There is nothing you want to discuss you just want to tell us and the rest of the world how wrong being homosexual is and that most homosexuals are pedophiles and siners. No matter what people would tell you no matter if tomorrow scientists would find a 100 percent proof that there is a "homosexual gen" you still would think that being homosexual is wrong. So what does this make you? At least it makes you a homophobe.

Yes, homosexuality is immoral and wrong. So are other sins. God loves us all anyway but He wants what is best for us, which He does by guiding us lovingly with His Word (which includes clear rules on sexual relations).

As long as people like you try to shout down and engage in name calling and label everyone who opposes your case and agenda as hateful, it is very difficult to have an honest exchange. But people like you are never interested in that anyway.

I just found this thread today, and when I get a chance, I'll read through what others have posted.

What I don't understand is how a Christian church official is going to say that Homosexuality is okay when the bible states that it is an abomination, marriage is between one woman and one man, and fornication is a sin. Is this person choosing to ignore those parts of the bible? I can completely understand embracing homosexuality if you do not believe the Bible is the word of God. But if you do, AND you are a church official, how can this be?

I just got off the phone with my bf, as we were saying good night to eachother. We even said "I love you." Yes, you heard it here first. Two men...loving eachother. Now, during the time when we said those three words to eachother, how was your life affected by that? Because, isn't it true that you believe my and millions of relationships like mine, are a detriment to society and to the foundation that is the "straight relationship" and traditional form of marriage.

And quit throwing the Bible at us like it's a weapon. It's clear the words you think God are saying are different than what I think. and who's to say who is right and who is wrong?

Do you read your Bible with the careful scruitiny that you've read the above posts? If so, it explains much.

BTW- I'm still waiting to know what you think about the Bible's teachings on slavery, concubinage, leverite marriage, celibacy, etc. Do you own your wife? Keep women for sexual gratifaction? Use other male relatives to produce an heir? Never spill your seed so as to be fruitful, being open to life at all times? What does your pastor think about these Biblical allowances?
