when you are in DW. We went to guest relations at MK and they scanned our passes. There is no way to do it before you get there. Sorry.

To reduce the aftermarket in previously used (and non-transferable) passes, Disney has eliminated the option of getting this information over the telephone.

The only way to get this info is when you are present at Disney in Florida.

Actually, that policy has changed. I was able just 2 weeks ago to check how many unused days were available on my tickets over the phone. They were only able to check 3 tickets at a time, so if you have more, you will have to call back. It used to be that you could only do it at the park but now there is a dedicated number to call to check tickets. I don't have that specific number, but I started just calling the regualr 407-WDISNEY and asked the person and she gave me the number. If you get a CM who tells you it can't be done, def call back and speak to someone else- it absolutely can be done over the phone now. Sooooo much easier than having to wait until you get there!

HTH!

Actually, that policy has changed.

I expect CheshireFigment will drop by soon enough to assure us that the policy has not, in fact, changed. I find it peculiar that there are several Dis-members who assure us that this can be done through a "special" telephone or fax number -- but nobody ever has that "special" telephone or fax number available.

1) Yes, there is still a phone number to use to verify tickets.
2) But, it is not circulated to the public.
3) So, to answer your question, you can check only
. . . at a park Guest Services window
. . . at the DTD Guest Services counter
. . . at a resort Guest Services / Concierge counter

If I am trying to track down a lost ticket, can that only be done at a park ticket window (not DTD or resort desk?). Thanks :goodvibes

What I find peculiar is that someone would be rude in a post aimed at someone who is altruistically trying to help and has correct information- I didn't dream my experience of 2 wks ago. I have a busy life with small children and not all the time in the world to be on hold at Disney, but b/c of this post, I took it upon myself to do exactly what I said and call 407-WDISNEY to get the top secret "special" number. This is the number that I was also able to get 2 weeks ago by just mentioning to a reservation CM that I wasn't sure that I needed tickets b/c I had all these old ones. I had these same tickets a year ago and asked and they told me only at WDW, so this does seem to be a change. Doesn't seem to be a hidden number or not avl to the public- this CM knew exactly what I was talking about and had the number at hand.

Anyway, the number is (407)566-4985 and they will gladly help you. They are only open Mon-Fri and like I said, will only check 3 at a time. To the poster who mentioned the lost tickets, I would try there as well to see if they can help.

Hope they are able to help both of you with ticket issues!

Thanks for the phone number. I'm calling tomorrow.

We're headed down in August, but have always bought 10-day, parkhopper, no expiration passes. They are a great deal, once you get past the initial purchase price. We've got 3 park days planned, but can't remember if we've used 7 or 8-days on the passes. I would just as soon postpone the 10-day parkhopper purchase until the next trip (or better yet, schedule 2 trips within 12 months and get an AP!).

Thank you.

ryrysmom14, you're seeing severe skepticism because this is a major departure from what we've been told here on the DIS for the past few years..

We've been thru this exact situation more than once in recent memory only to discover (in the past) that number was for castmembers and/or travel professionals only (or something like that) and that the general public should not be calling it.

Hopefully what you post is in fact a change in policy which would make this easier for everyone ...

Thanks for understanding,

Knox

Thank you, Knox for your reply. I was feeling a little attacked for something that seemed so innocent and completely true! I was also very surprised by the change b/c I knew that you had to do it at WDW. When I spoke to the person at the "special" number, she was more than happy to help and only mentioned the ticket limit. I was thrilled and wanted to spread the "wealth" so to speak.

I'm beginning to believe this may mark a change in policy because the number you are calling is the general WDW Ticket Information number... a number that is available to the general public but whose responders have refused to do this in the past! ;)

Just wanted to add to press option #2 after calling the number. Had to call Disney for Pirate and Princess tix earlier and spoke to a CM and he confirmed that yes, in fact, it is a change in policy and you can get the ticket info from that number and option #2. I remember I had to wait a loooooooong time- like 20 mins to speak to someone. So glad I only had 3 tix to check!

THANK YOU :thumbsup2 for the update!!!!

Sincerely - it is appreciated.

just wanted to tell you the # works perfectly. my call was answered within 5 minutes.

they just tell you it is a courtesy & since they can't actually see the ticket they can't verify it, like they could on their scanner machine.

thank YOU!!!!!!!

( i bet they get a ton of calls today..)

I'm glad it worked for you....so much easier than waiting until you get down there! I bet they are going to get lotsa calls today also- God knows you can accumulate lots of old tickets with random days left on them.

it bums me out that I threw away 5 tickets from our first trip in 1996 that had unused days on them - I didn't know you could use them again!!

And I also called today. I was able to confirm that I had 3 days left on my pass.

The CM did say that:

1. It's not guaranteed unless the ticket is actually presented (makes sense to me).
2. That we should write down on the back of the ticket when we leave (you can have it scanned on exit to confirm how many days you have).
3. They may not be able to offer this service in the future (just like they haven't in the past).

But good news for me and my family. We needed 3 days for August. And there were 3 days left. I always like to buy 10-day, park hopper, no expiration tickets because of the low cost/day. But it's a big financial layout up front.
