Trip Report (Completed 10/17) Treat Yo'Self - an Aug 2025 TR to Disneyland Paris

We walked through the arcade there on the side of Main Street and "discovered" a shortcut into Frontierland - instead of turning right at the exit to the arcade, there's a pathway to the left:

And it takes you right into Frontierland! Not sure how I've missed this before but it was super convenient, cause we were basically right there at Phantom Manor!
That walkway is a great way to avoid the crowds and we probably use it more often than walking down Main Street, at least first thing in the morning anyway.

You may not know this but it carries on past Frontierland, through Adventureland (with a small gap) and eventually ends just by the exit to Peter Pan, all covered so perfect for getting deeper into the park when it is raining.

Following along . Looking forward to reading more. I am hoping to get there next year but not sure yet

We tend to use it later in the day, but absolutely - so helpful!

I have used that path! I don't know that my mind connected it with this path but it's kind of the same path you use for the fireworks viewing right? I didn't know that that it went deep into Fantasyland - that's awesome! I'll haev to check it out next time we're there (hahaha)

Rope Drop - Sunday Aug 24, 2025 (part 1)

Our last day! No sleeping in today - with my train leaving at 1 pm, the Disney Express people said to make sure we had the bags to Bell Services at our hotel by 8 am to make sure they were over to the train station in time. We got up at 7, finished packing, and by 7:50 we had dropped our bags at Bell Services and were ready to head into the parks! The parks opened at 8:30 for the extra magic hours, so we figured we'd get breakfast on the way and rope drop Studios (Web Slingers!).

It was a bit chilly as we walked through Disney Village, and then we realized that nothing in Disney Village opened for breakfast until 8 am (booooo). So we split up - Trevor went to McDonald's to get us egg mcmuffins and I went to Studios to get our spot at the turnstiles. I got lucky - first in line!

Trevor showed up at about 8:15 (McDonald's is apparently slow first thing) - yay breakfast!

Also, selfie:

They let us in at 8:25 (so 5 min ahead of time) and while we were heading towards Avengers Campus, most people were heading to Crush's Coaster. And guys - they were full on SPRINTING over there. Not half running, not faking it, just full on sprinting, and the CMs were just waving and laughing. Disney Paris is such an interesting place, not gonna lie. We were not sprinting, but then we were heading to Web Slingers not Crush's Coaster. We were basically the only ones heading that way, so we ended up being the first ones in line. I was hoping they'd have us skip the pre-show but no, still the pre-show. There were a few other folks in there with us, but mostly empty.

There is some great theming in this room, I'm just over it. :)

But finally, on the ride!

We did quite well! I was yellow, Trevor was purple:
PXL_20250824_064059582.jpg

We got the best score of the day!! Which is less impressive when you realize we're literally the first ride of the day... :D Also I want to point out that the person who beat me (red) had some of the extra toys/whatever that help your score. I'm not competitive at all!

But the cool part was that as we got off (at 8:42) there wasn't really a line so I asked if we could ride again and they let us!! Didn't even have to do the pre-show again. :D

It was just us two on the ride this time, so we didn't do as well, but we still did pretty good for just the two of us:

I was yello, Trevor was red:

We got 9th of the day! Brilliant. :D

The Pearlies - Sunday Aug 24, 2025 (part 2)

Better picture of our awesomeness:

Weirdly enough when we got off our 9th of the day wasn't on the board but our first "best of the day" was still there (but in #2 slot now) so we took a picture. :)

Next up we were planning to do Flight Force, but it was closed (sadly). So we decided to go ride Tower of Terror instead.

I know I do this every time but guys- the theming in the lobby, I love it.

They were also doing the pre-show, but the CM was having a ball with it - he was doing all the sound effects and then at the scary part, he grabbed me and I totally screamed. It was hilarious - Trevor was laughing a lot. :D Definitely a good start!

On the ride we got the same sequence we got before (where the little girl is trying to be helpful and get you back) which was a tiny bit of a bummer but still fun.

At this point it was 9:08 am, and extra magic hours ended at 9:30am. There was a Mary Poppins music show thing over at Disneyland at 9:40 am, and we didn't want to get caught in the crush of regular guests trying to enter at 9:30, so our plan was to enter Disneyland before extra magic hours ended. With it being 9:10, time to head over to Disneyland!

As we exited though we saw the Wasp out meeting:

Over at Disneyland, we made it in by 9:18 - plenty of time! Though as tends to be the case, we did choose the wrong line. Oops! Mickey was out waving to people from the train station, in his Music Festival costume:
zIMG_3344.JPG

We went over to the gazebo to wait for Mary Poppins! We got to see the horsedrawn wagon out and about:

And just a little bit before 9:40, out came Mary and Bert and the Pearlies! This was such a cute little show - they played a bunch of songs from Mary Poppins and Mary Poppins Returns and Mary and Bert were dancing around the whole time.

We had a much better view for this one than for Rapunzel the other day! I really enjoyed it and couldn't help singing along.

Not my best selfie but what can you do. :)

All right, now we just had rides to ride! First up, Hyperspace Mountain!

Goodbye! - Sunday Aug 24, 2025 (part 3)

Hyperspace Mountain is so much fun:
zIMG_3374.JPG

Next up, since we were right there, we rode Star Tours. Trevor loves it - no one knows why. :D We got Jakku, and then ruins, and then the red salt planet, ending in Galaxy's Edge. But guys, it wasn't Naboo! It's always Naboo, so that was super exciting. We were not the rebel spy, but oh well. :)

Then, Big Thunder!
PXL_20250824_085145167.jpg
We got row 13 - front row of the last car, which is pretty good.
zIMG_3382.JPG
Honestly who doesn't love this Big Thunder? It's so good.

Next up, Pirates! We were blitzing all the rides. :D

Trevor thought this selfie was funny so I'm including it for you. :D

We got the back row again but we weren't sad about it.

We got off just a bit after 11:30, so we had just enough time to head over to Studios to look in the Remy giftshop. They didn't have anything I wanted but they did have chocolate covered strawberries and crepes in the booths there, so we got that. :)

After eating, it was time to head to the train station. I was flying home out of Paris while Trevor was heading back to Germany, so I was taking the high speed train to the airport while Trevor was taking the regular train back into Paris to catch the train back to Germany.

We got our bags from the Disney Express and then had about 10 minutes before I could go down to the platform for my train, so we were sitting in the waiting room when I was checking my flight and saw that they had a United Polaris upgrade for $847 for a 9 hour flight, and after the drama I had getting out here, I decided to go for it. Yay! Trevor is such an enabler.

Then it was time to head down to the platform.

Waving goodbye to Trevor.

Me on the platform. :)

The train ride from Disney to CDG is 10 minutes and super easy - highly recommend. It was a bit of a hassle to then get over to the right terminal after getting off the train, but still not bad. I got all checked in, and did my tax refund, and then through security, I was free to head over to the lounge! Having lounge access was super nice - I got some food, and was able to take a shower and freshen up a bit.

The flight back home was delightful - I got some good rest and just enjoyed having the extra space and being able to lay down, and before I knew it, I was home!

It was a very quick trip, but it was a lot of fun. We got to ride our favorite rides and have some yummy meals and just enjoyed each other's company. I'm so glad we could go!

Only one haul picture! :)

Fun with Metrics:

Ride count: 7 (Web Slingers x2, Tower of Terror, Hyperspace Mountain, Star Tours, Big Thunder Mountain, Pirates of the Carribbean)
