We just got home on Tuesday night... I'm still trying to get my bearings!! A 2 week vacation will do that!

We're having a hard time posting with my boyfriend's iPhone. Ironically mine works better down here than home, so I switched to posting from my blackberry (sans camera!). I'll have lots of pictures when I get back!

Don't forget to write some notes on your dinners at Napa Rose and Brennan's. Those are the only place we have made ressies for. Have a great time!!!

Oh No! How frustrating!

We made up a lot of time in the air, so we only wound up being about an hour delayed (it was closer to an hour and 45 minutes!) Plus I got a JetBlue credit from it, not bad!

I was kind of excited when I discovered that I could tweet from my phone. It was a lot easier than constantly asking for my boyfriend to do it! Plus it was actually going through! I can understand why people in SoCal complain about AT&T service!

Sorry everyone! I know I said I would start it last night, but I couldn't get the internet to work at the hotel! Going to start now!

I think that going to Disney is the only time I willingly set my alarm for 3am. We were like zombies on the way to the airport. Our flight was for 6am, luckily we live close enough that it only takes us 15 minutes to get to the airport. Our flight from Rochester to JFK was uneventful (how I like 'em!) But when we got to JFK, our flight was delayed by an hour and 40 minutes! We already had almost a 2 hour layover, so we weren't thrilled with that...we lucked out because we made up enough time in the air that we were less than an hour behind schedule when we arrived at Long Beach!

So Long Beach airport is like a Caribbean airport. You arrived and there were stairs that pulled up to your plane, no real gates! I haven't done that for a few years! Baggage claim was outside too, which made us giggle since there's no way that would ever work here...there'd be snow piled up over the claim.

We found Super Shuttle and they were waiting for us. I really liked Super Shuttle. It was very easy to find them and they were on time both departing the airport and arriving (even with the delayed flight, so thumbs up there.)

By the time we made it to the Hojo, it was almost 3, so we checked in and our room was ready! We booked a king room that was highway facing, used the Disboards rate and it averaged to $100/night, not too shabby. The room we wound up getting was in building 2, but it faced what I kept calling the "quiet pool." So it faced towards the inward part of the complex, not towards the highway! We decided to unpack and relax a bit before heading over towards DTD and dinner.

I really liked the Hojo. It was clean and spacious, which is all I really require from a hotel anyway. The staff was very friendly and I couldn't get over how short of a walk it was to Disneyland! The best way I can describe it for all the WDW Vets is that it was like being in the Ranchos section of Coronado Springs and walking to the Pepper Market. That would take you to about the pedestrian crosswalk, where you see the "Disneyland Resort" sign! And from that sign to the main gate was like getting dropped off by bus at Epcot. In other words, totally manageable and do-able! Awesome.

We finally meandered towards Downtown Disney...and that's when I started getting out my camera!

You walk through Downtown Disney to get to the Disneyland Hotel:

I had read (or someone told me here...) about some of the neat stuff in the lobby of the Disneyland Hotel, so we decided to check it out. It was really cool to see some of the old photos, especially of the famous people who visited!
