HOJO and Lorealle

I wish this thread had remained on the original discussion area, it does seem people are not seeing this thread, and there might be someone from there that knows what happened. In any event, it's pretty clear, now that more time has passed, that Lorealle isn't around on these boards anymore. :(

That's a valid point about this thread being moved. Lorealle was a great source of planning material. The absence of her and recent changes noted in this thread speak a lot about customer service at Hojo or the lack there of. Something many people consider when planning trips.

I most definitely agree. And I do not doubt that it has much if not everything to do with the various recent changes to the company. She may very well had been demoted, or even all together let go.

This is what I'm afraid of.....but maybe we are all wrong, maybe she finished school and decided to take a much deserved and needed loooooong vacation so she's away. I hope that's the case, either way she's definitely missed!! Jonathon is nice but he doesn't have the same feeling Lorealle always exuded. :)

I have an uneasy feeling that we are not being told the whole story from the Hojo Anaheim management.

It is extremely out of character, IMHO, for Lorealle to be MIA for such a long period of time. I am a member of her FB page and there has been no activity form her or on her behalf for a few weeks. That, and the fact that there is now someone (or something, lol) called 'HojoElf' answering questions on the Hojo discussion boards instead of Lorealle just confuses me more. :sad2:

I sincerely hope that she is OK, and is maybe just taking a well earned break. It might seem a bit strange that I could be concerned about the welfare of a lady I've never even met in person, just interacted with electronically, but to myself and I'm sure many, many more happy Hojo customers she is more than a hotel employee, she is a friend.:grouphug:

Wherever you are Lorealle, take care of yourself and please let us know you are doing alright. :flower3:

I saw that new name as well on their 'discussion boards' and was wondering if Lorealle is really no longer there and this person now being called HoJoElf, is her replacement OR is it possibly Lorealle's new name on their 'boards'?

That new username popped up right around the time Lorealle seems to have gone missing …. ??? :confused3

I sent her an email via Ho Jo's Innsider site. So far, no reply. Still none either regarding my email that I sent to the contact us link on the hotels website. I can call again.... I was going to last Tuesday, as was suggested, however, I was quite rather hoping to have heard back by now, either from her, or Howard Johnson.

Yes........... this HOJO Elf seems to be alive and well. And a one HO JO Gm that posts as well. Probably one in the same.

Well that bites it big time! It seems like Lorealle is MIA, and wherever she is I wish the best, and if indeed she's permantely gone from HOJO's then I hope that wherever her path leads in life that it's given all the good KARMA that she's overdue in getting.

I asked specifically about Lorealle on the HoJo Anaheim FB page, and found this answer on a post:

Lorealle is still part of the HoJo Anaheim family, (once you're in, you're in for life, LOL!) but is working fu...ll-time on other projects. Keep your eyes peeled as you may see her pop up from time to time. In the meanwhile we can assist you on any trip planning on our message boards here: http://www.hojoanaheim.com/boards/index.php.

That is in keeping with what I had been told over the phone. And posted on this thread. What is interesting too, is that when you email her, there is no reply. As if she is not allowed to do so. This is how it seems to me.

I doubt if she has any access to her emails anymore. It would have been nice to have seen a note from Lorealle herself on the Facebook boards. At least we know she still reads the DISboards and knows we are thinking of her. :goodvibes Thanks, Dangermouse, for your post.

This could be glazing over what actually happened. I mean if you are born in New York and move to CA you are still a native of NY. Perhaps these full time projects are reffering to something other than work at the Hojo. Full time project at a college of the Fairfield inn.

Why can't she, Lorealle herself, just pop in and answer some messages or threads. "Hey everyone thanks for your concern. I'm working in a back of house position in the Hojo. Please ask Jonathon if you have any questions about the Hojo."

That would be professional customer service. Not thinly worded messages that are up for interpretation.

I agree....and this is my sentiment as well from day one.
When something bad and or negative occurs on the job, or in a workers personal life, a certain silence may result. Which is what appears to have taken place in the case of the missing Lorealle.

That's why I'm sure it's not a good thing...because that's exactly what my company told people after they fired me....

I am figuring Pixie that the company that you had worked for, told you not to talk about certain elements and or issues. You might have even signed a contract of confidentiality.
When a document such as that, is signed, then it is very important to not breech it.

I had an experience where a company that I had worked for became very ugly and unfair toward me. They threatened me. I have no idea why they did so. Only that they were in the wrong, not I. One person stated a so called breech of contract if I do X. When in reality, I never signed such a document, nor did I do X. The other person from this company, stated to me that I did not sign anything, but standard employee paper work. That is true. It is interesting that the two people that are in charge of this small business, cannot even get their stories, nor inaccuracies correct.

I live in America, and I have a right, as does everyone else, to speak to whom they wish and about whatever they choose to do so (Normally on both counts)

In the event of an actual confidentiality clause, and or contract (Of the same nature) that a worker has signed then again, for as long as one does not cross it, then no one is doing anything wrong.

Companies have no business nor right to bully and or harass, nor lie to workers, or former workers. Especially when an employee is doing a good job.

To bad companies and people everywhere, good luck with staying in business. And if you do not get what you truly deserve in this life, then you will in the after life.

Gisele I did sign a confidentiality agreement but that was in regards to products that were in development for the company at the time of my termination, it has nothing to do with telling people I was let go, or laid off, or I quit......
Your situation sounds similar to mine, I did not do anything wrong, nor was I told not to do it, in fact I had been told I could do it and had done it for years and then suddenly BAM, they terminated me doing what I'd been doing.....I still feel it was wrongful termination, unfortunately I really have no proof....

Wrongful termination in California can be difficult to prove, yes. However, not impossible by any stretch of the imagination. My suggestion to you, if you do not mind, is to locate a law firm that specializes in such types of cases. Typically law firms will speak with you initially without charging a fee. You may also call Len Tillem, he's a lawyer in the town of Sonoma. He has a free legal advice show on KGO Radio 810 a m. You may also send him an email, via KGO Radios website. Please do look into it. For it sounds that you had been working for this firm for a long time. To have the permission to do X, and to continue to have such for a steady, long period of time, then all of a sudden, you are fired for doing X, just sounds plain wrong to me, and on so many levels too, it is not even funny.
I am so sick to death of companies and rude people playing with the incomes, reputations, and lives of good, innocent, hard working people. In my opinion, it is of the utmost importance to stand up, when it is a matter that cannot and or should not be overlooked by the worker, or a citizen (Depending upon the matter at hand)

I wanted to add that by what I had typed, it was not my intention to make it sound like I thought anything was wrong by what you may have posted. Not at all matter of fact, because you most definitely have every right to tell people that you were let go, and that you do not find it to be fair.

I have talked to a lawyer, who told me it would be very hard to prove and probably not worth my while. Maybe I'll send an email to the person you suggested as well. :)

Hojo Anahiem usersname signed by Jonathon posted on a thread today. Since Hojo was able to post on that but not clear up this is very negative.

Hojo must really being going down the tube.

How does the fact that Jonathan Whitehead (who has been the GM of the HoJo for years and years) addressed an issue regarding the internet connection at his hotel on the Disneyland section of the Dis, but chose to not personally comment about an employee in the community section (which he probably doesn't even know exists) equate to the "HoJo must really be going down the tube."???????

Because Hojo isn't able to take care of fundametal questions about thier service.

Why is their normal point of contact missing?
