Is Rock 'n' Roller Coaster really that bad?

I love it, but then again, I've always loved rides (the faster, steeper, spinnier, the better!). Anyway, I think it is pretty smooth and if you don't like it, close your eyes. It will be over quickly and I guarrantee you will still be alive.:)

I don't like roller coasters - generally - but I love RnR.

I have ridden Everest twice; once on each trip. I don't like it, and when my family rides it three and four times in a row - I go get a coffee or shop.

RnR is an exception; I will ride it repeatedly. =)

IMO, I don't see how you can get bruises on this ride. Yes, your head may move a little bit but not too bad. I even rode in the back a couple of times and no problem. I'm someone that bruises easily too and not one mark.:confused3

However, I did notice that some people didn't pull the overhead harness down all that tight. When I rode, I pulled it in very tightly-this seemed to keep my head from moving as much also.

Well today I road the Revenge of the Mummy at Universal Orlando and it goes 0 to 50 in 3 seconds so I think that will help me with the take off in RnR. I had my eyes closed the whole time though in the Mummy but I'll ride it again..It's helping me get my courage up for my birthday trip to Disney.

You will be fine. I was in a car accident in my late teens that caused such severe whiplash I passed out. Then about 10 years later I was rear ended and all my old injuries resurfaced. I was in PT and still am. I still have neck pain on occassion. That being said I rode RnRC no problem. It is nothing like whiplash. You are snug in a little seat that is so cozy and secure you will have no problems with your neck finding support. But I will add this....DO NOT GO ON THE TEACUPS!!! There is no neck support and my kids swung me around so hard my neck inguries resurfaced and I had a headach the rest of the day. But that was the only ride in all of WDW that caused my neck pain.

Thanks for the advice.:) I avoid the Teacups anyway. For some reason, as I've gotten older I still like coasters and such, but can't stand spinning rides. Loved them as a kid, not so much now!

Now to convice one of my kids to ride with me.

RNR is my fav Disney ride. I love Aerosmith big time and the launch, music and loops are awesome. The whole time i am smiling and singing. Going on a solo trip next week and can't wait to use the single rider line to get my fix!

Well I got close to riding it today and then chickened out!!! Now that I'm sitting here though I wish I would have just ridden it. I've decided I'm definitely riding it in 2 weeks when we go back for my birthday.

Call me crazy but after watching my husband ride Rip Ride Rockit today at Universal I want to ride it. I figure if I want to ride it then RnR should be a breeze...

I think Space Mountain is rougher than RnRc. The upside down part is so fast and smoothe, it doesn't bother me. Of course, I'll try everything once. But really, I'd do this one again. In fact, I always do it with my son.

I have riden it twice. I have no memory of corkscrews or inversions or upside down. The ride is less than a minute and a half. First time I got off, I said it didn't need to be any longer!

Given the chance, I would ride it again. But the ride is too short too be worth the long wait in line.

When we went down last time R&R was in refurbishment, I know DH really wants to ride this, but I don't know how I'll do. I use to be a "thrill junkie" but last time on Space Mtn--didn't really like it. Hope it's different this time.

The "not knowing what's going on" feeling is similar to Expedition Everest when you go backward, and you can't really tell if you're going right, left, up down, or upside down. It's pretty short, so if you start and realize you do NOT want to be riding this ride, it will be over before you know it. In my opinion, Tower of Terror is scarier, mostly because of the anticipation, but also because of the drops. I say go for it, it's one of my favorites.:rockband:
