Honda HRV or Kia Soul?

Well I can't speak for the Honda as I have never driven one but I can tell you that for the Kia Soul it DOES work like it is supposed to when you leave it on all the time. No loss of power at all.

Having to remember do I turn it on or off and then remember to do the opposite at the right time would drive me up the wall and definitely make me a distracted driver. That is probably why I also don't drive a stick.
I don't use it at all. Whenever I drive, it is off. DH uses it all the time, though.

Tomorrow my husband is going to go with me to test drive the HRV and the Soul. I'm really leaning toward the HRV, but my only concern is the road noise I heard the other day when driving it. I'll probably get one or the other tomorrow.

BREAKING NEWS. KIA has best quality of any brand according to JD POWER report just released..

That survey is for the first 90 days of ownership. It's meaningful, but not even close to being the total story.

If the road noise is the only issue, and it's not due to the actual road surface, research the tires. Honda, in spite of their own quality standards, doesn't put the best tires on their cars. I noticed a huge difference in both mileage and noise when I replaced the worn out originals on my CR-V with good quality Michelins. Of course, it's not fair to compare noise levels between worn tires and brand new ones, but that doesn't mean the tires couldn't be the problem.

As the owner of a 29 and a 51 year old car agree. Okay, I HAVE had the 29 year old car 29 years, but I have only had the 51 year old car for 8 months.

And anymore, almost any brand of car will go 10 years without repairs. The real test is when you get in the 10 to 20 year age range.

I went with the HRV. I think I'll definitely miss some things about driving a minivan, but so far, I really like this new ride. Thanks for all the help!
