Can someone tell me (historically) the best time of year for the cheapest stays in value resorts? What sort of discount rates might one expect to get on a 5-7 day stay in a value resort?

We've paid as little as $49 a night (plus taxes) within the past 3 years.
I doubt that they will dip that low again.
But, nobody knows what the economy will do to attendance and what Disney will do to
entice guests... so anything is possible.
A price in the upper $70's per night sounds more likely.
We are staying the end of the month/beginning of Oct for 54 plus tax with the AP. We have, in the past, received mail offers for 49/night in Jan. We never were able to go on the 49 but will be there for 54/night and that is for the weekend as well!! We were very surprised that the rate was so low!!

The way I figure it, the current package discount is $50 per night for value. We are paying a total of $575 tax included for my room with my infant on the reservation, 9 nights and a 1 day base ticket. We are going Oct 31st to Nov 9th. The AP discount was much higher for this time period even with the extra ticket.
