How much is your cell phone plan and who is it with?

More than it did yesterday as my husband just ordered the new iphone5 which caused us to get rid of free unlimited data. I think we pay about $230 with Verizon for 3 phones with data and 1 basic phone with no data. Our new play consists of 6 gb of data with unlimited everything I think.

Looking for a cheaper plan but not really wanting to buy a new phone for the prepaid deals and they do not get well reception where we live and help is much appreciated Thanks

If you want to save money, the best way is to lower your minutes on the plan, remove features (texting plans) that you don't need, or buy a smaller data package.

The most important thing to look for is the coverage. IF you buy a different plan with another company, and it doesn't work where you need the phone to work, then it's not a bargain. I have a cousin who bought a new android phone with a great unlimited plan, but it doesn't work at her house and it doesn't work where she works. So it's really not a bargain after all because she's not able to use it in an unlimited way like she expected (she thought she could get rid of her home phone and internet, but she can't)

We have 4 phones on our Verizon plan: 1400 minutes, unlimited mobile to mobile, 10 favorite numbers where the minutes don't count, unlimited texting (2 smartphones with unlimited data, 2 dumb phones with no data plan) and we pay $235/mo after the taxes and fees are added on.

DH and I both have iPhones with Verizon and we share 700 minutes, I have 250 texts and DH has 500 texts plus free M2M texting each month, and I have unlimited data and DH has 2GB data for $145 per month including taxes.

With iMessage on the iPhones all of my texts to other iPhones on iOS 5 are sent via data and not SMS. This has saved considerably.

I really don't want to give up my unlimited data as I stream a lot at work (Pandora, Spotify, etc) but I know one day I will have to. The new Share Everything plans might work well for us.

My BF and I both have Sprint. We are on a grandfathered plan. We both have Smartphones with : 500 minutes each, unlimited data, free unlimited mobile to mobile (this is any carrier!), free nights and weekends. We pay $108 each month for the both of us ($54 each) including taxes and insurance.

Thanks to the unlimited mobile to mobile we rarely use any of our actual monthly minutes. It seems everyone has cell service nowadays :)

Wife is on Telus $55 for 6gb, my10 and 300minutes unlimited text CID/VM
We are getting rid of our home phone this week...

Take a look at ting.com and click on plans at the top of the page. You can see what your usage is and get an estimate of cost.

I started using this and now my husband is adding his phone this weekend. I have not had any issues with dropped calls, etc.

The best part is, we set our plan as the lowest possible. If we use more, they just bump you up to the next tier in that category (text, data, minutes)...not charging you an arm and leg for overage.

Unfortunately, we did have to purchase new phones.

This might not be for everyone, but it is perfect for us and our phone usage.
