Important:USF is making a 3rd Park!!

Yes, there is a third park in the the works for Universal Orlando...

psst... Just don't expect it to open for another 8-10 years or so. ;)

I'm sure it will be totally awesome.
Based on the progress of the last ten years, it will max out all of your senses and make even Spidey look like a kiddy attraction. The top-of-the-line computers used today in business and entertainment will look like the old 386's next to what will be available then. You think a Pentium 1.8GHz is awesome, try a 18,000GHz (what is a 1,000 GHz anyway  ) I just hope I'm still healthy enough to be able to handle everything they will throw at you.

by the way, who is your brother? They have been telling new hires about the the new site, and how they are going to expand.

i *think* that 1000 GHz = 1 UHz (Ultra). dont quote me on that, as i am not 100% certain

Yeah it's been well know for a long time that Universal would build it's 3rd park. They wanted at least 3 hotels before they even planned the 3rd park. They have 3 now and I am hearing 1 more then construction on the 3rd park will begin.

For all of you who don't know Universal bought 1800 acres from Lockheed Martin off of International Drive and Sand Lake Rd which is where the 3rd park will go.

I'm not thrilled about another park. Why? Because it spreads everything out too much. Take Disney for example. Wanna hit the thrill rides? You gotta visit 4 parks to do it. Fine for people spending a week, but for locals, it adds up to alot of walking.

IOA is the thrill ride park, and they're already diluting it by putting the Mummy coaster at USF. Now this new park shows up, and they put a coaster there. That means to do a thrill ride tour, you gotta hit 3 parks. IOA is the best because all the rides are in 1 place.

It would be cool if they made a Harry Potter ride

It will be cool when they make a Harry Potter ride. I have no doubt in my mind that we will see the fruition of Universal Creatives labors in 7-10 years.

Well you can't fit all the thrills under 1 park, Universal needs more parks, besides to compete with Disney they need another park.

I would love to see a Hogworts Castle built by Universal! It would finally shut those Disney people up. :) I could see a hole park built on the worlds of Harry Potter and LOTR. There is so much to work with there.

The new park would be "BookWorld". All of the attractions and lands could be based on literature sources. Suess Landing and Jurassic Park would have would have worked there too.

As long as it's
"Not A Zoo"
Please, Universal doesn't need a zoo. BGT and AK take care of that just fine.
I want it to be a thrill ride park with new coasters and drop rides. All or nothing, but not DCA. Don't put watered down thrill rides in there and claim they are. Won't work.
You either build full length coasters that are state of the art new technology. Or you make it a kiddie park. Trust me, make it a thrill ride park. Don't compete with Disney for the toddlers. Go for the adults and give us thrill rides.

I'm thinking the new park is going to be big on fantasy. Kinda like the Magic Kingdoms Fantasyland but to the ninth degree and with much better content.

You guys.. your heads are in the clouds. A third park will not be built for a long time. It would be ridiculously expensive (duh, it's a theme park) and Universal just doesnt have the money right now. The attendance at the current parks, although good, does not warrant a third park in any way.

Besides, the word is not even out yet on IOA. Call up your aunt in Idaho and ask her what Islands of Adventure is, and I bet you she has never heard of the place.

And you can't just keep building theme parks in orlando. As much as you dont want to beleive it, there is a saturation point. There comes a time when there is just not enough people visiting to operate another park. There is already 8 or 9 parks in the area- thats enough for now.

All of us who live in the area would love to see another park built.. yeah. But most families only go on a theme park vacation once or twice in their life. People have not experienced parks like IOA and DAK for the first time.
