Greetings from Aruba. Some comments:
The Cheerleading event was today, and thankfully, busloads of the little creatures are heading to the airports. Hurray!
I thought being slender and attractive was a prerequisite to being a Cheerleader; I guess in the 20 years since high school the standards have slipped.
Don't trust the weather reports! This morning on the CBR in room TV the local news channel had a weather report that was the bleakest I've ever seen: torrential rains, hail, darkness, and severe winds. "Stay indoors" was his advice. Today was 82 degrees and perfectly sunny. One of the best Floridian days we've ever had, and we've been down here plenty.
I don't like the new food court. Those LCD menus are sexy but confusing. The payment lines are too long, and the shelf space for the trays is too short. Now that there aren't any registers at the individual counters, Disney has a reason for only 1 up-front person at lunchtime. It took 20 minutes to get a turkey sandwich today.
The rooms are great. We take for granted the little things now after being at CBR for so many years, but the under-bed storage for all the luggage, the refrigerator space, and the 'hide the crib next to the sink and behind the curtain' trick keeps the 2 year old asleep while the 4 year old watches TV.
The Disney bedtime stories on channel 14 are great.
Those Sony TV's with the input jacks on the front are great. Our folding travel DVD player is a great friend at naptime.
Last, and not least, the best upgrade at the CBR is......drum roll please.......the industrial strength toilets! If you've got a small chlld, you may want to strap him to the doorknob before you flush. The suction is amazing
If you're coming to CBR and have any questions.....ask away!
BJ
