I shouldnt be suprised at this point...

Why do some people insist on reincarnating themselves? Can their lives be that boring?

Yes, they can.

Read his posts. Do you think, for even one minute, that he has any real friends? There might be one or two others online who share his views, but no one he's ever met in person.

It takes a big man to run around the internet, shoving jesus down people's throats, but when he's called on it by someone who will MAKE him put up or shut up in person, suddenly he becomes very quiet.

He's good for a laugh, however.

If there IS a god, and if there is any justice in the universe, then he's in for a long eternity fetching cold drinks and pool towels for all the gay people in heaven.

How are you so sure?

Do you keep Kosher?

Do you believe in remaining a virgin until marriage?

Do you believe in giving up all your material possessions to follow Jesus?

All of those things are in the Bible.

discernment, Joe, et. al.

Why do you keep responding to the same jokes instead of the serious questions?

I posted quite lengthily earlier. Neither of you responded.

I posted again.

Nothing.

Someone makes a wisecrack, you repsond immediately.

You're not helping your cause by responding to what you pick and choose and never answering the questions or acknowledging the points of others. If you are trying to prove people wrong, you have to respond to their points.

DISCLAIMER:
My preceeding post contained no bitterness, and only a slight bit of sarcasm.

proof? As usual when some calls you on your outlandish claims and asks for tangible irrefutable proof you suddenly clam up and go back to your usual name calling.

or is this the usual hot air and hyperbole you usually spew around the sites you post on.

But i better be careful or you will challenge me to another boxing match or wish death upon me.

JoeEpcotRocks and discernment,

I just got off the phone with my bf, as we were saying good night to eachother. We even said "I love you." Yes, you heard it here first. Two men...loving eachother. Now, during the time when we said those three words to eachother, how was your life affected by that? Because, isn't it true that you believe my and millions of relationships like mine, are a detriment to society and to the foundation that is the "straight relationship" and traditional form of marriage.

And quit throwing the Bible at us like it's a weapon. It's clear the words you think God are saying are different than what I think. and who's to say who is right and who is wrong?

Isn't it time you found something better to do than worry about how I live my life?

Man, I wish I had nothing to do in life but to condemn others.

All people can love each other. God gave us strict rules regarding sexual relations, though. Yes, I believe your behavior is a detriment to society. What I think God is saying?? Too funny. He wrote a huge book just to confuse us?? God is perfect.

You have a right to think my behavior is a detriment, as I believe your views are. And how exactly is my lifestyle a 'detriment.' And please don't use the words "gay agenda" in your post. I also disagree with you when you say God wrote the Bible. Also, please answer my question as to how my lifestyle directly affects and hinders your marriage (if you are married), or the straight, traditional form of marriage.

So what about two gay people in a committed, loving relationship who don't have sex? Are they sinners?

I'd also like to know, specifically, what it is about homosexual behavior that is a detriment to society.

Which is it???

You don't know nothing VB?

or

VB, remember that time when we went round and round before?

Face it, the three of us know the things you have spilled in your hissy fits elsewhere and your spin today will not change that.

ncdisneyfan answered this earlier. Read through his/her posts and you will find it.

As well as the things you have spilled in your fits of anger, crying, and whining.

But hopefully we have all moved past that and grown from that experience. But if you want to hold something against me that happened long ago then so be it. VB is just posting on this to antagonize me.

Either way its your choice. Hold grudges or move past them.

I had almost forgotten some of that stuff.

Almost.

Interesting....

So, discernment? I wrote you a big long post just a couple of pages back. Surely you intend to reply. I've been so looking forward to it.

That would be too easy. There is no challenge in that.

I am posting on this because you are wrong. You have always been wrong on this subject, and as long as you continue to use your belief in The Imaginary Person In The Clouds to discriminate against ANY group of people, you will continue to be wrong.

And I shall be happy to remind you of that particular fact of life.

Your Questions:
Which translation?
All translactions are the same, but use synonyms or slight changes in wording that to not effect the message or meaning. The "translation" issue is a phony excuse for those who do not wish to follow God's Word.

How are you so sure?
I've read them, our pastors read them, millions of Christians read them for hundreds of years. The translations are the same. Read for yourself. If you find something -- ask me.

Do you keep Kosher?
Not required, Jesus made all foods clean.

Do you believe in remaining a virgin until marriage?
Yes, that is God's way.

Do you believe in giving up all your material possessions to follow Jesus?
This is not required either. Mark 10:29-30 is not a command to give up everything. Jesus is saying that if anyone did give up everything, they would be compensated a hundredfold. Even the apostles had possessions. Jesus' Mom, Dad, and brothers and sisters had possessions. Jesus had a treasury (maintained by Judas). You can't be a blessing if you have nothing. You can't tithe and offer to God if you have nothing. You can't be a sower, if you have nothing to sow. There is no vow of poverty. Jesus said we would be blessed in all things (not just spiritual).

Joe, Discernment, obviously some people on this thread don't care for listening to the Bible. They treat it like the Dems treat Fox news, or how you treat the liberal media. If everyone in this thread was Christian, it might be a different story because everybody would be on the same page. This case is not true here. Since neither side can bring up evidence that will keep the other side appeased, this is a never ending debate. Live and let live. If you won't hear it from the people you believe are the heathens, hear it from one of the "non-heathens". I don't mean this to be rude, just getting a point across.

I don't see you (collective) out there going against Divorce, lieing, waving signs saying the premaritel sex will send you to hell, and theft. Answer this question straight, did your body convulse every time a gay couple holds hands. I think this is the only way it would affect you. If the answer is no, then this conversation is moot. And yes, your posts come out as hate filled, even if you do it unintentionally. I am sorry I have to tell you this, but hopefully you will get the idea. You are not doing any good trying to get your point across. You are using a source, that while you and I believe is true, not everyone does. That makes your point pointless in many eyes. :guilty:

So according to this argument, people who are born into poverty are screwed, right?

Spilled what? I'm not pretending to be anything but a person who has zero respect for you.

A grudge is something in the past. You went on calling gays liars again just yesterday IIRC.

You mean the post about the APA and NARTH?

There is nothing more to be said on it. The APA caved in 1973 to gay activist groups and changed their position. The other organizations have been lobbied heavily by homosexual political action groups as well.

You do realize though that some members of NARTH are also part of the APA.

Much the same way gay activists targeted Dr. Laura when she started to speak out against homosexuality. Its easier for some groups to cave to the gay agenda than listen to claims of homophobia and being hate-filled if they refuse.

Nice tactics. But they are working.

It's nice that jesus made all foods clean..To bad Kosher laws are not just about *clean* and unclean...If all versions of the bible are the same then why does the Torah say *grave* where the OT says Hell and why does the Torah say *accuser* or *Scourge* where the OT says devil? These changes mean huge theological differences between Jews and Christaans
