We bought an adapter to use regular CO2 tanks with our Sodastream. Picked up a food grade 5 lb. tank, and haven't looked back. Last tank I got 175 liter bottles carbonated.
I didn't want to pay shipping. There are a bunch of stores on my way home from work that do exchanges, I just have to remember to do it sometime. We have a ton of bottles of Polar seltzer now, so it's not been urgent.

Bubly key lime pie and LeCroix lemoncello are my "this tastes like a dessert" favorites. I usually buy Klarbrunn sparkling water when it's in stock at Costco. $7.99 for 30 cans, half lemon, half lime.
Well as a diabetic I am very careful to make sure there is no sugar OR artificial sweeteners in what I buy. Sugar for obvious reasons, and my Doctor recommends no artificial sweeteners either, and Clear has aspartame which a long with Stevia really tears up my stomach.
Not a user myself, but a family member had been using Waterloo, till their favorite flavor was dropped by the store. Now they moved on to Polar orange vanilla.
I like Polar as well especially the blueberry lemonade when they are on sale. I also like the store brand (Bowl and Basket - Shoprite) flavored seltzer. Not the sweetened ones, just the regular seltzer - Ginger, Black Cherry, Lemon Lime, Cherry Limeade, Orange, Cherry Vanilla - pretty much all of them are good).
My favorite brand is Polar, probably because they have the most flavor option. I tend to only buy them when they have a good sale though. I have about 20 bottles in my basement from a few weeks ago when they were .50 cents.
I typically buy whatever is cheapest, which is usually ShopRite’s bowl and basket or Stop and shop brand. I typically buy orange, black cherry, ginger, mint(ShopRite) and coconut. Love trying all the different Polar flavors. The only flavor I haven’t really liked is Pineapple and a few of the winter ones this year like something with brown sugar.
DH usually gets me Waterloo from Costco but I'm pretty certain Kroger's store brand is Waterloo...just based on a number of the flavors. Bubly and LaCroix have a few flavors that I really enjoy (pineapple, coconut, plum, passionfruit) but I can't usually justify the price.

That's kind of what I'm getting at. I'm pretty sure that Kroger brand is Waterloo. I mean, we know Kroger isn't manufacturing their own water so it's one of those big brands sell offs with Kroger labeling. There's a lot of overlap between Kroger and Waterloo flavors and I've done a few side by side comparisons where they taste identical.
