Holiday Story Tellers?

I have been waiting for years to be able to experience the holiday story tellers at EPCOT. Well, I will finally have the chance this year to see them! My question is, since I only have one chance of seeing them, which ones are a MUST and which ones should I skip if I can't fit them all in? I teach third grade and for the past couple of years we have taught our students about the different cultural holiday celebrations. I am trying to take video of each storyteller but I don't think I will be able to catch each one being that I will only have one day to do this. I know I want to try to catch these: Germany, Italy, United Kingdom, Canada, Mexico, and America.
What about China, Japan, and Moracco?

"The Monkey King" is alot of fun, don't miss this one! I don't remember what the storyteller in Morroco did, so it must not have left much of an impression! Being a Christian, I was a bit offended by the performance in Japan. I guess you could just decide for yourself, whether or not that would offend you.

Out of the one's you've mentioned, they are all good choices. :) The lady in Italy is hilarious, and the best IMHO. Mexico has the 3 kings, which are great. If I remember correctly, the others were some version of Santa, but with different traditions. Also, don't forget France. Enjoy! This was our favorite thing about the holiday season. :) Can't wait to see it Christmas week! :hyper:

Which country has The Monkey King? Also, what about Japan offended you? I'd just like to know in advance in case I need to explain something to my kids.

There's a little sign posted at each country with a very short description of their holiday traditions. Here's the sign that briefly describes the Monkey King story, from China:

Thanks, that sounds really cool. I'm so excited. I've wanted to "do" Christmas at Disney forever!

"The Monkey King" is in China. The performer we saw in Japan was fairly over the top pushing their beliefs (Buddha). I felt it had a very anti-Christ undertone. On a side note, all the other countries had a whimsical feeling, which was great!

From what I understood, the storytellers come out in succession (sp?). On allearsnet it says start in Mexico, then move on to each country and they come out one after another as you move around. Is that no longer the case? We only have one day for this also, so I'd really like to fit in as much as we can!

Hi, where can I find this information?

Thanks,

I enjoyed them all but my favorites were The Monkey King (China), La Befana (Italy), Pere Noel (France), Father Christmas (UK) and Taarji (Morocco).

I'm a Christian and I didn't find any of their stories or traditions to be offensive. I like to learn about others cultures and beliefs. I may not believe in it myself but I still find it interesting. :)
