I'm venting here - we have a super casual work environment and the guy I'm talking about has also become a really good friend. However, he's about to drive me nuts. (not just at work, but when we do stuff outside of work too)

Whenever something comes up about a female, his first response is always "was she hot?" or if anyone is talking about something he's "where there any hot chicks there?" and on and on. It drives me NUTS. I've made a couple remarks to him but I don't think he takes it seriously. My final straw today was I was looking at the obituaries (don't ask, I check daily just in case) and he points to a girl in there and says "that sucks, she was hot".

AAARRRGHHHH. He doesn't mean anything by it, but for some reason it just irks the crap out of me when he says it. Any snappy comebacks appreciated. ;)

He sounds quite immature - and insensitive at that.

I have known men like that - but ignored them. I don't know of a snappy comeback that would penetrate this one. I think I would just tell him how inappropriate such remarks are.

Yes, unfortunately. (or should that be my comeback) ;)

and Rokkitsci, you're right - very immature for 28.

I have a coworker like that too ... He does the same thing because we have televisions and he'll point out girls that are "hot" (ie. big chests) and other girls who aren't (small chests)... He'll even single out another one of my younger coworkers and ask her about swimsuits and Victoria Secret. :sad2: It's pretty obvious he had a crush on her but all I can do is

Sounds like he's been watching too much Paris Hilton in Simple Life... maybe because he thinks, "She's hot..." ???

Just out of curiousity...do you like this guy? I mean, you know, LIKE him, like him? :teeth:

I'm thinking Mal may have hit on something there. ;)

I would just respond with "yeah, too bad she's out of your league." Every single time he says "she's hot" or "is she hot?"

Now that's cold!!! :teeth:

LOL
Honestly, I prob would have liked him in my younger days, I was always attracted to the immature. :smooth:
Now that I'm an old fuddy duddy I just find him irritating. :)

I think it's a guy thing....

Besides, you're reading obits. We all have our anomalies. ;)

Oh, you could answer him.... "No she's more like lukewarm."

If you want to shock the guy, next time he says "She's Hot" Agree with him and wait. I think it would at least stun him... :earsboy:

It sounds like it's something he's gotten into the habit of saying and now can't stop himself. First I'd tell him to cut it out and then I'd tease him EVERY time he said it, "I don't know; IS she hot?" and maybe that would make him realize how very often he's saying it.

99% of the time when my husband talks about a woman ( co-worker, cashier, stranger on the street, doesn't really matter) he will say " She wanted me". I have 2 standard responses 1) Don't they all? 0r 2) She can have you!

Irritating, yes, but men think they are hilarious with that stuff.
