How much is your cell phone plan and who is it with?

We have Virgin mobile. We are each on monthly plans, but can cancel if we need to. I pay $45 a month for unlimited web, texting and 1500 minutes a month. I barely ever come close to my allotted minutes for the month. I text way more than I talk. LOL!!

DS has a Virgin mobile phone and we pay $26 a month for his. Still unlimited text and web, but only 300 minutes a month.

Another good thing about Page Plus is they use Verizon's network, so if VZW has great coverage where you live, so shall Page Plus...

For anyone checking, you have to look at Verizon's pre-paid coverage, it is a little different than the contract phone coverage.
I have never had a cell contract and until my recent switch to PP, I always used VZ pre-paid. I have never had an issue with coverage or dropped calls, but there have been areas where I was "roaming".

I despise the phone, so I picked up a pay-as-you-go plan from Virgin Mobile. I just have to pay a minimum of $20 per every 90 days.

Me too, I think I paid maybe $15 for the phone on sale at Target. My DH has a Sprint plan but when he couldn't get reception in Lake Placid one weekend I could still get it on my cheapo phone.

I have a BFF who has 3 I-phones for her family of 3 and she says that I'm an old fuddy duddy because I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars a month on phones. Of course she is always on the verge of bankruptcy and can't pay her bills but she told me that data phones are a necessity not a luxury when I suggested getting rid of them to fix her budget problems :confused3.

Yeah, one evening I was counseling a near homeless family and she was trying to convince me that her smart phone was something I needed to get.:(

This is true, as the coverage with VZW Prepaid and Page Plus is called "native Verizon towers" in cell phone industry parlance.

For postpaid customers, VZW will roam with similar carriers in those rare areas where there are no Verizon towers (Bowling Green and Elizabethtown, KY immediately come to mind).

I have never had a cell contract and until my recent switch to PP, I always used VZ pre-paid. I have never had an issue with coverage or dropped calls, but there have been areas where I was "roaming".

As VZW is one of the two domaint, "legacy" carriers in the St. Louis market, I imagine coverage would be excellent, all over (same for New Jersey as VZW's towers in that state date back to the Bell Atlantic Mobile days...

Ours is about $280 a month with Verizon.
We have 2 iPhones with unlimited data (not for much longer :furious: ), 1 phone with a small $10 a month data plan, and 2 dumb phones with no data plan.

I've looked at Sprint and AT&T but AT&T wasn't any cheaper and Sprint has significantly inferior coverage.

We have ATT with unlimited web (grandfathered in), 2500 minutes and unlimited text and international roaming for about $220-$270 a month depending on how much we use it overseas since we travel to S. America and Europe a lot.

I do think Verizon is better in the Charlotte area. We live in Charlotte and have Sprint and it is ok. DH has Sprint through work and is up for a new phone. I have encouraged him to switch to Verizon.

T Mobile family plan - 5 phones, two or three have insurance. Three have internet. Unlimited text, free t mobile to t mobile, 5 favorites for each line and 1000 shared minutes (which we never go over). I also get the 15% discount because of AAA. My bill I believe is about $265 a month.

Three phones all with data plans, unlimited texting 700 shared minutes, $196 a month or close to it. Verizon service.

We just dropped Sprint and went with Page Plus. :thumbsup2

It has only been a week, but so far our reception is TONS better on Page Plus and no dropped calls! ( Note- they do not offer 4LTE and customer service is minimal.)

I have a Droid 3 on the $55.00 per month plan. Unlimited calls and text, 2 gb data.

One basic phone on $80.00/2000 minutes that can last up to a year.

One phone to be placed on the 12.00 per month plan. 250 minutes/250 text/MMS* messages/10 MB of Data. This phone will mostly be a wi-fi use only phone.

This is the same cost I was paying to Sprint for 3 simple non data use phones. Of course I no longer have free roaming or free Sprint to Sprint but I really did not use those features all that much anyway.

I love being able to choose the plan to fit each members lifestyle and not having to pay for a data plan on a phone we don't use for data!

ATTENTION OTHER PAGE PLUS USERS- How well does your phone work at Disney, do you have to roam there, and do you use any Disney apps?

We have Sprint & love it. I have an iPhone 4S & DH has the Galaxy 3 or whatever it's called.

Unlimited everything for $126/month. DH does get a discount.

We've been with them for years & never had issues. Service isn't the full 5 bars in all places, but I've never had a dropped call. I'm visiting my family in NY & it's near the Canadian border & they've never gave me issues when getting roaming charges dropped. On the other hand, my sister was just on the phone with Verizon today fighting to get the roaming dropped. She also found out they discontinued the unlimited data. If you were grandfathered in & upgrade to a new phone, you lose the unlimited data. Also, my brother has a droid (with Verizon) & complains about dropped calls.

The unlimited data to me is worth it. Because of school & work I can't always get things done on the computer. The customer service rep says I use about 5gb/month which is more than double the average user. BUT when I get use my lunch break to get small assignments done or send progress reports to parents, I'm able to spend more time with my family when I get home.

We had Sprint when we moved here 6 years ago. At that time, the Sprint coverage was good in most of the area, but there were some dead spots, including the neighborhood where we bought a house. :)

We've had Verizon since then and had no problems at all. I would assume Sprint has improved in the last 6 years, but I now a few people with it and they seem to get a lot of dropped calls.

I have verizon with unlimited data and 450 minutes for $60 including all taxes. I used to pay another 20 for unlimited texting but then learned you can get texting free with a data plan if you just download a text app

Until you get some confirmation from a PP user in the WDW area, maybe this will help.

Seems Verizon's closest tower is very close to the WDW resort -- with that said, I imagine VZW users are getting 4 bars (as should Page Plus customers).

Just under $130/month with all applicable taxes and whatnot. That is for two Galaxy S phones with Verizon, unlimited data (for now), the lowest amount of monthly talk minutes and the smallest text package. (We mostly use Google Talk for texting unless it's something where time is a factor, because occasionally Google will randomly decide not to deliver a message for hours.)

We have Virgin Mobile. Three Smartphones with Unlimited Data and Text and 300 talk min for $35 each.

We used to have Sprint and since Virgin uses the same towers, it was a no brainer to switch.

With taxes each line is $37 a month...just checked my last autopay.
